Audition post (400 words):
"Well I suppose I could check it out fer ya Donald." Those were the last words Goofy had said to his friend before leaving Disney Castle, and heading to Yen Sid's tower. Donald was worried that something bad had happened to Yen Sid, for he had not been heard from in some time. Goofy didn't think so. Yen Sid was much too powerful to be defeated by anything that he could think of, and if it got too difficult for him, he was smart enough to flee. But Donald was his friend, a worried one at that, so to calm him down he agreed to go check up on the sorcerer since Donald couldn't get away.
He had landed in Twilight Town only minutes ago, and wasn't quite sure how to get to the tower. He knew he could get to it via a strange looking train, or at least that's how Sora, Donald, and himself got there last time they went looking for Yen Sid. But he wasn't sure if he could get there the same way this time. So he went up to the nearest person, and asked them how to get to the train station. He told him to go through the Sandlot, to the "Usual Spot" alley. From there just head up the winding path, and then Goofy would be there.
Goofy thanked the man for his help, then proceeded to do so. When he got to the Usual Spot, he saw Hayner, Pence, and Olette. They asked where Sora and Donald were, and so Goofy explained.
"Well guys, Sora's back at his home with Kairi and Riku, or at least he was last time I saw 'im. And Donald's back at our's. I came to check up on somebody for Donald, cause he was worried hyuk." The four laughed, and after explaining who it was, and how he planned to go see him they explained that they saw the train stationed there ealier today, but didn't know if it was still there.
"It's okay guys, if the train isn't there then I'll just hafta get there another way." He then said good-bye, and ran for the Central Station. He then proceeded to enter the station, and looked around. He saw that the train he was looking for was still there, and ran toward it. Unfortunately he ran into somebody in his rush to get there, and knocked both himself and the other person over. It was none other than Vivi. After the two got up (and Vivi fixed his hat and brushed himself off), Goofy apologized.
"Sorry 'bout that feller. I'm kinda in a hurry and wasn't paying very good attention to where I was goin'." Vivi just nodded, and then walked off. Goofy then finished the short jog to the train, and boarded it. Moments later the train left the station.
As it was nearing the tower, Goofy looked out the window.
"Gawrsh it sure is nice an' pretty out there." Now he thought that the last time he looked out the window heading to the tower, but somehow it hadn't lost its appeal. When the train stopped, he got off, and then proceeded to head inside the tower. He then proceeded to climb the many steps to Yen Sid's room, and went through a few small rooms on the way up, but didn't have any trouble. Eventually he made it to Yen Sid's room, and was somewhat worn out from the walk up. He opened the door, and walked in. Sure enough, Yen Sid was there.
"Hey there master Yen Sid!" Goofy said as he saluted. He then proceeded to explain why he had come, and that he was relieved he could tell Donald that Yen Sid was okay.
"You know somethin', somethin' just don't seem quite right here." Goofy squinted, and looked around. But he didn't see anything out of the ordinary.
"I fended off the last of the Heartless that found my home a nice place to stay only a short while ago Goofy. There is no need for concern."
"Okay master Yen Sid, if ya say so. But I still can't shake the feelin' that something isn't quite right." Yen Sid dismissed the thoughts as just being overcautious, and then told him he was free to leave. Goofy saluted, then turned to leave. But he wouldn't make it out the door. For the moment he did, Yen Sid hit him with magic, and rendered him unconscious. But before he blacked out he heard Yen Sid speak.
"The Forgotten cannot have you and your friends running amok while they try and conquer the worlds Goofy."
Goofy's last thoughts before he lost consciousness were along the lines of what the Forgotten were, how they got Yen Sid to work for them, and what was going to happen to him now that he'd been caught. And most importantly, who was going to warn the others about what was going on? And what was Donald going to think when Goofy didn't return?
(I incorporated the Forgotten into this audition, and well, it doesn't matter for the plot at all, so I made it just for the sake of this audition that Yen Sid had been attacked by the Forgotten, and was being manipulated. Hope this doesn't dock from my audition itself.)
