Has there ever been a show you watched or book you've read, and later you regret doing it?
I'll be honest I use to watch Dragon Ball Z and thought "Man this sooooo coool!" Now that I think about it, what the hell was I doing.
Oh and then there was Sailor Moon, watched I think most of the seasons and also thought this was cool. Now I regret watching it, but then again maybe it wouldn't hurt to just watch it for the heck of it.
No Homac this does not mean I'm gay or perverted... I know what you're thinking.

Denying it changes nothing dude. My thoughts and accusations remain.
I have to admit, I regret ever playing a DBZ game. Especially against Pryth. You know what I mean, huh Kash?

I think we all have a much different definition of 'cool' once we're a bit older than we do as kids. To a 12-15 year old, a 'cool' show is one with lots of heroes, monsters, special effects, and explosions (giant robots and/or collectible merchandise help, too). This is why Power Rangers -- which, consequentially, I loved as a kid and cringe at as a 24 year old -- is still running hard towards 20 seasons. Once you get a bit older, you begin to realize that the monsters are just guys in giant rubber suits, the heroes were actually ripped off of a Japanese show through the wonders of video editing and voice dubbing (while being given American faces when not in their shiny spandex armor), the special effects are repetitive and aren't really all that special, and the explosions... well, the explosions can still be sorta cool, but the tacky martial arts melodrama that goes with them tends to weaken the impact quite a bit. Kids generally don't see the "annoying" details and blunders because their imaginations fill in and gloss over these inconvenient truths in favor of enjoyment. Still, taking these childhood fancies and throwing them in the light of more mature reactive humor has proved to make them cool once again. For Power Rangers its stuff like the Mighty Moshin' Emo Rangers, and for DBZ nothing quite tops DBZ Abridged (warning: offensive language in both video links).

You know what I regret? That Harry Potter movie I saw last night. Half Blood Prince? Yeah, I regret that. The only exciting part was when Ron nearly died from poisoning. Now that was exciting, watching him foaming and writhing. =D
Otherwise, the whole movie was a bore.
I bet a bunch of people are going to confess regretting the Twilight book they read. >_>

Oh yeah... I really regret that. I mean really the book got too repetive around the third, I think, and so I stopped there.
Seriously who wants to read a book about a chick trying to kill herself on mulitple occassions, just so she can hear the gay vampire's voice in her head?
Really who wants to read that kinda crap?
Oh watched a little bit of the Emo Rangers... got funny, then completely weird all in 20 seconds.

Yeah I have major HP regrets.
I have seen all the recent, and very awful movies, aka. 4-6.
And, I've had the misfortune to play the games based on the 2nd and 4th books.
Lotta regret there.

GAH TWILIGHT FAIL MISERABLE PIECE OF CRAZY STEREOTYPICAL NONSENSE PALOOKIE AIMED AT THE MASSES MADE SOLEY FOR FREAKIN' FAN GIRLS SO THAT THEY HAVE SOMETHING TO FAWN OVER.
okaydonenow.
I read Twilight. And then I threw it out the window. Nothing interesting in it frankly. Good writing, failed plot. T_T
As for past sucesses that were actually failures... I want to say Code Lyoko, but I don't think it was all that bad.
But that's probably just my childhood speaking.

Yeah I'd say Code Lyoko was more of something that you're like... What? This weird. Funny thing, I didn't know it was a french anime until homac told me, I just thought in was a failed attempt by us Americans. But I'm happy to know that maybe we still have a chance to be good. ....... Ah hell, who am I kidding, that day will never come.

I bet a bunch of people are going to confess regretting the Twilight book they read. >_> I AGREE. It was less Harry Potter and more...Some sort of chick flick involving pitiful attempts at teenage romance and relationship problems. See, if I was more clever, I'd be able to name one. Highschool Musical? Yeah, lets all pretend I'm witty. The movie was frankly a disappointment. The only two scenes I remember are Lavender being a woman in the train and Dumbledore casting that fire spell. They even skipped the epic fight scene with the Death Eaters at the end.

I regret NOTHING!
=D
<- Still has ridiculously immature tastes
<- Also he's never read Twilight or seen High School Musical or more than the first 2 Harry Potter movies, so he doesn't have to regret those.
I don't even regret Cadillacs and Dinosaurs. Who knows what I'm talkin' about? Eh? Eh?

More or less, if people really did have mind they would stop watching these overly expensive movies that take everything that we all know and love from the books and just toss them out the window onto the pavement and let people who don't care step on it like an old piece of gum, then pick it up dump it in the toliet a couple of times, do their buisness then pull it out and throw in our face and say "YEAH SUCK ON THAT PIECE OF TIME WASTED IN OUR FAT BEVERLY HILL ***** THAT WE COULD BE SPENDING ON DRUGS AND BOTOX!" ......................................................................................... It's hurts on the inside to see money gone to waste on horrible movies.
