"We're all mad here..."
[/sub]Anyone with common knowledge of any sort knows that a cat can grin, and said person of the sort should know that the grin of a cat is not a true grin unless it is that of the Cheshire Cat. You see, unlike the grin of a normal cat, the Cheshire grin can be an object all its own, you see you will find cats with gins upon their face but you will only find a grin with no cat when it is a Cheshire.
"You must be or you wouldn't have come here."
Here. Where is here? Well it is not there, or yonder, this way or that. No here is a place where only the mad and the odd where, such as myself.
so
very
mad
indeed.
But it's curious you see, how one cannot be all there....especially one like myself. I am never all there, here, or anywhere. As you know a cat without a grin is a common sight but a grin without a cat, that is most curious. But what is ever more curious is what my grin, much like the moon itself, can show you. Though there are many things I can show you there are few that I will, for if I was to show you where would the fun be?
you see...
they are not called Adventures in wonderland...
for no reason... haha![/blockquote]
"A dog's not mad"
He was a curious fellow, the blue haired boy, though not to curious. In fact he could have been one of the boring people I had ever seen, even the Red Queen was more interesting to me (though with a temper like her's this is no surprise, but besides her temper she does not have much else going for her). He looked lost as he wondered around (not that I followed him, you see he seemed to be unknowingly reverse following me). Since it would be rude to just allow the boy to go on and eventually lose his head, either by going completely mad or by the queens order, I made myself known to him.[/color][/sub][/font]
"They are, that way." I said with my oh-so-large grin paired my all to shifty eyes.
"AH!" The boy yelled stumbling back a few steps. I must have surprised the boy by appearing out of no where (though I wouldn't call it appearing you see, its really that you can only fully be somewhere if you are really fully all there and I am not all there). "Y-your head! what's wrong with your head!"
Hm. Such a boring boy. He seemed to not even noticed I was attempting to aid him in his search, even though I knew nothing of what he was searching for, no this boy was far to busy being frightened by the fact my head was under my feet. But I just kept smiling.
"You can stand on your head, can you not?." The boy just stood agape starring at me and shook his head no. With no response from him about my advice I felt myself starting to vanish...
"Wait!" I heard him yell as his hand flew out to where I had been.
"Yes?" I said appearing on a branch behind him. This time with my head attached in its proper spot upon my shoulders.
"Who are tha- I mean who is that way?" again I grinned. Now this boy was going to play my game. A game I much enjoyed.
"Did I say they where a who?" I said with I chuckle. "No no I should have said what, those creatures your looking for, but..." I stopped to chuckle for I was at a loss of words that I wished to share with him. I could tell him it would do no good o seek them out or I could send him on a wild hunt for something that wasn't there.
"But what?"
"hmm?" I blinked at the boy and faded to another branch again. "Have you seen the queen today?"
"What? What does that have to do with where the heartless are? And stop grinning at me cat! I mean what sort of cat grins like that anyways!" Oh how his words just made my grin grow and a happy growl (or purr you might call it) erupt from me.
"I am a Cheshire. It's almost tea time too, the hatter does not care for people to be late, especially on his Un-Birthday." Back and fourth I flicked my tail as I spoke to the boy. I could see in his eyes how my words painted a scattered picture, if even a picture, in his mind of what he needed to do. I was making this boy even more lost then he already was 9which was surprisingly very lost)
"Ahh! Just shut up Cheshire! All this talk about hatters, and heads and Un-birthdays, what ever those are, is driving me crazy!"
"Now you see! We all are mad here!" I didn't give him time to finish the words his lips where forming I already knew he would question the said madness. "You see everyone is mad, the hatter, the Queen, you, and even I am not all there myself." I chuckle at my joke of slowing fading away when speaking and then reappearing at his feet.
"Well that is plain as day Cheshire! But I am not mad...But I do think I have had enough of you." I watch the boy walk off and I faded into a huge grin that was above him.
"Just remember, you cant trust the mad!" I knew I would see this boy again and I would get him into some trouble because the path he walked upon lead right to the Queen's castle and I was much over-due with antagonizing the Queen. Yes me and the boy would meet again and we would have some more fun, or at least I would. And with one last chuckle I vanished completely.
