^{in a word, antony is cowardly. she’s a very shy, very unsure, very cowardly lion. whereas in many stories lions have been portrayed as brave individuals, prideful and often a omen of hope, antony would be the exact opposite of it. she’s terrified of just about anything, heights, creatures larger than her, loud noises, the dark, you name it, she’ll probably be afraid of it. however, in times of desperation, she is able to show the true colors of a lion and – should her life depend on it – defeat her fears for a short amount of time (at least until the next obstacle appears). often called a useless lion by the others of the pride lands, antony desperately wishes to be accepted by her companions, and will occasionally try to fabricate stunts to make the others seem like she was brave for a moment – usually failing of course.}

any lion can roar, it’s the biggest pride a lion has. with the ability to roar loud enough to be heard for miles it is invaluable that their vocal chords stay in tip top condition. this is more an ability to cause fear and unease, a bluff if you will. based on whether a person is already fearful of antony, and/or how easily antony would be capable of scaring the enemy. she will turn and unleash her best roar – which, since she’s almost fully grown, is quite impressive – and, depending on the person’s own courage they will either stop their chasing or attack and allow enough time for antony to turn tail and flee. it can be used once in a single post, needs five posts to recharge, and can only be used four times in combat.

very similar to fearful roar, but just a few steps ahead and slight modifications. this is a knockback sort of technique that depends on the balance of the opponent (think of simba’s proud roar when used with sora). antony will set her feet squarely on the ground, she will start with a snarl of warning and then unleash an impressively powerful roar, the force of her vocal chords creating slight rippling sound wave effects. the ability hopes to push the opponent over and stall their movements. it can be used once in a post, takes ten posts to recharge, but can only be used twice within battle.

HISTORY

<sup>born and raised in the pride lands antony has known nothing of the worlds beyond africa. as a barbary lion she lives separate from simba’s pride in an area just beyond the pride lands, slightly past the jungle. the land is known as malady’s cliff, where her grandfather malady rules over the pride. it is not a very large gathering of lions, there’s only a handful of babaries left in the wild. ten lions make up the whole pride, eleven including herself. she was raised mostly by her grandfather, her dad having left the pride with her mother after she was weaned and able to hunt on her own. they left to create their own pride with three other females.

malady’s pride has coexisted with the jungle, and its ruler for a rather long while, panja, a mysterious white lion, and malady have a grudge between them however. a battle that has existed for a long while. panja doesn’t have his own pride, he does have a son and a mate, though he has taken it upon himself to protect the entire jungle. he includes malady’s cliff into the jungle as well. this often causes animosity between the two royal males as malady despises being lumped under a self proclaimed emperor, the two have fought on some occasions. their feuding is mild now only because leo and antony have befriended each other.

having been born around the same time leo and antony had chanced a meeting randomly while wandering their territories. leo’s being larger – and somehow including her home – they had run into each other. fearful of the male, antony had become defensive and attacked him claiming to be protecting her land from rouge lions. when leo expressed that he was not there to take malady’s cliff antony decided he could be trusted and their friendship them blossomed.

but malady soon fell sick, and amji was given the pride, her uncle (amji) kept the pride safe and continued the feud between panja and malady, taking kingship upon himself. panja and malady both soon passed away, leaving amji as permanent king. leo vanished for a long while, and antony would often wonder to herself where he had gone.

soon though, heartless began appearing, strange birds and shaman creatures that would attack like hyenas, without provocation. and recently, was the cost of leo’s life. antony and leo had been wandering through panja’s jungle when they’d come across a blue bird with yellow eyes, its beak and claws inky black in coloration, seeping a strange dark mist. they approached to see if they could help it, but the bird attacked leo, and stole his heart. the white lion cub fell to the ground, and antony rushed to him, as he vanished into nothing she fearfully ran back to malady’s cliff only to find it swarming with the strange beasts.

it was then that she started her journey to pride rock, seeking safety from the heartless.</sup>
