The Awakening of a Monster

Deep in the realm of darkness, there are beings that are older, darker and much more powerful than any heartless or nobody seen in recent history. These beings even pre-date the fabled keyblade war. Because of the stirring of the darkness in recent years, one of these ancient beings has awakened. This beast is only known as Sin. As powerful as Sin is, it lost its physical form long ago and is now only a powerful spirit of darkness. It cannot enter the world of light without a body, but Sin has found a way to enter the world of light. By absorbing Nobodies that it has come across, Sin was able to make a body for itself, a shell, so that it would not dissipate in the light. It has now crossed over to the realm of light spreading its darkness over many worlds.

Legend tells of only one way to defeat sin, and that is through the use of the Ancients. The Ancients are a group of eight God-like beings of Light Darkness and Twilight. They can be called forth by great heroes, but only heroes who pass their test. It is said that in order for an Ancient to come into this world, they must bind themselves to a person who they find worthy. Once bound, they cannot be unbound until the person dies. It is unknown how they can be used to defeat Sin, only that someone of strong heart will unite them. So how will this play out? Will Sin cover all the worlds in Darkness, or will the Ancients be called forth and defeat Sin? Only time will tell.

On a side note, Sin is still a heartless. It is just a really old and powerful pureblood heartless. Think of it as something like the darkside from the first kh game just more powerful.


Ok the Plot for this will be simple, more or less. Sin has awakened and has started to terrorize and destroy worlds. The only way to defeat him is for the Ancients, 8 summons, to be called forth. Each of the adventurers will get an ancient to summon, though I’m not sure if we'll be aloud to use hem for actual combat. That will be up to the QMs.

A major part of the plot will be each of the adventures going to find the ancients as a group. The characters will be split into two groups. 4 people in one group, 4 in the other. The two groups will rp in separate threads and will meet up latter on in the story, but when they do also is up the QMs.

This story will take place as a series quests. The first set of quests will be the two groups meeting up and finding out what they need to do to defeat sin, weather that be finding the prophecy in a tomb of hearing from Merlin or something. The next couple sets will be the groups finding their ancients and passing their tests. So this will equal up to five sets of parallel quest. The last quest will be when the groups meet up, unite and defeat sin.

Angelus' character is going to be the villain working backstage. What he does is up to Angelus but he does play a big part in the plot since he's the one who is manipulating Sin like Ansem manipulated Malevolent. Besides this though I have no idea how Angelus is going to play this. I'm also going to allow Angelus' character to rp in both groups threads so that he can be more manipulative. No one from the two groups will be able to do this though. They have to stick within their groups thread unless one of the QMs decide the character is moved in order to add to the plot or something.

Also, you guys will have to decide amongst yourselves who’s in what group.

Whelp, I think I've given all of the ideas I thought of...except I figure I should say that Xemnas signs up for this plot, because it threatens his control of the universe, and his Nobodies. He can't let Heartless kill his Nobodies, no matter who they think they are.

That’s actually an interesting twist. "The enemy of my enemy is my fiend"....sort of. But that would actually be interesting to rp.

I also thought of what the quests would be for. Synthesis Materials. Using the materials they would create a sort of ultimate weapon, or a temporary super-keyblade that you would need to stab into its heart. That or the materials could just be used to combine with Sin itself to destroy its body from the inside out.

We could also go with the whole summoner thing as well but I have no real clue how that would work on here.

i would most likely go and hep defeat sin because Fox doesn't want the world desory by that thing. so im done if it gets accepted.

My canon Ryu would most definitely be interested. As he is a 'good' character, I'd say preventing this kinda thing would fall under that category. Not to mention I'd get good experience RPing with him, and you all.

Final Fantasy X, eh? Well, it IS my second favorite in the series.

If there's still room, I'd love to sign Adelle up. I'm sure she would expect Luso to be combating this almost-Sin and enter on those grounds. Plus it looks like the team could use a gal.

EDIT: Right, I should probably help with details than, eh?

So as far as the "Summoning" path goes, we could maybe split the plot into each character in the journey having to face some sort of trial and getting their own personal summon (all of the people would help in each...er, dungeon or whatnot, but the "boss" of the dungeon would be fought one-on-one). The threads in question could be used to get a RP Discount on buying those Summons, or we could just use Minions so we don't each have to shell out 1500 Munny. And all our Minions could combine in the last thread to turn into some crazy one-thread-only Summon to help us strike down Sin?

Also this would probably work best as a bunch of Quests so we actually have a QM to play the enemies. And add to our final rewards.

Thats a pretty good Idea jun, and I'd say we use it if its ok with everyone else, but I'm not sure if everyone can afford summons even with a discount.(I can't even afford minions I'm so poor T_T) but ya if its ok with everyone else i say the summons and quest series thing would be a great idea.

On a side note: If you can find someone to play yuna then i have no problem using her in the rp. she can be the one to combine everyones summons at the end

Anyway ya anyone who wants to be a part of this jsut tell me what character your using and i'll make a list a t the top. Alos since we have two QMs in the thread you guys can decided if you want to co-opperate together or just let one of you guys run the show, its your two's call. besided that if anyone had any more details that they would like to add to the plot just tell me them when you add your character.
