Audition post (400 words):_______________________________
Namine hung another picture on the wall, smiling to herself as she did. The wall in question was covered in these, all on plain paper drawn with colored pencils, all of the same people: a brown haired boy, a duck, a dog, a mouse, a brown haired girl, and a silver haired boy.
Namine took time to look over all the pictures she'd drawn. She'd been drawing ever since she'd found herself somehow outside Kairi's heart and in this small town.
"Those are very nice, Namine." The blond nobody jumped slightly in suprise as Anna, the woman who had let her stay here, came up behind her silently.
"Ah, thank you. I think that they're easy drawings though, nothing special." The pictures actually brought back memories of the time she'd spent in Castle Oblivion, when she'd been made to manipulate Sora and his friends. She then mentally shook her head, she didn't want to think of that now, or at all if she didn't have to.
The older woman shook her head, "Nonsense. Who are the people in the pictures?"
At this question, Namine smiled, thinking about the subjects of the pictures, "They're friends. Dear friends who I haven't seen in a while." It was true. While she was still inside Kairi's heart, Sora and Riku had run off again, and the King, Donald, and Goofy had gone with them. Neither Kairi, nor her nobody had seen them for months.
Anna glared at the young woman who had become lost in her own memories, "Well, if you haven't seen them, why don't you go look for them? They'll probably be glad to see you."
Namine blinked at this thought, wondering how it hadn't come up before in the month she had spent here. 'She's right,' Namine thought, 'since I left Kairi's heart, all I've done is stay here and draw about them. Why didn't I think about going to find them myself?'
She found the answer herself a minute after the question had been asked, 'I don't know... Maybe it's because I was simply waiting for them to find me, like the last time. But can I really do that now? I don't even think they know that I exist outside of Kairi. No... I'll have to find them this time. This time, I'm the one who will fufill the promise to meet again.'
Namine silently turned to her things, her notepad, colored pencils, clothes, and then said while beginning to pack,"You're right. I made a promise that we'd meet again, so I guess it's my turn to keep that promise, rather than the other way around. Thank you for your hospitality, but I have to be going now."
Anna smiled to herself, she'd known that girl had something important to do. After all, girls don't normally appear out of nowhere without a purpose.
As Namine finished packing her things into a small bag and taking the pictures off the wall, she turned back to Anna. "Here," she said, handing the older woman the drawings she'd made during her time there, "I'd like you to have these. Espescially the one on the bottom." The one on the bottom was a picture she'd made specially. It was a picture of Anna's son, who had left home at some time and hadn't returned.
Then, the small nobody in white left the town to search for her friends once again, with one final thought on her mind.
'I hope your son Lloyd can find his way back too, Anna. We all need the light someone else can give us in out life.'
