Sephiroth looked at Kadaj idly. What a silly question.
"We are the will of Mother. We act as Mother, can one traitor who defies Mother be stronger than her collective?" Sephiroth smiled and continued. "He has never met Mother in her true form however, he can't even bring himself to accept he's a pawn to Mother. He is not stronger than me Kadaj, nor is he stronger than Mother."

Kadaj started walking forward. Sephiroth's allure was drawing him in deeper, a trait also possessed by his brother Yazoo. He knew that collectively they were powerful, he and his two brothers always overcame hardships for Mother's sake by working together as a perfect team.
"Then we will crush him and make him suffer for what he has done!" the teenager seethed.

"Exactly. All of us together, he has no hope." Sephiroth relaxed completely. "What are the names of the rest of the brothers?"
OOC: Gotta go. Sorry. Dx. Tomorrow to finish?

"There are three of us," Kadaj confessed, his mental defences all but wiped away by Sephiroth. "Yazoo and Loz are their names."

"Kadaj, Yazoo, Loz. I assume you three are all capable." Sephiroth was deep in his own thoughts, not entirely present as he was a second ago.
"I have much for you all to know. Perhaps more..." Sephiroth turned and nodded forward. "If you wish to come with me, feel free, otherwise I will find you three sooner or later."

Kadaj's expression turned inward, thinking of everything that had happened to him now. To go with this man? To return to his brothers?
"I must return to them," he said finally. There was much to think about. And much to tell them.

"As you will." Sephiroth did not turn around, but continued off in the direction of the surface. His wing disappeared as did Masamune.

As Sephiroth was leaving Kadaj's mind began to feel uneasy again... like conflicting transmission mingling in his subconscious, each trying to guide him a different way but neither quite getting through. No longer being directly stared down and questioned by this man he began to feel like some grip was loosening on his heart, if only slightly.
"What does the traitor look like?" he suddenly spoke. Kadaj himself wasn't certain why he did, but it sounded like a good question once it was actually out there. The teen looked up again directly at Sephiroth's back, wondering if he would get a response.
He had been told that the black sheep of their family was... different.

Kadaj's question stopped Sephiroth in his tracks, not because he was startled, but as if he'd asked himself the same a million times again.
"A bit taller than you, blue eyes, blond hair. Just by that you could pick him out relatively easily. He used to carry a large sword with too holes, now it's similar but composed of many different swords. Though...at times he switches the two. Do not go looking for him Kadaj." Sephiroth finished and continued on his way, never looking back once.

"No. I wanted to know so that..." Why had he wanted to know? "We wouldn't approach him like any other brother if Mother showed him to us. Too dangerous."
Yes, that seemed right. It had been the reason he'd asked after all.
"After all, if even you can't defeat him alone..."
Kadaj had mostly said that last part to himself, looking off to the side. But for a trained superhuman like Sephiroth, it would most certainly be heard.

Sephiroth was well on his way until selective hearing kicked in. The exact words he never wanted to hear.
"Oh?" In a moment he turned, a quiet fury in his eyes. "And what would you know? Do you know the details and events of the past?"

The "little brother" was caught seemingly off-guard. His green eyes absorbed the emotion hidden behind Sephrioth's matching ones with wonder.
"You said you were Mother's first," the boy stated, almost stopping there as if that were enough. "I can tell you know him well, brother. Even fought him. I can feel it. But the traitor still lives."
Hands clenched. Anger seeped into Kadaj's facial features.
"If it were me, if I had the power of Mother's chosen one, I wouldn't allow him to exist!"
Kadaj was angry at Cloud and venting it, but Sephiroth was being caught in some of the crossfire. If he were really so great, how could he let such a person keep living? For a child like him it was all too black and white. Sephiroth hadn't yet killed the betrayer so Sephrioth had been too weak.
Was that really the limit of Mother's first? To be bested by a traitor to her love?

Kadaj had tested the limit's of Sephiroth's patience. That was one thing no one ever mentioned or questioned concerning him: his duty to Mother. Not even a "brother".
Sephiroth's left hand was outstretched, clenched, perfectly still. "Then tell me, why is he still alive?" Kadaj was doomed to answer, and doomed to take an answer much more different than the actions Sephiroth put forth before.

Kadaj didn't normally feel fear. Doing what he did for Mother's sake always overturned the need of that in any danger. But now, even though it was ignored due to childish emotions more prominent on the surface, deep inside his heart a shadow of fear passed at Sephiroth's words.
"Because we aren't strong enough unless we untie together," he began, though it felt compelled to believe that such was not enough. "We have to combine Mother's total strength together against him. I guess Mother not being here has affected us all, brother, if even you are too weak."

"Mother is more than you can even imagine. The traitor is nothing compared to her. Cloud is a pawn to Mother, Kadaj." Sephiroth's statement was a warning. Tread further and you will not like the result.
