"Traverse Town." A simple question. He had said I wouldn't need much rest- That was most likely true. Even so, rest is rest. "I'm going to lay down. Thank you for your help, sir. You're more than likely to stay here if you need it; there is food and drink in the kitchen if you are interested." There wasn't much else to say and so, with a nod of my head, I turned and headed into my room to lay on the bed. In all honesty, I wasn't entirely sure about this man; I'd have to trust him for the time being though. After all, he hadn't killed me yet.

--Several Hours Later--
Luther sat outside, atop the roof top, silently contemplating the town and his companion's whereabouts. Was she as good as lost now? Why was he so foolishly searching for this burdensome child, so much so that he would be willing to go along with a human for the sake of finding her. Astounded by his attachment to the elf, Luther waited for the human mortal to wake. He had lost the scent of the single eyed freak he had been chasing. The strange being never had much of a scent to begin with anyway.
Traverse Town really is a world perfect for a creature such as Luther. The sun never rises, and thus, he never had to worry about the deathly rays of the light. He glanced at the starless skies, a strange feeling crept about in the bottom of his stomach. For the first time since the days after his death at the hands of his daughter, Luther had never really been alone. Faye had always been there.
Frowning, Luther shook the heart wrenching thought from his mind and returned to the boy's lair to wake him up. Rudely, of course.
