HOLD IT! Such a wild and crazy idea, considering I was just on a PW binge the other day. If there's still an open spot, I certainly got a unique potential lawyer for ya USERNAME: Faust CHARACTER: Red Lonna ROLE: Defense, unless I'm needed elsewhere. LINK TO PROFILE: With a law book in hand...Even if I can't be an attorney, I'm keeping an eye on this. Maybe I could throw in a witness to get the shnikies crossed-examined outta them. XD

WOOT! Man, this sure generated a lot of interest in a very short period of time! You guys ROCK!Alright, so here's the deal. I've added an additional spot for both teams, and if both of the reservations come through that'll bring the defense team up to four (a bit more than I originally anticipated, but I can deal with it). I've got the gist of the plot worked out, including why someone like Vexen would have any interest at all. The Vorpal Sword has been stolen from the Royal Treasury Vault! Aaaaaand... you'll find out more as the investigation begins. The actual RP thread will go up on Saturday (Sept. 5th), so don't be late! You have a very important date! xP

Hey, you know what? The Defense Attorneys should get DAAs. DAA: Defense Attorney's Assistant. Usually girls a few years younger than the attorney, the DAA serves a variety of roles, including, but not limited to: Finding evidence, holding evidence, making snide comments about the witnesses (looking at you Olga Orly and Wendy Oldbag!), channeling spirits, performing magic, getting accused of murder, getting kidnapped, faking getting kidnapped, making general nuisances of themselves in investigations, and pulling evidence out of magic panties. If I can have an assistant it will be my character, Adena. That's just my thought, ya know? Plus, could we get the Judge from PW as the judge instead of the Queen? She's kinda crazy, along with being fond of removing people's heads. Edit: Here's one more exclamation for the cases: Eureka!

While I don't trust myself to join due to time constraints, I just wanted to say how much I approve of this idea. I'll be watching. :3
Maybe there might be a continuation of this sometime in the future? *coughhintcough*
After all, someone will have to come along to avenge the Prosecutors, should they fall. (Not likely, I understand, but you never know.) I which case, Larxy von Karma will have to fly from Germany to personally see to the matter. xD
edit: Course, I might have some awesome DAA material in the form of two other characters.

OBJECTION! If there's any type of Defense Attorney that's going to win this case, then it's going to be Dante, who's sense of justice may be a bit off, but can spot a contradiction quicker than any Attorney! All who oppose me will fail! USERNAME: DANTE WRIGHT CHARACTER: DANTE HYUBASI ROLE: Defense Attorney LINK TO PROFILE: DANTE If this is some genius plot to get me back, then I fell for it! (If it isn't, then I'm still here. Might just be a bit... less active.)

ONLY ONE OPEN SPOT REMAINS! Akito: Alexis as a prosecutor? Oh, now THIS should be interesting! ;D Homac: DAAs? Heh... not exactly what I had in mind, but given the spirit of what we're doing here I'll allow for it. I just don't wanna see everyone bringing a bunch of side characters into the mix -- this is going to be complicated enough as is. Also, the judge will be the Queen. It's story-important, trust me. She won't be beheading anyone (except maybe the accused if they're found guilty), and there's some very good reasons why. Just trust me when I say I've got this all figured out. Larxy Von Karma: Given it's popularity, this is DEFINITELY something I plan to follow up on. If all goes well with this one I'll begin plans for other Kingdoms and Courtrooms RPs in the near future. Dei: Sorry man... but like I said, this won't be a one-time thing. You'll get your chance. Dante: Genius plot? Maaaaaybe... >_> YOU TRIGGERED MY TRAP CARD! xP

Oh, random thought. How is this case supposed to work out, logistics wise? Is it going to be all prosecutors vs. all defense attorneys, fighting for the fate of one guy in a tornado tag match from hell, or are we gonna be taking turns squaring off against each other one on one like in the games?
Assistants, eh? Sounds super crazy. I'm stuck between getting Red a mouthpiece or just letting him talk and hope nothing too crazy happens when he quotes books. Fun vs. practicality...

Faust: Logistics-wise... it's gonna vary. When gathering evidence, doing interviews, and investigating things the teams will have the opportunity to split up and do whatever they need/want to do (relatively speaking). In the courtroom, however... I'm considering a turn-based system where one person from one team posts, then someone from the other team, and back and forth like that. This doesn't mean that everyone's got to go in a list-like sequence; in fact, I'd like to preserve a sense of rapid back-and-forth between the two sides. Thus, teams can either choose one person to represent and "speak for" their side during court time (if so, I'd advise coordinating that person's posts via PM) or simply have whoever's available first write the team's post (or some mix of the two, it's up to you guys). I expect there'll be some "maelstrom of lawyers" flavor to the proceedings, but the first option will let you guys tame it down and focus your efforts if you prefer. Homac: ... You DO realize that's a Pokemon card, right? Mayachu, I choose you! xP Also, I counter with LIGHTNING MAGIC! ... We're getting a liiiiiiitle bit spammy here, methinks. ^_^;;
