Upsilon is a tall boy of about six feet and three inches with a fairly muscled build but still relatively thin body features. His brown hair, cut to about three inches in height and styled in a strange pattern, compliment his dark brown eyes. His face is rather plain but still, it adds to his mysterious quality that he does look so plain. His skin is a light tan complexion and he doesn't have any other distinguishing marks.
His usual attire is a blue hakama with white accents wrapped around the waist with a large white band and golden string. With this he wears dark blue, extremely loose fitting pants, white socks, and black sandals. He wears his sword, Adazakura, at his left hit side's hip.

His secondary attire he uses very rarely consists of a strange set of clothes. It is comprised of a black t-shirt, dark blue pants, white socks, red dress shoes, and black gloves. Over this strange outfit he wears a white cape around his neck which drapes down his back to just below his knees, and to accentuate this he also wears a white hat on his head with an overly large brim having a large white feather sticking out of the red band of cloth wrapped around it.

Upsilon is a cold, planning boy. He usually enjoys to keep to himself, making him quite mysterious, and he isn't allied with anyone he doesn't like usually. He is cold to most people he meets until they get to know him. He prefers not to keep many ties either. He loves to paint and dislikes anything that would get in the way of his art. In battle he is also planning, able to think up strategies on the fly and react to an opponents fighting style. However, he himself is quite random in battle, assessing the situation and making a strategy quickly to fit it. He seems to be hiding something beneath his personality.

Weapon Name: Adazakura
Weapon Description: A simple looking katana with a nineteen inch blade. It's sheathe is entirely black and it has a square hand guard. The handle is gold wrapped with black cord.
Unique Notes: Adazakura is extremely durable, able to withstand and block attacks from even greatly powerful weapons. It is also infused with magick, making it a powerful weapon for casting as well.

Base Ability: Spectrum (Nightshade(Synonymous))
Sub Abilities:
Higher Spectrum: Lifebreak- Concentrating large amounts of magick into his sword, Adazakura, Upsilon forms an aura of dark magick around his blade. He then slashes with said blade, dealing moderate damage. (Note: Power increases inverse to remaining lifeforce. I.E.: Lower HP means Higher Damage but it always uses the same amount of energy.)
Hypochondria- Using this magick ability, Upsilon concentrates magick into the shape of small playing cards. Said cards have extremely sharp edges that can cut through skin easily, and are used to deliver a poison into the opponents bloodstream via the cuts made. Said poison weakens the opponent, slowly damaging them from the inside. The effect of the poison is increased and sped up by the amount of cards that cut the opponent. Said poison lasts for 2 turns before it has to be renewed.
Dimensional Rift- By using this ability, Upsilon concentrates large amounts of magick energy. Said energy is then released to form an amazingly large, light purple, circular seal on the ground with him at the center, which quickly expands to it's maximum size, stopping with a size of thirty meters in radius. He then uses his own lifeforce to activate the seal, ripping the fabric of space and time instantly at all points within the seal in a sphere and ripping the area of effect apart. It does incredibly massive damage to anything within it's range of effect. However it will leave Upsilon just above the point of unconsciousness after use. (Note: Only usable once per battle and drains Upsilon's life force to just above the point of unconsciousness. Upsilon is immune to the damage of this technique even though he is at the center of it because the seal protects him due to it being activated with his own lifeforce.)

Background:
In the town of Cardian, roughly twenty three years ago, a boy was born to a middle class family. He was educated very well and at a young age he began to learn the art of swordsmanship. His friends, what few of them he had anyway, called him too obsessed with his sword skills but he paid them no heed, and as such he had very few friends as a boy. He oddly didn't care about friends however, focusing entirely on his skills with a sword.
On his sixteenth birthday he received an ancient book as a gift. It was a book of magick, and an old one at that. Upsilon soon found that he had a great interest in the book and began to practice both magick and his swordsmanship, becoming highly proficient in each. He set out from Cardian on his eighteenth birthday, going some distance away to a large city to look into a library said to contain many a book of magick.
He had traveled far and traveled long, never resting in one place for too long, not more than needed anyway. He eventually found himself in a small town where he stayed a night at the inn. However upon awakening, and going to the local cantina, he found news that Cardian had been raided by strange creatures and burned to the ground, every soul killed and not a house left standing, nothing was even left to pillage and the town he had once called home was nothing more than a smoldering crater of ash and ruins. But for some reason he didn't seem to really care.
It was a short while after this that he was traveling a main road, a dirt road, when a wagon filled with goods pulled up beside him. He looked over and saw that it was filled to the brim with trading wares and it was being pulled by two old brown horses. As the wagon stopped, the head of an old Nu Mou popped out from the front. He greeted Upsilon and asked whatever he was be doing traveling by himself in a place like this. Upsilon explained he was on a journey to a library said to have many books of magick and the Nu Mou ducked into his wagon before coming back out with an old katana. The sheathe was entirely black and upon inspection, the blade was about nineteen inches long. The handle itself was gold wrapped with black cord.
The Nu Mou explained that it was a blade infused with magick despite how plain it looked and that it's durability was amazing. It was also a weapon that could be used effectively for casting magick. He offered it to Upsilon for a reasonable price and he of course accepted. The Nu Mou left shortly after, giving Upsilon directions to the city he was looking for. He introduced himself only at the beginning of their transaction with only the name "Ezel."
Upon his twenty third birthday, he had been studying magick in the city for some five years. He had been training with both his new sword which the Nu Mou called Adazakura, and a large variety of different magicks, especially those related to the colored magicks. He was one night training his swordsmanship at a remote lake outside of the site he often frequented when his blade began to glow just as he began a horizontal slash. As the blade cut through the air it ripped open a large, circular portal. On the other side of the portal appeared to be an old hallway so Upsilon stepped through, but as he did the portal closed and he was trapped in what looked like an old house.
Proceeding through the house in which he found himself he came across a ghostly butler named Albert who introduced himself before giving him the grand tour. Upon being asked why he was being so kind to Upsilon, Albert replied that in the will of the last owner of the castle as it was found to be, it was stated that the first person to find this place would inherit it and so he was in Upsilon's service.
After this, Albert led him to the courtyard, a beautifully lush green lawn accented by trees with strange golden leaves. The entire area was lit by a strange twilight hue, a hue which had to be produced magically because the sky was a constant overcast of black clouds. Out past the courtyard was a large field of barren wasteland, filled with crags and rocks before it hit a large, dark forest. The forest was creepy looking, even from that distance, and it was unsettling to even look at, let alone think about going into, not that Upsilon ever actually has.
After this he questioned Albert on how he was going to get out of the world, to which he led Upsilon up to the old owner's personal library. He gave Upsilon the owner's diary which was bookmarked to a certain page. It turned out that Adazakura was sold to the owner of the house who simply cast a special enchantment on it to make it open a portal, which was an ability it possessed anyway, once the user had obtained enough skill. Said portal would lead back to Spiritkeep and that person would be the new owner of the castle in compliance with his will. All of this to ensure that not just anyone would get said castle.
He read fruther to see that he could open these portals to any world he knew of from Spiritkeep, and from any world he found himself in back to Spiritkeep. He thusly went to researching some of the other books in the room before finding mention of a world called Wonderland. After reading into it he decided to experiment with Adazakura by opening another portal. He was successful and opened a portal to Wonderland, which he began exploring before returning to Spiritkeep to again look through it's massive library of books. He is currently exploring Wonderland as well as researching in Spiritkeep to find new worlds to explore. He has also found that Spiritkeep's library contains hundreds of books on Magick as well and he continues to practice his swordsmanship and magick while researching. He has yet to read further in the owner's diary yet.

Upsilon can open portals to Spiritkeep using Adazakura, and from Spiritkeep he can open portals to any other world he knows of.
