The Underworld, a place of desolation and darkness. These were Akira's first thoughts as she stepped into the world. This would be her first time venturing to this barren place, but she doubted it would be her last. Something about it drew her in, something she couldn't quite put her finger on.
"This place shouldn't draw me in like it does," she thought to herself. "I shouldn't be drawn to the darkness..."

Iatros walked through the barren and rocky ways of the Underworld, looking around with a solemn curiosity at what was around him. In truth he didn't want to be here. He never liked being close to death. The only reason he was here was to find out where his teaches was, or some clues to his location, or at least to find out if he was still alive. As he walked threw the underworld He spotted a young woman not to far away.
'Looks like I'm not the only one searching around this place.'
He made his way over to the girl casually, but cautiously as well. He wasn't sure if she was friend or foe yet. He stopped when he was about five feet behind her and said "Hey there Miss. Are you lost." he said with a cheerful smile on his face.

Her ears picked up the sound of footsteps near her, signaling that she was not alone. She turned her head slightly to see someone who was quite nearly a foot taller than her, which to some would be intimidating, but not to her. He also seemed oddly smiley for someone who was venturing into the Underworld. The place reeked of havoc and all sorts of nastiness. Why would one be smiling?
Then he asked if she was lost. She rolled her eyes. No, she was not lost; she was never lost. Her pride would not let her admit that sort of fact, even though currently she wasn't entirely sure of where she was going. She would instead deflect.
"No," she answered shortly, her tone crisp, "Why? Are you?"

Iatros chuckles at the tone she had. He figured she was probably lost and was too prideful to admit it. Well whatever, if she didn't want to admit it he wasn't going to try and help. It was one of the things his teacher, Daedalus, had taught him. 'You should always be able to admit your problems. If you don't, how will you or anyone else be able to help you.' The saying ran through his had. He missed his teacher, but hopeful he would find him from this little venture.
'Well….’ he thought 'While I'm here I may as well call her bluff.'
Iatros smiled sheepishly at the young woman and said "Ya, a little acctually." He then casually looked around, giving the impression he was looking for something as he said "See, I'm acctually looking for someone, a Guy." he stopped his looking around and turned back to her. "His name’s Hades. Ever heard of him." he asked the girl innocently.

Whoever this was, he apparently thought she was funny. Odd, since she never thought of herself as the humorous type. Her aunt often told her that she wasn't teaching her how to be funny, she was teaching her how to use a sword. Either way, she had a feeling she would be stuck with this guy until one of them found what they were looking for. She still wasn't sure what just yet.
She raised an eyebrow at his tone. It sounded a little too innocent. For now, she decided, she would play along. "Name sounds familiar," she told him. It was a bit of a lie there, since she had never met anyone named Hades before nor heard of anyone with the name. "I can help you find him if you wish. I need a name first though. I don't help strangers."

Iatros nodded to her. "Fair enough." he said. He held out his hand to her for a handshake. Looking at her now, she didn't seem like an enemy. He would show little trust to her, just enough to test the water." Oh and the reason he sounds familiar to you is cause he's the lord of this world." Iatros added, almost as an after-thought.

"Ahh... I suppose that would make sense," she replied. She took his offer for a handshake and shook it. He seemed like a reasonably trustworthy fellow at this point and the gesture was something she usually honored. Though, that didn't mean she had to trust him completely. "Shinomori by the way. You obviously know more about this world than I do. Any reason why you're here?"
Akira never liked to talk this much, and this would probably be the longest string of dialogue she would give to this fellow. That had nothing to do with trust. That had to do with the fact she did not like talking that much.

Iatros put his hands in his pockets as he looked around him. "I wouldn't say I know this world, I just know a bit about Hades." He turned back to her, a small smile on his face as he said "Orion, Iatros Orion. And the reason I'm here is for information on my teacher." a series of moans in the distance caught his attention, and he turned to their direction with a serious and calculating look on his face.
He continued to stare in that direction as he said "A word of advice. Be careful of Hades. He likes to make ....deals." After he was sure nothing was coming from the direction of the moans, he sighed and turned back to Shinomori. "So what are you down here for, Shinomori?"

"Ahh... I'll help you then." Akira did not want to press Iatros for more information, knowing her boundaries with acquaintances. If he was down here looking for his teacher, it probably wasn't a good thing. The world had an eerie feel to it and wasn't the type people typically would want to travel to. By some miracle that his teacher was here, it most likely wasn't by his own volition.
"I'll make sure to keep wary around him then..." Several moans sounded after these words, causing her to look where they were coming from. Curiosity beckoned for her to figure out where they were coming from. She chose to deny it and stayed put, simply gazing in the direction they were coming from until she saw nothing coming.
"I... don't know," she told him. It was the truth. In all honesty, she did not know why she was here. Something about this place attracted her and brought here, but she wasn't sure what. The world certainly wasn't appealing. Was something here? She wasn't sure.

Iatros raised an eye-brow at her answer. "You don't know?" he asked, his curiosity getting the better of him. "There must be some sort of reason?" After that he caught himself. He didn't want to pry when he knew he should. He shrugged his shoulders and said "Well, whatever, your reasons, or lack-there-of, are your own." The moans started up again. Man that was getting annoying. If whatever was making those sounds wasn't already dead, he'd probably beat them to death. He waited until they stopped again before saying "Thanks for the help. I'll probably need it. And if you find a reason for being down here, you have my help as well."
It would have been a brighter moment in this dark place, if the moans hadn't started up again. Iatros growled in frustration. "That’s it!" He the brought up his hand and pointed it in the direction of the moans. A blue light about the size of a melon shot out of his hand and into the distance. There was a flash of light and the moans stopped short. Iatros wore a satisfied grin as he said "That'll teach 'em." He then turned back to Shinomori and asked "So witch way from here?"

"Curiosity one could say." Akira supposed she could use that as her reason. It certainly sounded a lot better than 'I don't know', and she hated sounded absolutely clueless. She then remained silent, hearing the moans come up again. Were they moans of pain, anguish, or something else? Did they come from those still living or dead? This was the Underworld after all, so she wouldn't be surprised if she saw dead people. She couldn't be sure. In a place such as this, it was probably best to stay ignorantly blissful.
Before she could discern anything about them, Iatros sent a spell of some sort at them. Normally, she would not have been happy about that if she knew they were living people. However, one simply did not know here, and it bothered her. She dropped her gaze for a moment, then looking back up at Iatros.
"This way," she said, referring to another direction away from where the moans were coming from. Part of her just did not want to hear them anymore. The other part wandered why Iatros was asking her which way to go, but it was probably best not to ask. She started walking in the direction she pointed to, keeping her eyes alert for any possible movement. The katana on her back sat idly on her back, waiting to be used.

Iatros nodded and walked next to her, his hands in his pockets and his eyes drifting around looking at different things that called the underworld there home. Most of these were only rocks though, so he quickly found himself bored. "So..." he started" where do you come from? I seriously doubt you’re from here." he said trying to break the silence between them and his boredom with one move, two birds with one stone. “At a glance you seem like your from the Land of Dragons, but I don't think your from there. Radiant Gardens maybe?" he said trying to make a game out of question.

Akira quickly grew tired of being exceedingly vigilant; nothing moved because everything they walked past were rocks and more rocks. Her aunt always told her to never stop being vigilant, and she would usually listen. However, with the treachery her aunt committed, she almost didn't want to follow any of the woman's teachings. Unfortunately, she wouldn't be far without them.
"Correct," she said, slightly surprised that he got where she was from right off the bat. Though, Radiant Garden wasn't a small place, so that wasn't too much of a surprise she guessed. "And you?" She relaxed her gaze slightly, her hands at her sides as she walked.

Iatros gave a smile at being right at the first guess. " I'm from Radiant Garden as well, though I haven’t lived there since I was ten, and only recently went back there." He kicked a rock out of the way with his foot. "Hmm I wonder how for this place goes?" he wondered out loud. Out of all the worlds he had been to, this one was so far the most boring. He was almost tempted to start playing 'Eye-Spy', but he new that game wouldn't last long. How could you play Eye-Spy when everything around you was rocks.
It was then that something caught his interest. It was the sound of running water. It was coming from somewhere to their right. "You here that?" He asked Shinomori. He didn’t wait for a reply though as he started to head over to toward the direction of the sound. he then turned to her and said "Come On." He then turned and started to head in that direction.
After a minute of walking, he found the running water, and a part of him wished he didn't. The river before him was huge, over a hundred feet across. he could see the bank on the other side but darkness prevented him from looking any further. That wasn't what spooked him. It was the water, or more what was in the water. The river was filling with the souls of the dead, simply floating downstream. Their face locked in silent moans. Occasionally a soul or two would try to climb onto the bank, but they were too weak and the current pulled them back in.
Iatros new exactly what he had found "The River Styx." he said in an emotionless voice, a cold and slightly sad look across his face. It was the river most had to cross in order to get into the underworld, paying two gold coins to the boat man to give you a ride. There were other ways though to those who knew them, like how he teleported and how Shinomori....did whatever she did to get to this side of the river. But mostly, one had to get a boat ride to cross.

It was slight irony to Akira that they were both from Radiant Garden. Though, she wouldn't call it that Radiant, seeing as the Heartless were still there in quite a large quantity. That was the only good thing about this world so far; Heartless seemed to be nowhere in sight so far. It was quite uncanny how they hadn't met one monster or anything else.
She heard the sound of running water in the distance. Water usually was a good thing. That meant they might be getting somewhere in this forsaken land. She quickly started following Iatros to the sound, making sure she was ready to grab her sword. Water was a good gathering place for Heartless and who knew what else, so she had to be prepared.
She shouldn't have bothered.
The river was nothing like she had previously pictured. Rivers normally were not filled with dead souls floating downstream. Their faces were grotesque as she laid her eyes on them, almost pitying them. A shiver went down her spine as she heard Iatros's words, and she turned away from them quickly to look across the river in a small attempt to hide it. It was rather wide in diameter and there was a visible bank on the other side. They would have to cross somehow if they wanted to get anywhere...
She looked around, seeing a boat man not too far away, a rather creepy look in his eyes. She didn't particularly like having to cross this river of souls as she called it, but it would have to be done. She glanced at Iatros for a moment before walking over to the boat man and pulling out a couple of gold coins.
