~Standoff in Action City~

[Faust]

Explosions rocked the side of the building, and the flagpole was reduced to splinters as Theo was blown off his perch, cursing his bad luck as he plummeted the rest of the way down to earth.

Meanwhile, a hapless street-vendor hawked his wares. "Fruit Stands! Getcher nice, well put together Fruit Stands! Can't have wanton superhero destruction or high-speed car chases unless there are a couple of fruit stands to demolish!" T-man crashed into the stands, causing them to all collapse around him like dominoes. The vendor continued. "Collapsable Fruit Stands! Easy to set up, easy to knock down! Guaranteed against even the heaviest plummeting object! Fruit Stands!"

"Ohhh, my back." The helicopter blades grew louder over the sound of crashing metal in the far background. "Think fast, Theo. Gotta fool that chopper for just a little bit longer." Standing up, he stood next to the street vendor. "Fruit Stands!"

"Getcher Fruit Stands here!" The vendor chimed in.

"Fruit Stands!"
"Endorsed by ACES themself!"
"Guaranteed to be the most comfortable things you'll ever crash into at high velocity!"
"Fruit Stands!"
"Makes a fantastic New Year's present!"

"I want a status report, now!"

The remaining helicopter radioed in to General Green. "Sir, we lost two helicopters, and T-man escaped."

There was no verbal response, but instead what sounded like someone tearing apart consoles, then "Return to base. It looks like we'll need to resort to plan B."

The last helicopter disappeared in the horizon. Theo smirked. "Right. Now to find a way back into the fray. Ah, my poor back." He hobbled off, looking for a way back up while his flight powers returned.

[Homac]

Zeke smirked as the helicopter crashed to the ground, and then noticed Theo hobbling down the street. 'He must've hit the ground pretty hard,' Zeke thought with a wince, 'too bad for him!'

Zeke flew towards Theo and swooped him with a pair of shots, trying to eliminate him quick.

[Kashew]

*CRASH!!!* Lucy landed on top of a few metal trash cans, she was in some serious pain but she had to ignore it for now, hopping on one leg as quickly as she could down the alley, she rammed a door with her left shoulder and slipped in closing it behind her. She pressed her back against the wall slided down to the floor. She was breathing heavyly when she heard the droids coming, she held her breath hoping they wouldn't hear her as they passed by the door going further down the alleyway. She escaped their grasp... for now that is. What she really needed to do now was get back up to the roof and see what was happening with the rest of the fight.

[Faust]

"!!!" It was impossible to describe the sound of surprise, frustration and bitter happiness that erupted from Sir Theo's mouth as bullets ricotched off the walls and the townsfolk panicked. "You're definitely keeping me entertained, Gunslinger! Now let's try again; one more round for your master of ceremonies."

Jumping up, he activated his flight powers and took to the sky. Suddenly, strange music began to play from nowhere. Sir Theo was summoning one last burst of resolve, determined to take out this worthy opponent or risk his health in the attempt. "Ahhhhh...." He spit out a giant ball of ice and went into a sort of strange corkscrew, aiming to hit the hopefully distracted Gunslinger with arms crossed in front of him in a full-body tackle.

[Homac]

Zeke glanced around quickly as the dramatic music began playing. This didn't bode well for him, it proably meant that the master of games guy was gonna get a second wind or something.

Deftly flying our of the way of the ice ball, he landed on a building and struck a dramatic pose, his head slightly down, eyes closed, and his left arm by his side and right arm straight out to the side.

"I'm gonna end this now..." he started softly, "Now show yourself, Double Zeta!!!" The second sentence was shouted, and as he finished, he snapped his fingers and there was a flash of light and a massive, humanoid figure appeared behind him, the Special Assault Unit known as Double Zeta.

He stepped back, into the machine's hand, and it rose into the air. There, it leveled it's double plasma cannon at Theo, and fired.

The four beta droids flew around the alley where Lucy had landed. Target lost. Begin search pattern Alpha, with contingency plan Iota. The droids fanned out, searching high and low for the missing girl. However, they missed the door, and flew up to rooftop level to continue the search.

She slowly was making her way up some stairs when a shock went through the entire building. Ignoring the pain Lucy ran up the stairs to the roof top. As she opened the door, the first thing she saw was a like piece of machinary firing its cannons. Thank god, I'm only dealing with the little ones.*Kitsu*
As Lucy moved away from the door she noticed one of the little guys. It had it's back turned to her but she didn't know hold long, starting from a runner's position she made a sprint for the thing. As she came upon a pipe running along the roof she used it as a jumping platform. Verti! As soon as her weapons formed in her hands she made a slice for the thing.

[Faust]

"Oh you gotta be..." The sound of Plasma cannoned hero cut his sentence short, and even ended his heroic song with a needle-scratch. Flying bacwards, he crashed through a wall and landed in a hot tub.

"Excuse me..." said the young, eligible bachelorette who was taking a soak at the time. "I believe you're getting masonry in the water."

"Why yes!" Theo said in reply. "Flash Beagle is a friend of mine. Tell me, have you ever been to Weasel-burg?" He collapsed with a splash.

"Player One has left the battle. Initiating Clean Slate."

A bell chimed, and the two remaining combatants would feel a healing light. It wouldn't be enough to heal all their wounds, but it would certainly give them a second wind for the final showdown.

((Really, really sorry bout the slow response. Sir Theo's out of action, but the HYPER-DROME is still an active entity, so stay on your toes.

The Beta that Lucy attacked was destroyed, but not before sending out a distress signal as it was hit.

The three remaining Betas immediately converged on Lucy's position and began firing.

Of course, the Betas weren't the only ones who picked up the signal. The ZZ also turned towards the building and, after Zeke flew out of it's hand and hovered behind it, it flew towards the building, drew it's plasma sabers, and came up on Lucy, swinging down with both energy blades.

Zeke simply hovered behind the ZZ smirking. He knew that the superheroine wouldn't be able to handle the ZZ that easily.

[Kashew]

As soon as the other droids started attacking her, she started running away again. But as she looked over her shoulder, she saw the montros of a mecha swing it energy blades down onto her. Lucy saw a length of pipe and again like she did with the droid she used it to vault herself into the air. The montro mecha's swords came down destroying what would have been her, and was launching debris into the sky. A large piece of the building was on a collision course with Lucy be with her training she shift her position in mid-air and grabbed hold of the debris. It got her a few yards away and land on top of another building. Lucy knew this was not going to go well for her but she had to make the best of it. Lucy jumped off the building letting herself fall then set her flight into motion, staying low to the ground was probably the best thing to do right just so she could avoid the big guy and deal with the real problems.

[Homac]

As Lucy began retreating from Double Zeta, the Betas stayed abover her transmitting her location to the larger unit.

Zeke looked at his giant robot and signaled to it. "Double Zeta, take her down now. Fire the Hi-Mega Laser."

Responding to Zeke's command, the middle of the ZZ's chest opened up, revealing a massive laser cannon.

Then, using the data from it was being transmitted, it fired in front of Lucy, moving the laser towards her in a massive, sweeping arc.

Whether Lucy dodged or not, the city was going to suffer, big time.

[Kashew]

Lucy was hoping to go about sneaking around without being spotted but that didn't work considering a cannon was being fired at her with some "great" precision. Quickly Lucy dropped to the ground on all fours then turned tail to the left into a small alleyway. As the laser continued to it's sweeping motion at her, Lucy started running down until she came upon a chain link fencing. Lucy ran up to brick wall and launched herself onto the chain link fence, when she caught hold of it she was just halfway up the fencing so she quickly started scrambling up to the top. As she reached the top of the fence, a fire escape ladder caught her eye and made a leap of faith for it. She barely caught it with her hand, quickly as she could she chicken winged up into a more comfortable climbing position. Then made her way up the ladder, as she reached the top of the building get on top was probaly not the best choice considering the building was being blown to smitherens as it sweeped. Once again, Lucy started running away from the laser this time jumping from building to building slowly making her way closer to the source in a wide spiral movement.

[Homac]

As the laser petered out, Zeke noticed that his enemy was still running. She'd avoided the laser. Huh.

"If you want something done, you have to do it yourself..."

Zeke flew after Lucy, going as fast as he could, and had Levanter in his right hand. He came at her back like a bullet, going for a slash that would split her back open.

The ZZ moved behind it's owner at a good pace for a robot of its size, and as it got near, it began to fire it's smaller cannons.

The Betas circled around Lucy as well, using their lasers to try and stop her long enough for Zeke or ZZ to take her out.

[Kashew]

Lucy heard the laser die down, but as she looked over her shoulder a blur was coming at her. Verti!
Lucy summoned both charkams and quickly spun them at high speed spinning to the back of her hands. She turned around just as quickly and caught the attack with her high spinning charkams. But by exposing her back she took laser shots from the droids but her attention was more on her opponent. Gasping in air she blew it back out into her opponent's face to freeze him.

[Homac]

There was a horrid screech of metal as the knife met the twin chakram.

Zeke pulled away from his enemy and armed a Cryo-Grenade and tossed it to her underhand. Smirking, he said, "Here, this should help you in battle. Or at least, it should help you last a little longer."

He hoped she would be naive enought to catch it, where it would explode in her hands.

The ZZ had approached, but had stopped moving for the minute, along with the Betas.

[Kashew]

Instead of jumping backwards like her opponent she knew she'd be in trouble if he got the distance on her, so she jumped forward at him launching an extended punch. In the middle of the jump she transfer the other charkam to the side of her leg. As her feet made contact with the ground she went into a low swiping kick then swinging the kick into a upper diagonal kick causing an upward draft to form around her.

Re-Take~
The screeching of the metal did a number on Lucy's ear, that she didn't catch most of what her opponent said. In fact when she saw him toss her the ball with a smirk on his face, she didn't really know what to do but catch it.
