Physical appearance
Nyxanne is a sight to behold. Everything about her seems powerful and unstoppable. The young woman is stout, about five foot five, and muscular. Nyx’s figure might remind many of female kick boxers, with strong arms and leg muscles. The woman is as formidable in an arm wrestling match as any other male. Nyx’s hair color is a deep crimson, with bits of copper strand here and there. Her hair flows past her shoulder, and sticks out in unusual spikes, no doubt a heritage passed down to her from her father. However, because Nyx could worry less about her hair, the young woman ties it back simply with a clip, leaving only her untamable bangs and two tuffs tied on each side. Her eyes are a crisp dark green, frightening to look into due to her all too confident stare.
Clothing/Accessories
As for her clothes, the fighter’s ensemble is tight yet allows easy and swift movements. Underneath, Nyxanne wears a full body rubber suit that stretches from toes to chest. However, the design of the armor is flexible and designed to appear like nothing more than a slip underneath her normal clothes. The top of the suit takes on the appearance of a tank top, leaving the right arm bare and the left covered by a jutting shoulder armor that’s stiff and hard to penetrate. The body armor itself is molded to fit Nyx and Nyx only like memory foam. It can’t absorb attacks, but it easily protects the woman from any fatal strike to important organs.
Above the armor, Nyx wears a beige sleeveless tank with half a collar. Pinned on her collar is her guild’s badge. Nyx’s torso is protected by two belts that crisscross. One is black and the other bares a similar design to the guild symbol. She wears dark grey boxer shorts, immediately followed by thigh length beige boots. On her right arm is a strange cloth like slip that acts as an arm guard.

Alignment
Neutral [My loyalty belongs to whoever has the most munny!]
Behavior
Nyxanne Nathans? Think a relentless boxer, assaulting her opponent with only the thought of winning in mind. Think an ambitious business tycoon, plotting on bankrupting her opponents. Think a storm, intent on beating the life out of its victims. Think a mother who’s not afraid of cutting off her child’s finger before kicking him out the door just to teach him a lesson.
That about sums up Nyxanne upon first getting to know her. Nyx, the only name you will ever be allowed to address her with, is an ambitious young woman intent on swallowing the world with her greed. Tenacious and [VERY] short tempered, Nyx is not a bit afraid of getting her hands dirty as long as the ends justifies the means. Loud, obnoxious, Nyx is a giant ball of fire, never out of energy and motivation. Highly goal oriented, most of her actions are done in the name of an incentive, hardly the altruistic kind. Any individual who crossed her path would admit that yes, Nyxanne is in fact very, very, very greedy. She would love nothing more than to swim in munny, possessions, and anything worth value to her.
At the same time, aside from her obvious materialistic streak, Nyx is charismatic and friendly to those on her good side. She loves good rowdy fun, but at the same time, Nyx considers herself woman of elegance. A fierce…elegance, one might describe it. Something that might only belong to the young woman. A feminist? Well, Nyx certainly is not a misogynist, if that’s any comfort. Let’s just say that she has nothing better to do with weak-willed females.
For those under her care—like her faction’s men and women—Nyx is like the boot camp trainer you love and hate. Love her for her sense of fun and sometimes mother-like doting and care, hate her for gruesome brutality on matters of failure and business. When it comes to business, well for Nyx, training your people to become the best of the best comes before anything else. Above all else, failure is never an option.
All in all, there’s only one side you would like to be on with this woman. The good side. Gray area not included in the making.

Malice
Malice is a gauntlet Nyx wears on her right hand. It’s quite colorful, similar to the appearance of a gummi ship with different colored plating. The weapon is highly durable and thick, with sharp ridges to give cuts as well as broken bones.
That Big One Over There
A giant gun that Nyx can seemingly materialize out of thin air. It’s far taller than the woman and resembles a high tech canon found on tanks more than a gun actually. It shoots blue energy balls that can blast a hole about the size of a giant meteor. However, it only holds two bullets per thread and its accuracy is horrible. Nyx usually uses it to kill large masses of heartless or blast a mountain into pieces. She cannot move from place to place when carrying the gun, but waving that thing around sure can take out a bunch of people at once.
Steel Toed Boots
Yeah, they hurt when she kicks.

Avarice
Avarice, the greed for power, is a strength and defense buff that guarantees impressive stunts usually unavailable to the woman body. Once Avarice is activated, Nyx’s muscles enlarge and expand, giving her an intimidating appearance on top of super strength. Stronger than any normal human, Nyx has the ability to pick up a car and toss it at the opponent without breaking a sweat. Not to mention she can knock down buildings [think Radiant Garden houses] with ease and lift things five times her size and weight [she’s kinda small to begin with]. Fighting an opponent like her would prove difficult. However, to compensate for the mass in pour of energy into her power aspects, Nyx’s speed is cut sharply, thus making her slow footed. Through long term exposure and increased training, Nyx had become accustomed to the cut, and managed to learn to keep her strength output at a strong level and still be able to balance out her stats slightly, enough to not expose too much of her weakness too quickly.
Strength:
Strong [6AP]
Uses:
Passive ability that activates immediately upon entering battle.
Bull in the China Shop
An ability that derives from Avarice, it’s clear what the usage of the ability is for. Taking the strength energy in Avarice, Nyx can gather its power and shove it all into one attack. When activating the ability, the user glows a pale blue before unleashing a titanic energy force on the enemies and objects in front of her. The force can crumple and break anything in its path—glass, wood, buildings, shields, and knock out small objects. It moves in a straight line however, and cannot home in on opponents. The size of the force is a semi-circle with an eight foot radius. It’s avoidable if one moves left or right of it, but taking to the air might not be such a smart idea for the force is far taller than wide. Aside from the blast of the force, the opponent would be pattered with whatever objects destroyed by the force, debris assaulting in all directions. If caught by the blue energy, it would have had the same feel as being punched by Nyx while using Avarice. Capable of shattering bones if the opponent is scrawny enough and knocks any opponent six or seven foot back with the same numbing sensation of being punched in the face. Avarice falters slightly for two posts before coming back in full swing, downgrading to a moderate level ability in the as soon as Nyx uses this ability.

Her Story
Our heroine’s tale begins ten years before her birth, way before the woman she is today. We will begin our story with Cooper Nathans of Saila…
Cooper Nathans was born in the world of Killan, deep in its dry cruel desert. He was a gregarious young man with striking copper hair and unusually pale skin that never tans. He could be everywhere at once, and annoy or entertain mass amounts of people with just himself. As soon as he grew bored of the monotonous sand and sun, he left his little home town to explore the rest of Killan, which consists of many different provinces. As any young man, he was interested in serving the army, especially since his country was in a dire situation, having just started a civil war between its provinces. However, Cooper was much too weak. He was not strong, nor did he know much magic, and he was a dunce with technology. Nevertheless, he was determined. And soon, he discovered his biggest asset. He was fast. He could outrun a buggy, a tank, anything that can run, and he could keep a secret. Nothing, nothing will ever make the man speak.
Thus, he gathered up a team of his friends—Nyx and Jet Leiym—and the three formed a formidable team. With Cooper, the quick footed, Nyx, the powerful, and Jet, the intelligent. Guerilla warfare was popular in the desert, where the groups could strike quick and retreat even quicker. Cooper and his unstoppable team lent their service to different groups, free lance mercenaries with no root and no alliance. All they want was money.
Soon, the three settled temporarily in a small camp in dire need of strong firearm. And it was on that day in the camp, Cooper fell in love. He had always been a cajoler, but when he set his eyes on Garnet, he knew it was the real deal. Garnet Morrain was cool and nonchalant and her heart remained icy and cruel despite the heat of the Saila desert. She was a sniper and her accuracy and detachment made her a valuable marksman for the army. Despite Cooper’s efforts to charm his new partner, she remained victorious. No one had ever set a finger on the red haired woman, and no one ever will. Cooper, however, fueled by his obsessive love for the sniper, shone down on her with the power of one thousand suns. Slowly, she began to melt for him. Painstakingly slow but surely.
In order to win her over, Cooper rooted his little entourage in the camp. However, funds were running low for the small mercenary group, and Cooper’s partners were eager to move on, which Cooper was reluctant to do. As good friends as they were, Cooper was in the end, a selfish man, especially in the field of love. After a heated argument, the group disbanded and Nyx and Jet prepared to leave.
The next day, Jet and Nyx’s bodies were found among the sand, not far from the camp, their carnage riddled with bullets and rotting in the southern sun. Rumors immediately spread in the camp, gripping its demented fingers on each and every soldier. Talks about how the three mercenaries were actually spies due to Cooper’s suspiciously light skin color reached the Camp Leader’s ears. Grief stricken, Cooper was immediately apprehended the very same day for traitorous act. If the copper head had not been on the good side of the leader’s , his head would have been on a platter in a matter of seconds. But the Leader spared him and exiled Cooper to the farthest end of the desert, where hopefully, he would die of exposure. They knocked him out so there would be no retaliation and Garnet could only watch silently as the copper head was loaded onto a sand buggy.
The group didn’t get far when suddenly, the sun disappeared.
When Cooper came to, he was lying on the roof in Traverse Town, disoriented and bruised. The rest of his story would be best saved for another time, for his adventures was plenty and highly entertaining. His single goal however, was to find his Ice Princess…
”So you found mama?” Raising her head, Nyxanne Nathans stared precariously at the thin man with a head full of copper hair and green eyes. She sneaked a little peek at the woman sitting next to them, who was smiling lightly at a bundle in her arms, as if trying to determine if she was the Ice Princess.
”Yes, of course! You have any reason to doubt your father?” Cooper Nathans chuckled, running a finger through Nyx’s deep red locks. Nyx frowned, then shrugged her little shoulders.
”Iunno, mama says sometimes pap’s pretty unuseful.”
”Useless, darling. I said your father can be pretty useless sometimes.” Garnet Nathans said, giving Cooper a sly smile. The man cringed. The bundle in Garnet’s arm cooed and giggled.
”Can I grow up and be like pap someday? Be a great mercenary?” Nyx jumped and wrapped her short stubby arms around her father’s neck, swinging like a monkey. ”Me and Jet, we can be just like the Nyx and Jet in the story!”
”Well…” Cooper mumbled, remembering Nyx’s temper and Jet’s tantrums. ”Try not to be exactly like them…”
”Well, I’ll be as powerful as Nyx! Really!” Dropping down onto her father’s lap, Nyx punched her poor father on the arm to emphasize her point. ”And Jet can be just as smart!” Running over to her mother, she looked down at the bubbling baby in her mother’s arm. The child giggled and poked Jet’s nose.
”Heh…maybe…” Cooper whispered, smiling at his family.
And little Nyxanne Nathan’s wish came true. It was as if the two siblings were complete incarnates of Cooper’s dearest friends. Nyx’s father watched his little girl turn into a muscular fighter, outmatching her dad in combat and temper. All the while, Nyx’s younger brother, Jet, matured [maybe a bit too much] into an intelligent young man, a bit on the moody and morbid side too. The two became a team, much like their father’s group in the old days, and with a gummi ship, they traveled from world to world, looking for adventure and excitement like any young ones should.
Of course, they couldn’t just be running from place to place with no goal in mind! Nyx was one of destination, objective, aim! She wasn’t about to just waste her time grabbing odd jobs here and there. What were the two’s goal? Well, their father had always talked about the beauty of his home world, spoke and savored it like it was a small piece of paradise, and he had always looked so nostalgic and melancholic about it…
Nyx might have been self-centered, but she valued her family. Obsessively value them like her gold and jewelry. Thus, Jet and Nyx set about searching for Killan, the world that their father had given up looking for. They were young, and they had information, material, and technology their dad did not have twenty years ago.
One day, they found Killan, the world floated, snug in its little corner of space, oblivious to its previous endeavors. Thirty years had brought about a whole lot of change to the place. Far more advance in technology, the world was a division between its old tradition and new ideas. The siblings were fascinated. It was a small piece of paradise, or so they thought.
The entire Nathans family relocated back to Killan, thanks to Nyx and Jet, who soon settled into their new lives…but before long, something rather unfortunate happened…
Cough, cough…
“Don’t tell me you caught it too, Nyxanne.”
“Nyx, dumbass, get it right. And no. Is it a crime to cough, Edgar?”
“It is now.”
Nyx followed bitterly after the white cloaked man, edgy and unhappy. They passed a myriad of colorful wires, a skeletal metal man, a detached robotic hand covered in synthetic skin…
“I’m sorry about your brother, Nyx…Everyone has to go sometime…his time just came sooner.” Edgar, who was your average scientist, turned, glancing at the short woman with the explosive temperament.
“Shut up and keep moving, Edgar. I don’t need your sympathy. And it wasn’t his time, dipshit. It wasn’t.” The woman snarled back. She was highly tempted to kick the scrawny man in the rear. It might not have been Jet’s time, but Edgar’s clock was slowly clicking to a stop if he doesn’t shut up and keep walking. As if the scientist had heard the gruff woman’s words, he picked up his pace and hurried down the dank metallic corridor.
“Here it is!” Edgar breathed a sigh of relief as they entered a small room, pointing at the strange looking contraption before him. It held a tiny window, a door, and looked like an enlarged home built washing-machine.
“It’s ugly.”
Edgar gaped at the woman, trying to fully comprehend her words. Nyx shoved past her oily acquaintance and studied the thing.
“It’s not about its aesthetic appeal, Nyxanne! It’s about what this child can do! This here, Nyx, is your answer! To all men kind’s answer! We can solve heart break, death. We will bring back the dead…”
“Have you tried it yet, Edgar?” Nyx pulled on the handle, which wobbled precariously in her hand.
“Careful, careful!” Edgar shoved the young woman aside and eased the door from its spot, revealing a rather packed inner core with an overload of buttons and chair. “Umm…not quite…today will be its maiden voyage.”
Nyx glared at him. Edgar could do nothing but twiddle his thumb under her dark green gaze. “You do want him back, don’t you…?” He asked softly. Nyxanne Nathans sighed, and gestured at the seat inside. “Mothers first.”
As soon as Edgar entered, Nyx followed after. They were going to get Jet back…
Thirty three years earlier…
“YOU MUST BE KIDDING ME!!” An infuriated roar clamored through the southern market. Everyone stopped to glance at a red head clutching a newspaper and a cowering young man with thick glasses and twitchy movements.
“Thirty three years, Edgar…” Grabbing the man, she pulled him into an alley to avoid further attention. “Thirty three years…do you know how old my pap is right now?” Nyx snarled into his face as she shoved him into a wall. The man’s glasses slipped from his sweating face and he whimpered. He would rather face the fury of a rabid bear. Brain scrambling, he tried to calculate out Cooper Nathans’ age.
“T-twenty…three…?”
“YES, DIPSHIT!” Nyx bellowed. “TWENTY THREE! What does that mean, Edgar? What do you think?”
“Y-you’re b-brother’s not born…yet…”
“Pap probably hasn’t even had the chance to screw my MA yet!” Slapping him with the newspaper, Nyx kneed him where the sun doesn’t shine before stomping to the opposite side of the alley and planted herself on the sandy ground.
Edgar moaned and whined on the ground.
Several hours past before both spoke up again.
“I’m sorry Nyx…it was her maiden voyage…”
“You should be sorry that you’re such a fuck-wit.”
“I truly am sorry…”
Nyx hid her face, scrunched up in position of defeat.
“Look, we can redo this! Let’s head back to the machine right now, we’ll fast forward a few years and…”
“Shut up, Edgar. What the hell am I doing? You can’t bring someone back from the dead…it’s stupid.”
Edgar crawled cautiously towards his friend and sat opposite to her, looking concerned. Before he could speak up though, something strange caught his sight. “Nyx…look at that…what is that?” Edgar pointed at the shadows. A pair of yellow eyes stared intently at the two. Looking up, Nyx glanced at it, a bizarre buzz running down her spine. Whatever it was, she didn’t like it.
And then there was more…
“Edgar, run.” There was no answer. Turning around, Nyx saw nothing but shadows and yellow eyes.
“Edgar?” Getting up, the woman felt fear for the first time in her life…undeniable, untamable fear. She ran for her life, back to where they had left the traveling machine. It was still there, but she could not work it without Edgar. The ground crumbled away beneath her feet and she fell.
When Nyx woke, she was in rather familiar spot. Her birthplace, Twilight Town. Yet she was unfamiliar. The woman was stuck in the past, unable to save her brother, and her only means of escape was gone. Her dad was younger than her, and there was no technology, not the kind Nyx was familiar with. Everything was so…antique-like. But the woman could do nothing but cope. And the only thing that she found would satisfy her was her greed.
And so, once again, with a mind full of resolve, Nyx left Twilight Town, out to fill up that empty spot in her heart with all the munny of the world…
