Name: Mocchi
Alias: None
Age: 29
Gender: Male
Race: Moogle
Alignment: Neutral
Origin: Ivalice
Appearance: Unlike the many moogles spread across the worlds, Mocchi is one of few who hail from the world of Ivalice. This particular type of moogle is usually larger and often choose to move using their legs rather than the small bat-like wings on their backs.
Mocchi stands at around 3'2 (not counting his considerably large ears), a height which he considers too tall not to make use of his own two feet rather than the two small black wings on his back. From the back of his head protrudes a long antenna ending in a fluffy, green pompom roughly half the size of his head. His body is covered in soft white fur though the area around his left eye, the upside of both his arms and a small portion of his back are of an auburn hue. Close to the centre of his usually cheery face shine two yellow eyes.
Mocchi wears a pair of small leather goggles on his forehead. Rarely are these seen over his eyes however as their main use is for in the forge. He wears a brown coat with beige sleeves, fastened round his waist and chest with a number of leather belts and straps, along with a pair of baggy beige trousers. On his hands he wears a simple pair of black leather gloves and on his feet shoes of a matching style. Around his waist is a belt with various pouches attached used to hold his various tools.
Personality: A moogle who takes pride in his work is Mocchi for he works hard at all he does and he is quick to anger at any that do not see the quality of his work. Fortunately this anger is always short lived. When he is not fussing over his work Mocchi is as happy a moogle as any. Usually untrusting of the many peculiar people he meets Mocchi is not an easy moogle to fool. Those who talk little and try not to draw attention to themselves are the ones that more often catch his eye. However, munny has always been a sure way to keep this moogle quiet or to gain his favor. Still, no amount of munny can cause him to help those he names as enemies.

History: Born to a family of Bhujerban moogles Mocchi had been surrounded by the work of artisans, engineers, architects and people of various other crafts since he was born. Most would agree that Bhujerba was the perfect to raise a young moogle. His father in particular was an engineer, though one of little merit. However, it was through him that at the age of fifteen Mocchi managed to find a master so that he could begin his apprenticeship as a blacksmith.
Under the tutelage of his master, the hume Helos Margrace, Mocchi studied for seven years, slowly making a name for himself among the city and eventually surpassing his masters skills. Even after reaching the end of his apprenticeship Mocchi remained with his master for he was old and many said that he would not last another year, himself included.
Once Helos had passed away, Mocchi had little reason to stay in Bhujerba besides family though they to agreed it was time for him to see the world. He travelled Ivalice, learning of its many wonders and always listening for new ways to advance his skills. Little did he learn for their was little he did not already know, or atleast that was so until he found himself upon the Ozmone Plains. There the Garif dwelled and it was they who had the greatest understanding of the earth and its ways.
At first the Garif were wary of him. Few wandered through their lands and those who did were all treated in a similar way. Eventually he proved to them he was worthy of their trust and after much coaxing and persuasion Mocchi had convinced the elders of the Garif tribe to allow him to be taught the ways of the Geomancer.
Through his training Mocchi soon learned that which he needed to know. The Garif enforced the idea of the the earths endless cycle and other things that were no doubt important to them but that as it may be, they were not important to him. What he gained from their teachings was how to find the best minerals, how to extract them and then how to forge them into what he needed. The Garif, not all too pleased with the way in which he used (or in their eyes abused) their teachings refused him any further teachings.
Eventually Mocchi chose to leave the Garif's land of Jahara. Though the Garif had not cast him out they were once again wary of his actions and for him that was more than enough reason for him to move on. He decided to travel to Rabanastre and from there to return to Bhujerba for a time to see his family. Fate however had different plans in store for him.
While making his trek through the Giza Plains that night strange beasts seemed to follow him from the shadows. Though he could not be sure he was almost certain these creatures were not of this land. It was not until they began their assault that he knew they did not belong. He lacked weapons to defend himself and though he tried to defend himself the skills he had learned from the Garif were not conditioned for battle, after all, Mocchi had never imagined he would need them for such purposes. Soon he was exhausted and all was dark but then some light returned and he was aware that he was somewhere entirely different. This was somewhere new.
The town in which he had arrived was odd in design. Its buildings did not resemble any of those he had ever seen. Compared to the design of cities such as Rabanastre this place seemed rustic. He stood, dazed at first though the world stopped spinning after a minute. Noticing the number of humes walking through the town he decided to ask for help and was surprised to find that the inhabitants treated his situation as if it were the norm. He also learned the name of the place, Traverse Town.
Had his plans not been foiled yet again by yet another twist of fate Mocchi would have liked to stay in the town for at least a week or two. Unfortunately it was on only the third day that he was forced to flee. The town came under attack by another kind of creature; creatures he assumed were called Husks, using the cries of the citizens of Traverse Town and the whispers of such beasts he had heard around town as a rather large clue. Using a strange type of vehicle which the town’s citizens called a "Gummi Ship" Mocchi and a small number of evacuees fled to another world (much to Mocchi's amazement) by the name of Hollow Bastion.
Despite the gloomy atmosphere of the world, here was a place that Mocchi knew he could settle in. First, the town required a large amount of restoration work, a task with which Mocchi knew he would be able to help with in some way or another. Second, the world was covered in a strange type of crystal of a kind Mocchi had never seen. With some work who knows what use he can put the strange stones to.

Class: Defender
Weapons:
Weapon Name: Daggers
Weapon Description: Mocchi wields a pair of moogle sized shortswords though by hume standards they are little more than daggers. Despite appearances the daggers are the perfect weapons for Mocchi as they are light and yet still sharp enough to cause a fair amount of damage to his foes. The handle of the blades are made of basic iron wrapped with leather. The blade itself is an alloy of iron and a small amount of Orihalcum increasing the durability of the daggers. The blade, mostly comprised of iron, is grey though the blade is number of blue vein-like streaks running through it.
Unique Notes: The blades were crafted by Mocchi himself not long after his arrival on Hollow Bastion and his subsequent discovery of a small amount of Orihalcum.
Abilities:
Base Ability: Geomancer
Sub Abilities:Quicksand Trap
Mocchi changes the earth beneath him into a circle of quicksand. Any enemy who falls into this trap will be held within it until the ground returns to normal or they escape its grasp. By placing his hand where he desires the centre of the circle to appear Mocchi can then turn the area in which he placed his hand into a circle with a radius of 4 feet into 5 feet of quicksand (the sand is of equal depth in all areas of the circle). When laying the track a brief light similar to that of a camera's flash goes off and the place in which Mocchi has laid the trap is left with a small dimly glowing light. After selecting the area he wishes to change, Mocchi can transform it at any given moment (so long as he can place his hand back on the ground) so that he can escape the area before the ability is activated or activate it when his opponent stands on the area. Once activated the quicksand last for two turns after which the ground will return to normal and whoever has fell into it will emerge unharmed (unless they are attacked while trapped). Only one trap may be active at one time and after each trap is used Mocchi must wait three turns before using it again.
Earthen Assault
While touching the ground Mocchi can cause the earth to rise in either a 5 feet diameter spike or a flat side to either cut or pummel his opponent. While touching the ground he can cause any area of the ground within a 30 feet radius of himself to act in such a way though the further away his target the more obvious the attack is as the ground connecting him and his target will often shake and shift. After the attack is finished the earth will sink back into its original position. Cooldown three turns.
Extraction
While touching any metallic substance or any substance containing metal Mocchi can extract or destroy the substance. For example, by placing his hands upon a wall he could remove all metal substances which would either cause the wall to collapse or weaken it so that it could be destroyed easily. However he is limited to roughly 150 cubic feet, large enough to create a fairly large opening in a wall (unless it is considerably dense). Though this could be used on an opponents weapons and armor (assuming they are made of metal) it depends solely on Mocchi coming into contact with the weapon or armor with his hands. Furthermore, any flow of magical energy, be it through the users own channeling of energy or the weapon or armors own atrributes, prevents Mocchi from doing anything to the item. Mocchi's most common use for this ability is the extraction of useful materials for him to use in his work.
