A Titulary King [Iris/Open]

Lucius was now trapped in a corner so to speak. With Meiser trying to rush him to say what the prediction had really meant, he was now forced to tell them the truth about the prediction. He cleared his voice began to scratch the back of his head.

"Y-yes the prediction. A rather interesting one indeed. I've never had one with such a peculiar way of imagery. Usually it just shows a picture and a title at the bottom. I-I've never had one like this before."

He tried to laugh a little but it came off as a very nervous chuckle, sounding like a child who was unsuccessfully telling a lie to his parents. He placed his two index fingers together pushing them against each other. He tried to look away from the three so he would not see their reaction once he told them.

"Uhhh.....I don't know what it says......"

Lucius closed his eyes fearing the worst from these three now. What would they do now? He wasn't expecting much from the girl, but the other two especially the masked one were likely to try and beat him up and take back their munny. He held out his arms bracing himself for the worst.

Ah...she was a little disappointed, yet relieved as well. It was odd, but either way she sighed, a smile jumping to her face. So maybe it had no meaning at all. That was fine..she'd only did this for fun right? How silly of her to get all serious! Her disappointment was her own fault.

"Well! My future love is a mystery, even to the fortune teller! How exciting... don't you think guys? That means it must be really good, or very interesting. That sounds much better than just knowing. Adventure is always the best way to go."

Giggling, the girl reached out and touched one of Lucius's hands, trying to ease him. "Hey! We aren't going to hurt you, geez. We aren't thugs...But I did enjoy the show. It was very cool!" she chirped in a soft voice. "What's your name, anyway? With cards that can give images like that, I think I'll tell everyone around to come see. Would you like that?"

Iris was too good for her own good, sure, but she had to disarm the boy a little. She couldn't stand him thinking they would be mad because he didn't know how to read the image...

"As long as that black hole doesn't mean impending doom, I think I'll be alright. Black holes are terrible things..."

"Huh?" Lucius peeked out from behind his arms to see Iris cheerful face. Her kind words meant he would live to see another day. He let out a sigh of relief and placed his arms down. "You are too kind Miss Iris. But what good is this trick if I can't do it right?"

"Bah!!! And I thought that I had done everything right!! I followed the instructions just like the book said!!" he yelled out rubbing his head with both hands which caused his hood to go over his eyes temporarily blinding him until he pulled it back up.

"Ahem, I am afraid that I have not been honest with you all. Lucius is not my real name. It is a name that I use for petty street performances. My real name is Raphael Kozmos."

Raphael pulled out a card from his deck which flashed brightly blinding the three people for a brief second. Once they were able to see the hooded man they saw before was replaced by a young white haired youth with big blue eyes and a nervous smile on his face.[/size]

Oh, how cute!

Iris was still grinning. "Well honestly, in your line of work no one has to know you didn't do the trick right. You could make it all up and most of us wouldn't know the difference. I mean, as long as you're known for good fortunes that make people happy, they'll pay you, Raphael," she informed him as if it was happy fact. Then she seemed to think on something a moment. "You know, I think I like Raphael more than Lucius anyway."

Leaning against the edge of the table he was using, she formed a teal star in her hand, smiling softly. "I can do..a kind of magic myself...but yours is prettier. These only explode..." the blond chattered briefly, then closed her hand and the star went away.

Meiser kept his hand onto the table; he knew this man was nothing but a cheap nobody. He retracted his hand to stand normal, arms crossing one another as he surveyed the man’s real appearance. The masked marvel also saw through this disguise, Raphael, what a joke. Snickering to his real name, he only strolled around behind Iris and then stood beside her with a grin. She was too friendly, she didn’t get angry but she did show him her own little powers that he saw as the real thing.

“Hm…Interesting.”

The man whispered, Lifting a finger and pressing it to the center of his chin, in his own little world, perhaps her type of energy could be another huge step among man-kind. If he found her people, he could do a series of tests to extract the power and use it to his own advantage. Smiling to his devious idea, he leaned on in to Raphael, extending his arm and forming a fist.

“And I can do this, sir!”

His middle finger flicked open, slapping the tip of his nose, Meiser cackled from his joke, he always knew how to make a good laugh among friends, or at least, he thought they were friends.

"But I can't lie to them, that would be dishonest and improper." Raphael said with a look of shock and awe, (even though ten seconds ago he had been using a fake identity). "But to be honest, I don't do this as a profession. This is just so I can try out new tricks and earn some munny on the side."

Iris then leaned forward showing Raphael a magic trick of her own. His eyes sparkled after witnessing this, he had never seen a trick like that before it was something most spectacular. Then Meiser decided to show a "trick" of his own. Raphael looked at the mans hand and was very perplexed. Showing the middle finger wasn't anything special, heck he could do that as well. The young boy was unaware of what showing the middle finger meant, in his world they didn't do that. Raphael kept staring at Meisers hand waiting patiently for something cool to happen. But he would find nothing. An Raphael didn't feel anything when he flicked him with his finger, perhaps he had done it wrong or something.

Looking back at Iris, "That was a spectacular trick! Let me try it out." Raphael scrimmaged through his deck until he pulled out a blank card from his deck, he concentrated hard on the magic trick that he had just seen Iris do. The card slowly started to glow brighter and brighter until it finally became all white, then it formed into the shape of the teal star just like the one Iris did. Holding it in his hand he smiled at Iris. The star soon reverted back into a card and the card soon disappeared. "Too bad mine are just copies and not the real thing. People would adore being able to hold a star and watch them sparkle in their very hands."Raphael looked at his hands with much disappointment. He pulled out another card from his deck and held it up. The table and the chair suddenly began to shake around and in a flash they were sucked into the card. He examined the card and placed it back into his deck.

"Once again I apologize for not being able to tell you what the card said. But I believe I may know someone who does. He is a very powerful magician, who is knowledgeable in all sorts of magic including prophetic visions. He is someone I know may be able to interpret the prediction."

Alexis turned around, hiding and trying his very best to stifle his laughter. There was an odd bemusement one could derive from seeing those three chatter so carefree about magic. Times change; perhaps it was better this way.There was only one way Alexis had ever known to use magic, and that was for war. There was no beauty in his magic, no entertainment or joy could it offer. Only a flash of light and a cold grave.

He remained silent and cross-armed, watching in what he might have called content, at the interesting people he had found. Only observing; not taking that step forward to join them. He did not reside in the same plane they did, he did not feel the same magic they do. They were this close and yet still worlds apart.

Did she want to know? Or didn't she? Her stomach twisted..hehe! How silly, to feel this way over a silly fortune that meant nothing. Nothing at all! Right?

...Right?

Her smile was nervous now, as Raphael's had been earlier. Just because her people never did it and she'd never seen anyone do it didn't mean ti was real. Her self debate was rekindled and continued on in her mind, back and forth whether the fortune was worth learning about. Did it matter what it meant? Was it real? Or was it all fun? This kid seemed to think it was real. Real enough to work extra to define. That wasn't helping her case at all... She was so caught up, she didn't get to scold Meiser for being a jerk.

"Who and where is this person?" she asked tentatively, looking back at Alexis. He would come with her right? Sure he would...he seemed to be a gentleman that wouldn't let her be led off into uncertainty.. Her eyes asked him to come should Raphael lead.

"His name is Master Yen Sid, and he lives in a secluded tower in another world. I can take you there if you really want to go." Raphael began looking through his deck looking for a specific card. "Lets see here, I think the world is called Twilight Town." His eyes widened once he found the card that he had been looking for. He held it up high and summoned an old looking wooden door behind him. The door had a decorated image of the worlds name in orange letters with yellow out lines, and the clock tower along with a few other buildings were placed behind the name.

Raphael looked at the door and then back at the other three. He had a big grin on his face and seemed very anxious to go. "Do you wish to go and see Master Yen Sid?"

Meiser somewhat smirked to Iris' interests in the fortune, people were too gullable lately. The trickster ruffled through his cards, charming; another one of his tricks. Suddenly, the door behind the man appeared with strange decoration. Backing up, he ran swfitly and placed a foot onto the table, flipping over the card master and ending up behind him. Placing his fingers along the texture of the door, he examined every spec of its existance.

It was real.

He looked to the letters, tracing the orange outlines and reading it, Twilight Town. The builiding behind it looked as if everything was moving, maybe it was what actually happening at this moment? Pondering, he looked for the door knob, none. Standing back once more, he laid a swift kick to the center of it, hoping it would explode open. If not, he had a couple of explosions to use to force the realm open.

Raphael panicked running over to the door and placed himself in front of it so Meiser wouldn't try anything else, "Wah!! Please don't do that, it disrupts the portal and can mess up the set location."[/color][/font] He looked back to see if his kick had done any damage. Nothing was there but a footprint from Meisers boots. This was good, any damage done to the door could result in them popping out in between a wall or hundreds of feet in the sky.

"I can open the door for you. But first, I have to hear if the lady wishes to go and see Yen Sid." [/font][/b]Raphael looked over at Iris awaiting her answer.[/size]

Iris turned to the boy and smiled, nodding. "Yes, let's go! It sounds like it could be an adventure, one I'd rather not miss out on. Besides, I don't think this world has a beach...and the boys seem bored," the star child chuckled softly, nearing the door and looking at it, though not without a slightly scolding look to the masked man. Really, kicking other peoples' property? how rude could you get? If he'd broken it, not only did Raphael say it could disrupt it, but also she had a feeling that it couldn't be replaced or paid for. Then what would Meiser do? Work it off with a magic show and give the munny to the boy? That didn't seem likely at all.

"I hope this Yen Sid man won't mind a few unexpected visitors..."

The instant she said that about Yen Sid, Raphael felt somewhat distraught. He didn't even think about that. What if Yen Sid didn't like visitors? After all, he lived secluded in a world that was in another world and that could mean he wasn't someone who wanted visitors coming by. Raphael was now worried that going over there would be a bad idea, but the nice lady was so eager to go now. It would be ungentlemanly of him to deny her now, after he told her she could find out her fortune.

"Well... lets not dilly dally around, Yen Sids Tower here we come!"

Raphael placed his hand on the center of the door and gave it a small push. The door opened revealing a pool of light on the other side that was taking the form of Twilight Town. Raphael nervously smiled as he stood to the side of the door allowing Iris to go in first. Ladies first after all.

Alexis grinned broadly and curtly took hold of Iris' hand, dragging her off into the door without a second's thought and before she could mount any kind of protest. His parents had told him not to take candy from strangers, but they never said anything about strange kids and doors of bright light. It was interesting, the chance for a little adventure, Alexis could barely contain his almost childlike glee.

He wanted to meet this Master Yen Sid, a sorcerer that could very well rival him, though Alexis had never heard of the man himself. There were many legends circumnavigating the universe, including his own, he had not the patience to listen to them all. If Raphael's door led where it was meant to, Alexis and Iris would find themselves beholding a tower of intricate magics.

After Alexis and Iris entered the portal Raphael looked over at Meiser who had not gone in yet. So will you be joining us to go and meet Master Yen Sid? If so then please hurry, this door doesn't last forever.[/b][/color]

Raphael went in taking one last look back at Meiser. Don't worry about closing the door if you don't feel like going. It will close after a few minutes. [/b][/color] With that he went inside the portal vanishing inside the bright light. [/size]
