Origin
Selia is native of Traverse Town. Before her birth, her parents were so so lucky to be able to escape the destruction of a far away world called 'Earth' and were never able to return there. However, they settled in Traverse Town quite well, to the point the often helped other refuges.
Appearance
Selia is a rather short young woman -her height barely reaches the average- and a bit too 'bony' for her age, though not for her own volition. These traits, added to a natural light-tan skin, that doesn't intensify much under the sun, make her look somewhat ill.
Selia's face has ordinary traits, with high cheekbones and a small nose ridden with few freckles when the weather is exceptionally sunny. She has inquisitive, owl-like green eyes that give the impression she's always staring hard at something. The only remarkable point of her are her hair, shiny, black and soft; indeed, its owner treats it with great care, as she likes them very much.
Pragmatic to the bone, Selia prefers comfortable clothes above everything else, no matter if they are skirts, jeans or gowns. The colour isn't that important, but green, blue or gray are the only ones she wears. For the same reason, she is wary of heeled-shoes, especially after a few incidents involving them and her ankles.
Her most valued belonging is her watch, instead, a nice, thin thing with funnily written numbers. It was a birthday gift and was able to survive on her wrist for already five years. Not bad, isn't it?
Character Personality
Selia's most remarkable merits are common sense and a good amount of auto-irony. One the other side, she has a superior attitude that often drives away people and though she usually doesn't follow prejudices, once formed an opinion on someone, be it good or bad, it is very difficult to make her change idea.
She wants, above all, to be always to be a step ahead of others, both in material and moral things, so to have always the control of every situation. A simple chat can make her really uncomfortable if the others are talking of things she doesn't know.
She usually sets for herself any other goal only once she finds something that's worth achieving, doing everything to reach it. She isn't an aggressive person though, on the contrary, she prefers to 'stay in the shadows', letting other people do most of the work and limiting to defend herself and the most treasured ones in cases of danger.
Currently, she plans to find the world her parents lost: she likes her town and her current life as they are (most of the time, at least), but she'd like to see that place at least once.
She lacks of self confidence when regarding her look, and isn't one who likes being noticed, but she often seeks other people's company, even if she wants to read a book on her own: she's a bit afraid of solitude and deep silence.

Weapon Name: False Ebony Staff
Weapon Description: A thin staff of a black, shiny colour. When the tip is posed against the ground it reaches Selia's lower torso.
Unique Notes: Selia isn't sure from where this thing comes: she found it in one of the wardrobes in her house and her parents couldn't recall where they've found it. She suspects the shop where those three small talking ducks live. Maybe a forgotten gift for someone?

Animal House
With enough effort, Selia can take control of the minds of some animals and have them do act accordingly to her desires. However, she can't give them capabilities superior to their natural ones and constant concentration is needed to keep control of the target, for they'll obviously try to fight off the 'intrusion'. In situations of great stress, the animal can break the link out of desperation or die.
[Currently possible with one animal at time, of those who have a simpler mind structure (insects, small fishes and birds, rodents) for a total of 6 turns.]
Amplification
Selia can perceive and amplify the feelings of those around her, making them happier, for example, or more scared so that they can choose to escape, or again overconfident to make them lower their guards.
[Currently works only if Selia can perceive the other's emotion by normal means, like facial expressions or general attitude, and thus it won't work if the opponent is faking. The grade of the amplification is low, working at the best with strong emotions.]
Magic Wielder
Selia can create a minor magic shield to block, or at least diminish, the damage of the next attack directed at her. During this time, she can't attack physically the opponent, for the barrier would work the other way around as well, but she can use one of her other abilities.
She can chose to create shield for one of her companions, instead, but in this case the focus needed is too much to do anything else with magic.
[Only the Mage and Amplification abilities are usable with this right now, for the Animal House ones takes too much focus for Selia to be able to sustain both it and the shield.]

Selia's childhood was pretty much common. She was born in the quaint Traverse Town, and her parents had a good work, her mother being employed in one of the city shops and her father being a lawyer and, when the worlds were still crumpling down, a guide for the refugees. Therefore, she had been one of the many girls around, and had a wide range of acquaintances and friend.
Her parents came from one of the very first worlds destroyed by the heartless, when Selia was so small she doesn't remember any of the happenings. She had never liked liked the situation at all and was always worried about what people thought about them, and if they pitied them, until she grew up enough to understand that they were for the most part all in the same boat. She settled with her new lifestyle and learned to mind her own business before other people's one.
In that period, she turned her attention to magic, as her mother had a few old books received by her ancestors and saved from the disaster, who, in the past, had been a line of famous sorcerers and sorceresses. Selia had talent for the thing (even if her power is small, considering her blood is diluted by generations of crosses with regular humans), therefore her mother had always encouraged her on that path.
The strange thing was that, the more she trained and gained confidence with her powers, the more she grew uneasy and jumpy: she felt observed, stalked, especially during evenings when the shadows grew darker and larger.
She kept ready to spot who could possibly be haunting her and one evening, she was sure she had seen something black with shiny eyes lurk in an alley behind her. Half terrified - half determined to make that situation stop, she went after it...
