Race ~ : Despite the many forms I can take, I am human. Well as human as a magical wizard can be.

Physical appearance ~ : Well I am quite tall. I'd say around six foot three inches to be precise, or rather semi-precise. I am rather skinny (though that's expected of an old codger like myself), and weigh about 145 pounds, though this is merely speculation. Now don't tell anyone this, but I've lost most of my hair. Or rather, it relocated to my face, and that forms the rather long silvery beard you see now. And just because I'm old does not mean I have wrinkles, though I suppose you wouldn't be wrong if you said I did.

Clothing/Accessories ~ : Ah yes, my apparel. Well it is rather unique to some maybe, but you might find that amongst the elderly, we tend to wear this sort of thing all the time. It's a light blue night gown. Yes, with matching shoes, and even a tall hat! I even wear spectacles. Well I'll be, I seem to fit the stereotype of an old man rather well now don't I?

Alignment ~ : I'm good. Except I do tend to do some mean things from time to time.
Behavior ~ : Have I ever mentioned just how much I despise technology. Oh why with all the racket it makes, and for all the troubles it causes, I just don't see why that grumpy good for nothing mechanic can stand it. If it wasn't for the fact that he's done more good for Radiant Garden than harm, I doubt I'd even let him use my home as a base! Of course Leon and the others are always welcome, but Cid is on thin ice! I do tend to be somewhat impatient, and I rather dislike repeating myself.
I do my best to help with the restoration of Radiant Garden, and my magic is a big help. Sure it backfires from time to time, but at least I can fix it! Well, unless Cid makes things worse, or those infernal Heartless do. Oh how I loathe Heartless. They take our home once, and then they have the nerve to try and take it again. If my magic was nearly as effective as Sora's Keyblade is, well then, I'd have no trouble at all with them.

Description: Good old fashion magic. It has no real form, but usually looks like sparkling dust flying through the air. It is usually channeled through the wand Merlin carries, though he doesn't need it to use it (see appearance pic for the wand). When he uses, either non elmental sparks fly from his fingers, or his wand (depending on the situation).
Abilities:
Diluted Familiarity!: Allows Merlin to make any magic or magical ability used against him weaker. Any damage from abilities equals in strength to a lower ability strength. Weak abilities don't do any damage. Magic equips such as fire do minimal damage.
Strength: Weak
Uses: Passive
Multipurpose Magic! (canon ability): Merlin has the ability to temporarily grant another person use of magic. This magic is one of the main elements (fire, blizzard, thunder, aero), and is always a weak version of it. They keep this ability to use magic for three posts before they lose it. He can't use it on himself.
Strength: Weak
Uses: Infinite, 2 post cooldown
Poof! (canon ability): Poof! allows Merlin to vanish in a cloud of smoke, and reappear ten feet away. He can't attack the same turn he uses this ability. He can't use this if anyone is within 5 feet.

Animate! (canon ability): Merlin has the ability to animate inanimate objects, and make them fight for him. They can be anything he wants, from swords, to even full grown trees. This lasts for three posts.
Strength: Moderate
Uses: 5, two post cooldown
Transform! Using White Magic (in the form similar to his poof), Merlin can take on the form of an animal, or any other living creature (of non-human variety).
While in the alternate state, Merlin is limited to that being's "stats" such as a dragon's ability to breathe fire and fly (at least that species') and their weakness to water. He always retains some of his human form, such as his glasses and beard. If he speaks his voice is also the same.
A rather hard tug of his beard will always change him back to normal. Merlin can exit the form at will if this doesn't occur, or can be beaten in the form (Being beaten in the form will result in him being forcibly transformed into his regular human form, but he will be as bad off as he was when he was bested in his non human form.).

Equips1. Thunder II - Allows the user to shoot a thin white bolt of lightning down onto a target from above in a flash. Almost impossible to dodge if the target wasn't already moving when this spell was cast. Erupts outward by one meter in all directions into a shower of sparks upon contact and deals weak thunder-elemental magic damage. 10 uses per battle.
2. Thunder D - Allows the user to create a yellow lightning strikes three meters tall, all arranged in a straight line 5 meters in length. The bolts do not all appear at once but rather one at a time, starting right at the user and then striking down right away after the last hit the ground as the trail extends to its full length. The speed of the line is much more than a normal person can run. Deals weak thunder-elemental damage to anyone caught in the line. Lasts 1 turn. 10 uses per battle.
3. Blizzard II - Allows the user to shoot a head-sized spiky ice crystal at high speed with slight homing ability. Very difficult to dodge at medium range. Shatters upon contact and deals weak ice-elemental magic damage. 10 uses per battle.
4. Fire I - Allows the user to shoot a head-sized fireball at high speed with slight homing ability. Very difficult to dodge at medium range. Explodes on contact and deals weak fire-elemental magic damage. 10 uses per battle.
5. Gravity - Increase the gravity above a target in the form of a dark sphere of magic that flattens out to shoot down and to slam it into the ground. Damage is equivalent to a moderate ability and is multiplied if the target was in the air and fell a farther distance or if the target's body mass/weight is quite high. The opponent can escape only by moving in a horizontal direction any vertical movement will get them caught. Five uses per battle, only lasts 1 post and can not be used again for 1 of your posts.
6. Magnet - Create a magical orb in the air above the user that sucks in all nearby objects, abilities and opponents within 20 feet. Three uses per battle and only lasts 1 post. The user can not attack in the same post Magnet is used but any characters caught by it will remain there for their entire post as well.

Archimedes has the ability to draw one attack away from Merlin, and at himself. This should be noted that this isn't by his choice, but rather Merlin put a spell on him making it so he had to, after Archimedes hid Merlin's wand one day. Strong abilities are affected as well, but may or may not hit him as other attacks would.

Uses: up to 2 (depending on strength), one post cooldown

History: Archimedes and Merlin have been companions for many years. Heck they even helped train a future king of England once. After that Archimedes spent most of his time in Merlin's magic bag, only to leave when he needed to stretch his wings. Recently Merlin has forced him out of the bag, and to help him out, just like he did in the good old days. Or at least, that was what Merlin told him before he pulled out his wand...

Ah yes history, perhaps my most favorite of all the subjects.

To save you all the details as well as your sanity (for I doubt many young people such as yourself would want to here every detail of my rather long life) I will only tell you the more recent events of my life.
For a time I stayed in England, training a boy who was nicknamed Wart by his foster family on how to be a good king. This included teaching him history, algebra, how to read, write, bathe properly (a task I only told him about, and never bothered to check), and the like. After he became king I stayed as his advisor, at least until he was old enough to rule on his own. Then I left to use my magic elsewhere. Radiant Garden (the world I called home for most of my life) had fallen to the Heartless, so I made my way to Traverse Town. There I taught Sora how to use magic properly, and even gave his group magically aligned weapons for completing tasks. I also introduced Sora to Winnie the Pooh (in a matter of speaking).
After Radiant Garden was free from the Heartless, at least enough for us to move back, the Radiant Garden Restoration Committee was formed. It consisted of Leon, Yuffie, Aerith, Cid, and myself. Sora, Donald, and Goofy were later made members of the Committee after venturing to our town. I then had to re-teach Sora how to use magic, for he had forgotten how to use it. I also gave him the summon Chicken Little. I later found the book containing Winnie the Pooh in Radiant Garden's Zero District, and after a Heartless attack damaged the book, decided it best not to tell Leon. I would end up going to Disney Castle to conjure a door to the past so that Sora could restore the Cornerstone of Light to its original state. And because of Cid, I almost ended up ruining the town's systems by zapping Hollow Bastion's power computer, though Sora, Donald, and Goofy manage to save it. After recalling the true name of Hollow Bastion, Cid and I decided to rename it. After all that, the only new events that have happened recently are the continued reconstruction of Radiant Garden, and the occasional mishap caused by Cid and myself arguing. Heartless are still around, but not in the numbers they used to be. And that my friends, is a good thing.
