Mickey had exited the Usual Spot while Sora and the strange girl made their little truce, but he hadn't gotten far. The King was standing at the end of the small alcove that led into Hayner and the gang's room, just looking at the alleyway. By the time the two arrived behind him their claims were already falling on deaf, though still large, ears. A series of white spheres emerged in the alley and many Dusks flew out of them before they vanished, forming a line in the street that closed them in.
Mickey's expression turned to targeted anger at the sight of the Nobodies. Without Organization XIII to lead them these creatures were almost completely without purpose. The flash from inside the Usual Spot must have drawn their attention.
"Get out of my way!" Mickey said in his squeaky voice. Whatever was riling him up hadn't affected his almost comical tone. As he made his demand the Darkside flashed into existence in the King's right hand. untrue to his usual nature Mickey didn't wait for them to have a chance to leave, the mouse suddenly leaped forward at the nearest Dusk. It tried to slither in the air around the attacker as only those boneless beings could do, but Mickey spun in the air and changed his own direction, slashing into the Nobody with his golden blade and turning it into a burst of fading blue.
Mickey landed in the alley with weapon ready as the Dusks all turned their attention on striking back against the mouse and his two friends.

So much for relief/ease of mind, the flash of light seemed to attract Nobodies to them and the words of the two fell on large but deaf ears. Instead he was focused on getting rid of the Nobodies or at least getting them out of the way. Now the problem in this situation was they were also aiming to attack Sora and the girl both of whom...had a hard time actually defending themselves. This was probably because the Keyblade wasn't manifesting itself.
Our hero wasn't able to catch any breaks at all it seemed. Though they still did well to avoid the attacks of the Nobodies, though they also gave space to Mickey so he could do his thing. No point in them getting in the way in order to provoke the mouse further. He was definitely angry, though he seemed to get even more angry after he started to glow green. The thoughts on the "Duo's" mind was "Why?".

Relentlessly Mickey bounding around the alley, hopping off of the street and walls alike as he swatted at Dusks with far more aggression than the mouse usually exerted on enemies. Normally he'd be checking to make sure his friends were all right, but not now. he just locked on to the closest Nobody and then homed right in on it with his weapon until it was vanquished from the worlds. After every defeat the Dusks suffered Mickey seemed to glow green for a moment, not like the flickers before but an actual aura. Whatever it meant though the mouse continued not to notice as he slew the foes. Only a few remained now.

Vanquished, with each of Mickey's movements; always precise, nothing wasted...the enemy was slain. Of course they know of the King's prowess but it was rare they ever got to see it first hand without otherwise fighting alongside him or somewhere else all together. Likewise they observed the green aura which cloaked Mickey's form. He seemed to be possesed, driven to continue fighting. Did he even notice the duo? Probably not though thinking quick they ducked as a Nobody attempted to tackle them. The poor soul had just sprawled into an area closer to Mickey.
Yeah, he would most likely be a goner. With all the twists and turns thus far, it would have become likely that something would have happened to Sora once more, though alas nothing of the sort. Whatever Sora's ailment was, it seemed to stablize. Perhaps continued exposure to the King and his Heart had caused some stability?

The last Dusk exploded into a shower of dissolving blue as Mickey Mouse stood in the middle of the alleyway, weapon held out. His movements had been so fast that even the unarmed pair hiding out closer to the Usual Spot hadn't had the chance to get overwhelmed by enemies, though certainly the King hadn't protected them as well as he could have either, should he have actually thought to do so. Standing there, catching his breath, Mickey glowed the fiercest green yet before it too faded away and His Majesty stood up straight again. Without relinquishing his Keyblade Mickey turned and looked at Sora and the girl again, though he had ignored them until now.
"Can't even lift a hand to help me out!?" the King asked as if he had been offended. He certainly hadn't asked for assistance in the middle of the brawl when he was spurred on by anger to each opponent.

"Sorry your Majesty" both of them said insync, before they continued to speak.
"For some reason I can't use the Keyblade but with the way you moved, I doubt we would have been able to help much, that was incredible."
Though seeing the new green around him, certainly put off from speaking further. They were actually 'scared' now, this couldn't have been Mickey...could it? It really bothered them that his actions and mood seemed to get worse and worse. Continuing with the synchronization, they were both thinking of what they could do to get the lovable King they knew back. So far, the one that loomed in the back of their mind wasn't the first choice of action.

"You can't use the Keyblade?"
Some sense of worry seemed to come across in Mickey's voice during that sentence in the place of the rage that been looming in the back of his tone before. The King's expression did not soften that much, but it was noticeable and the green flickers remained absent.
Mickey turned away from the pair and seemed to be looking down. Though they couldn't see it, he actually had his eyes shut in thought.
"Well, you never know if they might come again. You two had better stick with me after all," he said finally after some silence. It wasn't quite as friendly as the Mickey they knew, but it was a lot closer than anything he'd said since the girl appeared. With that the Keyblade vanished and Mickey started to walk away down towards the sandlot without looking back. The King didn't want them to see the expression on his face as it gave away his inner thoughts.
'They could have gotten hurt and I didn't even notice.'

Perhaps albeit only a little; the words of Sora and the new girl got through to the King. The eerie green which enveloped him wasn't present, though it was far from his normal tone of voice. He told them to stick with him, though he soon became quiet, his back turned towards them as he walked. They'd follow no doubt, behind him at first but soon they'd walk right beside him despite the chance they could very well be attacked by him, they were his friends...friends stuck together and tried to help each other in their time of need.
Though now that the danger was gone, Sora began to properly consider everything that was happening. He didn't miss how in sync they had become and even the fact that she said the same thing as he did twice in a row.
"Wait a second, you've been repeating what I've said for awhile, what's going on?"
The sudden out of sync response caused her to become startled though only momentarily. She'd take the time to answer just the same.
"You're...the one who is repeating what I've said aren't you?"
She then paused for a moment before extending her hand to shake Sora's own.
"I'm Melodia, nice to meet you...Sora."
She then moved from Sora's side so that she was on Mickey's left.
"I'm sorry I didn't tell you my name earlier your majesty, I've only just regained my memories/senses. You remember me right, I was with you in Neverland, the one who told you about Sora?"

Mickey didn't look to Melodia or to Sora as they walked. He kept his eyes on the route ahead leading down the stairs to the sandlot. The way he had acted finally caught up to the King's conscious mind, and it had disturbed him greatly.
"So, your minds have completely switched places now have they?" he asked, still sounding like the whole matter was a bother. "First you're Sora with no memories. Then he there is Roxas, slowly becoming real again. Then you fade away and come back. Then he still looks like Roxas but claims to be Sora while you no longer look like Sora and you say were the one talking to me as Roxas, even though he's standing right there next to you."
If the duo tired to follow the King's words perhaps they'd start to understand why he was getting so easily pulled in by whatever was causing him to act so temperamental. From the perspective of an outsider watching the whole mess. Mickey actually stopped and looked at both them with a frown.
"Its a wonder I can have any idea who either of you are, or even believe that you're really my friend."
The King hadn't actually meant to say that last part, but something had kept his sentence running past the original ending. Something lurking in his shadow...

Listening to the King carefully, they did try to understand what he was going through, though it probably did more harm than good.
"I'm sorry, I'll try to explain as best as I can before it gets complicated."
So at least one of the two knew what was going on? Level up much? Sora whom was now on Mickey's right listened carefully his memory/mind had been shuffled so much throughout his encounter, he'd only remember bits and pieces. Though he too was starting to recall the journey in Never Land in pieces.
"My memories have become like a jigsaw puzzle, fitting themselves together in some places while leaving blanks in others. You're right to wonder if you're even talking to your friend...but there's no mistake, I am your friend and so is Sora. I can't say for sure which of is Sora and which isn't. Maybe we're both Sora? All I know is when I'm in trouble my memories are taken away and when I wake up I end up in another world."
Sora nodded, "That's been the case for me also, I left Twilight Town to find Riku but after that, everything is a blank. When I came to, we were in Never Land and dancing? Then we were on the ship and...Melodia was with us, right? Like she was there the whole time I'm sure but where did we meet, was it here just now?"
The truth remained hidden, though understanding seemed closer.

"According to you," Mickey pointed out, acting strangely suspicious. "Why, from the moment I saw Sora in the woods he had no idea who I was, then there was the shadow around him staring at me. And now you're here who I'm sure I've never met and neither has Sora."
With that the King turned again and began his descent down the stairs. The sandlot was just below, though he didn't hear any activity down there to suggest many people would be around.
"And now you can't even summon the Keyblade," was the last thing he muttered on the matter. Despite being the one of the "two" who appeared the most dangerous, it was mickey who had ended up not trusting Sora because of their unnatural conditions. OF course that would never have been had Mickey Mouse been truly himself.

Sora had listened to the King's response but the way he was talking, he wasn't sure 'who' he was talking to. If he was talking to Melodia why did it sound like he was talking to him? More confusion that he didn't really need. Mickey's additional comment about the Keyblade was what made Sora raise his eyebrow. Mickey had been acting rather strange, he decided to let him walk further down the steps to the Sand Lot, whilst staying behind to talk to Melodia.
"According to Mickey he met me in Neverland but I don't remember much of the details. You seem to remember fine, so what happened?"
Teamwork, it seemed Sora's ability to make friends easily had already started to take effect. They began talking, trying to get the story straight between the weird events before arriving in the Sand Lot. For now they could only conclude that both were there but not conscious of it throughout. So the new question on Sora's mind was...
"So am I...you? Or are you...me?"
Though his question wouldn't be answered just yet.

Mickey made it down to the sandlot by himself, noticing that the other two hadn't followed him this time yet not bothering to wait up. At the bottom of the steps the King looked around the area. It seemed a large struggle event had concluded earlier today or this week, for a large wooden platform was in the lot yet the few workers present were taking notices and decorations down instead of putting them up.
Mickey walked a few steps in and then turned his back to the wooden stand, leaning back on it. He sighed and then let his feet fall out form under him, plopping onto the ground.
"Why can't I bring myself to trust him?" he asked himself, bringing up his gloves to stare into their blank white color. "I guess I'm not who I ought to be either."
The King should have gone back to the two Soras. He had wanted them to stay together in case any more Nobodies got attracted to the scene. Instead he waited to see whether or not the pair would even bother to try and join up with him again, realizing every second of it that it wasn't the right thing to do.

The reason for the silence in Melodia's mind was clear, the question Sora asked implief that one of them wasn't 'real', wether he was her or she was him only one could exist. That didn't sound right, nor did she want to burden his mind with such so instead she moved to take his hand.
"You're you and I'm me. The only thing that has changed is that we're connected, like Best friends."
With the mood in the air not looking up, it was perhaps the best thing she could say to uplift both of their spirits. They'd already made a friend become weary of them, sending him through a loop. Although his new behaviour puzzled them, they largely blamed themselves for the matter and so, instead of concentrating on figuring out what was wrong with themselves, they went to catch up with King Mickey. Just as they were approaching his position near the sign, a wave of Nobodies would surround them; specifically dusks.
Normally Sora would be able to handle them no problem but without the Keyblade...

"You look like Mickey Mouse to me."
The voice that spoke was familiar, though a bit more airy than usual. The smile was present however, and should he look up he'd see a certain red-headed princess of heart standing about two feet in front of him. She'd just come around the corner from, well, wherever she'd disappeared to to rest herself.
"Why the long face?" she asked, crouching down now to be on a more equal eye-level, though with how small the mouse was it was almost impossible to ever be eye-level.
Once she got a better look at Mickey, she tilted her head concernedly. This also aided her longer bangs to move out of the way of her other eye so she could get an even better look. She'd never seen the mouse so...glum.
