Faye looked alarmed by his body cracking and popping like it was, but otherwise she looked as if she slept like that every night. The dark circles were gone, her eyes were bright and her face expressive. She leaned toward him to touch his shoulder after it sounded like he cracked in half, as if making sure it really hadn't and he was still in one piece. Did he fight the night elves last night to save her? The poor girl didn't understand how human stiffness worked from sleeping in a chair. She looked him over...no wounds. Her alarmed expression turned bewildered. Faye tilted her head and looked up at him, but decided he was fine so she could answer his question.
"I slept fine," Faye smiled sweetly, giggling. "Thank you for watching over me. You're the best! I feel so much better!" the elf continued, swinging her legs off the side of the bed to turn and face him more directly. "How about you? Did you get enough sleep?" He looked tired to her, and honestly that made her worry. Maybe she was too much of a burden..
And all the while, thoughts of Luther tugged at the back of her mind. She'd investigate soon to see where he was.
After a moment, Faye reached out and plucked his glasses from them, looking them over with a curious facial expression before placing them on her own nose, squinting to try and see through them. "Gah!" Ah...to have the attention span of a squirrel...

“I’ll live,” Lucien laughed, patting himself on the back. “I use to go days without sleeping and just working. But I did it more when I was younger. I need my beauty sleep now.”
Before he knew it, Faye had snatched the glasses from his face, putting it on and playing with it. Lucien raised an eyebrow. It was like dealing with a child. Stretching some more, the scientist crinkled his brow and went around putting out the candles that hadn’t burned itself out overnight. His house keeper should be around by now. Hopefully she hadn’t decided to barge in on his clone upstairs. Now that would be a shock. How was he going to explain this phenomenon to her? Long lost twin?
Just as he thought that, a loud cry came from overhead followed by a scream of a woman.
Startled, Lucien looked at the ceiling before he sprang to the door. Mrs. Calloway must have found Luther. But this was more of a reaction than he had expected.
“Mrs. Calloway!” Lucien called as he ran up the stairs. He found the poor chubby woman cowered against the stair railings, paying no heed except to stare at the looming shadow in the door-way she had stumbled out of, mumbling prayers like a mad woman.
“Lord have mercy!” she wailed, clutching the golden cross around her neck. From within the room, Luther’s figure stumbled out. One eye squeezed shut—there seemed to be a burn mark—the Vampire was bleeding profusely from a wound on his abdomen. It might have been the old wound he had received when he first met the elf. It seemed to have burst open from his activity the night before. Whatever had caused it, it was clear that Luther was getting the worst of it. His features were twisted in pain. Amber eyes fixed themselves on the poor house keeper with hunger, and lips pulled back in a snarl. At the sight of pearly white FANGS the house keeper fainted.
He would have pounced on her and sink those teeth in her if not for the fact that something else seemed to have tugged on his animalistic instincts.
Lucien stumbled back slightly Luther turned towards him. He would have turned to run but the other’s speed gave him no time to respond.
Luther’s heavy frame slammed into Lucien’s own, and the two tumbled down the staircase, past Faye. As they landed on the bottom step, splayed out across the stairs in the most uncomfortable position, Lucien found himself too dazed to understand just what was happening. Until he saw those fangs and the look in Luther’s face. His own look.
“No…NOOOO!” Lucien’s wail was cut short as Luther’s teeth sunk into his neck. [/blockquote]

"...BAD LUTHER!" Faye screamed, the words comical but her tone serious and alarmed, obviously not pleased and rather angry, actually. She was upon him in a flash, the speed and strength of a night elf seemingly appearing from deep within. "He is not food! He was good to me!" she growled. She was concerned about his pain and the blood, but anger overshadowed for the moment. It was a confusing feeling. Her hands flew to Luther's jaw, forcing it open so as she ripped his face away from Lucien's neck, it would do as minimal damage to the human as possible. Hopefully he hadn't had time to drink much.
Shoving him against a wall, she quickly pinned him there in case he went for Lucien again. "Lucien, run and take care of your neck!" she yelled, slipping her hand behind Luther's head and pulling his mouth to her already exposed neck. Her blood was better and stronger anyway. He'd need less of it. "What happened to you, Luther?" she muttered softly, her hands feeling his wound now, as if trying to plug it until she could locate some bandages. Her nose wrinkled. He smelled funny. Luther went out! Maybe to find...her... the little elf gasped in horror and fear for Luther's "life". He'd gone without her! That wasn't nice or smart...
Her mind jumped again, once more to Lucien. She hoped he was okay? She hadn't had time to truly check and make sure his neck was okay...but Luther wouldn't be able to drink from her long so she could check soon. This wouldn't have happened if Luther hadn't just gone looking for trouble...
((Sorry so short...I coulda made it better but mom was putting the squeeze on me. If you don't reply by the time i have time..I may edit. BUt it can be replied to like this))

Lucien’s consciousness wavered the minute those teeth plunged into the pale flesh of his neck. The squirming lasted several seconds as he flailed and pushed and groaned in pain. He heard Faye, and he feared this demon of his would turn on her next. And he feared for his own life, too of course. Consumed by himself. It was possibly the most ironic and horrific thing that had ever happened to him.
Suddenly, his own overbearing figure was gone, the pressure on his chest and body lifted. Consciousness and rational thought slammed back into him like a violent backlash and he gasped for breath, realizing that he had been holding it. The pumping in his heart resumed and the blood poured from his wound as he grabbed at it, trying to stem the flow. If not for Faye’s panicked shouts, Lucien would have laid on the spot until help comes. Instead he pushed himself up, his visage a pasty white, except for the powerful splash of red on his neck. He stumbled into the parlor.
In the meanwhile, Luther knew better than to drink from Faye. What little civilized thought left in him at the moment knew what was going to happen if he took a sip.
Nevertheless, the agony and nausea spurred him on. And he bit into her neck, surprisingly gentle for his current demeanor. The thick concentration of bliss reached his tongue, and he drank. Several seconds later he was out cold in her arms, a man who had too much to drink..
Something clicked behind the two. Lucien’s heavy breathing could be heard and if Faye turned around, she would have seen that the frazzled man had a shotgun in his slippery, bloody fingers, the muzzle pointed straight at his counterpart.
“Let go of him…” Lucien muttered, even as blood dribbled from the bite wound on his neck.
"I'm going to kill this monster...let go of him." [/blockquote]

The little elf winced as she felt warm, already bloody teeth sink into her flesh, though not quite as roughly as anticipated. Breathing out, she kept still until Luther had finished his meal and fell limp in her arms. How she could smile at a time like this defied logic, but Faye had never been known for logic. Luther should be okay. All she had to worry about was the wound..the wound that had left her borrowed nightgown stained. It wasn't hers to rip up to use for bandages, but she would anyway. Before she could, though, she heard the breathing and clicking sound behind her.
Turning her head slowly to the side, enough for one eye to jump to the outer corner of the socket, she looked at the bloody Lucien, who had not taken care of his neck as instructed. Instead he was pointing some sort of long, thin object at her, the openings of the barrels in her face. This couldn't be good. What kind of magic did this strange looking staff wield? Apparently some kind that would kill Luther..
"Then you'll have to kill me, too, Lucien..." Faye breathed resignedly. Her face was ragged, but her eyes had a fiery determination in them though they were a bit watery. She would not be moved. If Luther was snuffed out by whatever death-dealing force this contraption had, then so would she. She clutched her sleeping vampire closer, her hand behind his neck, the other on his wound as if plugging it. "I would rather you take care of your neck, though..instead of ending our lives with whatever magic that thing has. This is my fault. I should've been with him instead of sleeping. I'm the real monster here, so kill me, not him." Faye then closed her eyes, waiting for it.
