As you are heading out the door of your house, a small glimmer of light catches your eye. You turn around and see a mirror, putting you face to face with your reflection.

Physical appearance ~ :A fair enough looking boy, having a certain charm to him, if you can get passed the often blank expression on his face. His height is decently above average, though he’s decently built, he is pretty thin, looking a bit scrawny. Though this is far less speculated when his shirt is off, usually to swim and such (AS: People actually care about things like this?) His completion is also a bit tan due to the climate of the tropical area, though he is a bit paler then most of the other residence. His hair is pure black, well kept, nearly combed over his right eye, as well as the back reaching a bit bellow his neck, making it somewhat mid length. Also, a bit ironic to his piercing personality, his eyes are a soft shade of yellow, actually looking somewhat kind.

Clothing/Accessories ~ : The first thing you’ll notice about Shin is naturally his glasses. Still pretty thin lenses in black frames, though the tips that wrap around the ears are white. As for clothing, he wears a long, somewhat baggy dark slate jacket, with a somewhat large collar, with buttons along the edges, rather then the usual zippers (SA: What is it with fashion and more zipper then pockets? ) under that he wears a short sleeve orange T-shirt, well matching with the Island decor of home. Around his neck is a white scarf, wrapped around pulled through, into a kind of tie like look.

On his wrist is a steel bracer, with a start shaped good luck charm attached to it. bright white with back edges, it’s made from the skin of the Paopu fruit. Kon himself also has an inversed charm made by Shin, though Shin’s craftsmanship is lesser compared to Kon’s (SA: What? So I’m not an artist, no one perfect you prick… ) His pants are a dark shade of lavender and are well fitting, not baggy, yet not skin tight. Finally he wears comfortable black running shoes, with yellow straps, again, very fitting for the tropical area.

~Personality~

As you're walking through the door, you see many sights that influence your mood. The different feelings that suddenly wash over you are many, leaving you with a strange mix of emotions.

Alignment ~ : Dark neutral (While he doesn’t lean towards evil, he still is delving into the darkness, which can be a bit rocky, he could be called an Anti-hero, or perhaps even an anti-villain)

Behavior ~ : A solemn young man, he can be a bit hard to read. One second he can be glaring at some, looking as if he was about to starts something nasty, and the next he can burst out laughing the next. Though many would call him very serious, that doesn’t mean humor is lost on him even if he is a bit dry. He also has no patience for, the ignorant, the closed minded, the overly cruel, and even though he may be a bit of a hypocrite here, people who think there superior to others, at least without good reason.

Though he prefers to talk before confrontation, he won’t hesitate in a fight. He’ll also gladly use scare tactics to win a confrontation or get information, like firing an arrow right beside someone head, maybe even taking a few hair off of there head. Still he’s not cold, he can be kind if the mood strikes. He’s a bit selfish with his goals, but time permeating, he has been know to help people when they need it. Though he knows little about romance, he has no issues with how other feel and what there sexuality is, but he himself is rather indifferent.

He’s also very focused, on really everything, his research, his darkness control, his school work, his training, his world,, his brother, anything he cares about he’s willing to die for, without a bit of hesitation. So you also see he’s quite dedicated. Even though he himself find it kind of silly he has gotten attached to his home, and can get just a little home sick from time to time.

Within battle his serious nature intensifies a good bit. Any none humanoid creature that act aggressive he’ll easily take down without remorse. Though he can be a bit more hesitant with more humanoid things. If all other avenues had been exhausted he could go in for the kill, but he would much prefer to leave some badly wounded or crippled, killing is just… for lack of a better word “Icky.”

And while the heartless that dwells with has lost it’s since of self, it still dwells within. Thus when Shin is either delving extremely deep into his power, or at near death, it starts to become more apparent. When this happens he often takes his glasses off, his eye growing bright and more sharp. He become more feral in nature, more brutal, and relies more on his power then his tactical nature, which has actually proven helpful at times. Still he’s never gone as far for his view friend and foe to be clouded.

ID: Hollow Thorn: Though more primarily used as a bow, Hollow Thorn is actually a dual bladed sword, mainly ebony, with yellow edges. When used as a bow, the edges soften a tad, it curves a bit more, and a somewhat thin purple string reaches from one blade tip to the other. As this weapon is rooted in darkness, crafted from the power of the heartless with, he can summon it easily, along with arrows, either singularly, or a quiver. When in blade from he can allow manipulate the blades with darkness, not to the point were it hover around him, but enough to easily twirl it repeatedly, offensively and defensively, or add another blade strike or two.

Wielder of Darkness
Shin wields the elements of darkness, an as such this implies many thing. First he has a slight resistant’s to darkness, and moderate weakness to light. He can also manipulate darkness, having full access to the corridors of darkness. Though the stronger ones will refuse to obey, an naturally lash out at him.

Midnight Shots
Rather then brandishing an arrow, Shin from one out of pure dark energy. These are much more powerful the normal arrows, and are far more augmented to darkness, with all the advantages and weaknesses that come with that. While he can use them as a large bolt of an arrow, he can also split them mid flight making it both useful for singular enemies and crowd clearing, though they are of course weakened should they split. Shin can fir three of these before the cool down starts, while this is versatile, it also mean it takes long before he can do it again.

Uses: Five per battle and three turn cool time

To Nightfall
A close ranged combo, starting that a pulse like burst of dark energy. Spinning Shins weapon as it glows with energy, and plunging it into the ground, leaving it unusable until the move is finished. 5 dark tremors, a few feet wide, and about ten feet tall bursting in a straight line one after another, meant to push the enemy, hopefully causing a chain. Each one if more powerful then the last, starting fairly weak and leading to a moderate, but damaging finisher. If dodged, Shin is in fact without a weapon until the last burst of darkness rise from the ground.

He, like so many other youths was born within the Destiny Islands. He was born into fine enough parents. But it didn’t take long for Shin to view them negatively. They meant well, but they’ve always been a bit set in there ways. They were almost simplistic in a way. And they also had a nasty habit of lying. As a child he dared not say anything, and simply walked off with a sad look on his face. Even now, he simply scoffs, or constricts them when he’s in a particular bad mood. (SA: No comment on those two… ) But even his relationship with his parents happens to be a bit strained, all is not lost within his family. At the age of seven another life came into the family, Shin little brother Kon.

From a young age Shin felt a certain bond with the child, that only grew over time. There always seemed to be something special about him, a certain spark, other saw it too, Kon’s always been very likable boy. Through the years Kon also found his parents a bit… closed minded. Shin from an early age had always been an excellent student, possessing a sharp mind. And thus his parents always encouraged Kon to be like his brother, forcing him into Shin’s shadow. But Shin would have none of this.

Kon was smart enough, but he never seemed to live up to the expectations his parents hoped for. But Shin saw the boys own personal skill rather quickly. While Shin was tactical, and calculating, Kon was creative and artistic. As such they sort of balanced each other, teaching and simply enjoying each other company, often doing activities such as solving puzzles. The brothers found joy in each other, and were much happier for it. For a symbolic reason, even if Shin doesn’t believe in that sort of thing, they even shared a Paopu fruit, to show that they would always be apart of each others lives (SA: But not in a romantic way, I mean, how do girls come up with this sort of thing? It’s baffling honestly)

Years passed, life was rather uneventful, full of school and play, though more school for Shin. He would often read under a palm tree, enjoying a Paopu Fruit, looking on at the other Island, sometimes seeing a certain group there. Wakka, Tidus, Selphie, Kairi, Riku, and Sora. Though Kon thought there little set up looked really fun, Shin just said it wasn’t there place to intrude. (SA: Plus they kind of caught me as slackers)

But then that day arrived. The winds started to whip, the skies were clouded, and the world as Shin knew it was coming to an end, literally. Shin noticed this rather quickly and thought it was best to investigate. Before leaving he made sure to get his lucky charm bracer, and left the one he had been working on himself by Kon’s bed.

As Shin looked around him it seemed the whole world was falling apart, Shin even noticed a monstrous creature in the distance. But before he could react, little clawed creature started pawing at him. He kicked at the little thing, but to little avail, they were attracted to him, they wanted his heart badly it seemed. (SA: little buggers were quite annoying before, hardly a problem now at least) Shin thought he was doomed, that was until a patch of darkness emanated from the ground. Seeing this as his chance, without fear he ran for it, seeping into the shadow abyss.

As he drifted it didn’t take long for him to be approached. Some mighty heartless, no doubt formed from some very powerful person to be as he was. None the less he came offering power and a world of opportunities. Intrigued, though far from trusting, Shin agreed. Seeing this chance the “Thing” entered his body as his it drifted into the darkness. Naturally it want to Use Shin as a puppet to do it’s will (SA: Heh heh, what a foolish little worm that thing was..) He wanted take over his body, heart, and soul. But this heartless, mighty as it was, it was nothing like “The seeker of Darkness” and Shin’s heart and will was strong. An internal battle was waged, and through his power, and perhaps a little help from his charm, he came out of the darkness into the Dark Margin, darkness leaking off him, But Shin was Shin.

For sometime he remind on the shadowy plane, trying to figure out what had transpired. Shin has won the battle, so it that situation had been reversed. The heartless was trying to use it’s dark power to control Shin and wipe his courteousness from the body. In the end the heartless sense of self was wiped, leaving only the dark power. And Shin embraced it. After all, Darkness and Light were simply forces, in the end they themselves took no sides, just attracted certain types of people. In the end of the day, the greatest villain in the world can wield the light, and the greatest hero can use the dark, should the chance ever arise.
For a short tune he learned to cope with his “Gift” When out of the blue, he was dragged back, back home. Yes, just as soon as it went into the dark, it had seemed the Destiny Islands had return just as they were. Soon he was home again, along with the other, well most of them. Though he was aware both Sora and Riku were gone, he really didn’t think to much, he had many other things on his mind. While he had no issues embracing the darkness, he was afraid of what his brother may think of him.

He hid it for the longest time, uneasily paling around with his brother, disappearing for long periods of time, an a general worry on both parties, what was going on, and that he would be caught on either side. This kept on for sometime, until one day, a few heartless started to for, to powerful for Shin to control. Shin was forced to brandish his bow, and show his power to his younger brother, to protect him if nothing else. After the bothersome creature were dispatched, the two were forced to have a talk.

Kon actually, quite literally smacked Shin for not telling him sooner. Kon understood his brother right away, and wasn’t bothered one bit. Though he did warn him, those who become fully bathed in darkness or light become corrupt in one way or the other. So with a smirk, Shin agreed to be Kon’s darkness, if Kon would be his light, keeping things in balance, truly a yin-yang pare. But with that issue resolved there were other issues on his mind, namely the missing Islanders, Sora and Riku. It was strange enough for them not to be on there world, but further more it seemed they weren’t even brought back at all, as he was. Soon he decided to take up a journal of sorts.

But then the strangeness kept on. Soon the name, “Sora” the one he wrote down, was seeming alien to him. His very memory was getting foggy. He even questioned about him among town, and it seemed sure enough people were remembering him less and less, until no one seemed to know him at all. For month he traveled worlds, sharpened his skills, bonded with his brother, and questioned about Riku, and the odd events that seemed to go on. One odd thing he noticed was a few cloaked people at the Olympic Coliseum, but he simply made a note of it and gave it nearly another thought (SA: What, I should have? Hhmm interesting.. )

As months turned into a year, Shin was sadly a bit lacking in his research. But then things started to perk up. While he didn’t know him that much to start with, the memory of Sora, the person that he had fully forgotten had returned. And that was enough to motivate him. Odd happenings were accruing through the worlds, and Shin would get to the bottom of it. He would find the truth, this he was sure of.

In the weapon section. That, my dear sir, would have to count as an ability. And what do you mean add a handles strike?

Wielder of Darkness: Hrm. Opening portals is a given, for all characters. How strong is the resistance? For a weak ability, I wouldn't assume it to be all that much, but enough to make sure that his endurance against dark abilities is more than your average human. As for being able to command heartless, I know it falls under the same type of ability, but this might be too much for just a weak ability. I'd like you to take that part off.

Midnight Shots: When you say one large bolt, do you mean combining all three arrows into one?

To Nightfall: So he has no weapon while using this ability? I need more detail on the tremor, such as how far it goes, how violent it is, and such. Seven could be too much depending on how you gauge the power of each tremor.

Okay, let's get this moving.

Weapon: true, but it coincides with the wielder of darkness ability, I'll remove it from there, but if you have an issue with the ability itself, then it won't go away by just deleting it there.

Darkness: Edited, that fine, I can always add that, along with upping the resistance, and perhaps other things, maybe something like Riku's dark mode, or Sora' anti form, or Ansem or some crap like that later.

Midnight Shots: Yep that's the ideal, the more split, the weaker it is naturally, so if you can mange to hit with one shot your looking at a lot of damage, but if you miss, well you you might have been able to do SOME damage were you to split it.

Then the ability to make the blade hover would have to fit inside Darkness ability too. Though for a weak ability, it's starting to overload.

Nightfall: Hrm. Lower the number of tremors to five. And the last blow should deal moderate damage.

Okay, Okay I'll ditch that and add it when it''s upgraded, it's mostly there for easier defense an offense, since a dual bladed weapon is a bit hard to wield, but I can do without for a bit. And Edit, I figured there would be some road blocks, this ability stuff is about as foreign to me as a scratching post is to a dog x3
