Rain fell, striking Xaldin with a soft pitter patter as he strode confidently down the world's many streets, cloak billowing ever so slightly in an invisible wind.
Ten years and however many destroyed worlds later, the rain had never changed. Like them, the World that Never Was had its own habits, engrained through long practice. One of them was the constant tears from the sky.
The second was the collection of Nobodies.
Another had arrived. Not a mere dusk... a humanform. A true Nobody. Xaldin knew... he wasn't entirely sure how, but he did.
And he intended to find it.

Amiel came near Xaldin, and she smiled at him. "Hello I'm Amiel." Amiel said. Amiel didn't know what she could do be some good, but she is humanform true Nobody she wanted to get to know him very much. "Um hi have you been looking for me?" Amiel asked. Amiel looked at him with such a smile, but she can't know what he expects from her.
Amiel looked how she does look like she wanted to get to know everyone, and she looked at him she just didn't know how to act like a proper Nobody since the fact that she is different, and she doesn't know how much she would be acting like a proper Nobody from this Nobody.
All she knew that she wanted to get this nobody lessons over with, and she wants to be a proper nobody she is at the age of 19 since that's how old her real self is. All she wanted to know is how much she wanted to get this over with so she would start acting like a proper Nobody she wanted to be taught how to act like one since she doesn't know how to act like one.
Amiel only knows this world she is obvious to any other world there are she just wanted to know if Xaldin could teach her how to become a nobody as he is.

Xaldin blinked.
That had been unexpectedly easy. He wouldn't say *too* easy, but it was on the tip of his tongue, ready to be let out at a moment's notice. The water sluicing from the skies hadn't even had the time to properly soak through his uniform... on the other hand, this new Nobody had clearly been exposed to the elements for some time.
Not that it appeared to bother her. Hmmm.
In fact, if Xaldin were any judge of such things, she was adapting oddly well to what was supposed to be a rather traumatic experience. The paths of habit that the Heart made were never fully eroded for any Nobody, especially not a new Nobody. Either she had been a Nobody for some time and had gone unnoticed or...
"I am not certain," Xaldin admitted. Of what he *could* read of her was confused. If he were not almost absolutely sure that his senses were not lying, he would have assumed she still had her Heart. A fractured, jigsaw heart to be sure... but a heart nonetheless.
"What manner of Nobody are you?"

"I am confused what you talking about what manner of Nobody am I?" Amiel asked confusedly. Amiel doesn't know what he is talking about. Amiel is a girl nobody that doesn't know about anything she just looked at Xaldin confusedly she just don't know how to respond to that question. Amiel doesn't know to react at all she is fine in the rain although she can't get access to her abilities they are locked within her. She just doesn't know how much she just wanted to know how much she looking at him. She just didn't want to open up her feelings that she kept hidden inside of her she's weird for a nobody she actually acts like she has a heart, but she is indeed a Nobody just a different taste of Nobody she just shut down, and looked at him blankly. She just wanted to know how much she would she wanted to make sure that Xaldin would do what she wanted to do she shut down, and acted like a shy girl who won't want to talk at all she thought back to how she was created, and it traumatized her all over again. She wanted to know more than she already known she don't want to know anything she wanted to meet Roxas again when he was doing his missions, and he striked her as she wanted to be. She just looked at Xaldin, and she had a blank look in her face.

"No, I suppose you wouldn't know, would you?" Xaldin said, almost kindly. Except nothing he said was kind or anything close to that and it came out sharp instead - verging on the insulting. But there was also a certain... detachment in that observation. Altogether it was probably a tone of voice that shouldn't, couldn't exist.
Appropriate for a Nobody who shouldn't, couldn't exist themselves. The question was...
"What do you want, Amiel?" Xaldin asked, suddenly loud and looming. "Why is it that you are here?"

"I am here, and want is to get to know about my own existence the fact I am even created in the first place." Amiel said. Amiel looked at him, and she has her eyes opened wide. She looked at him that she is a person who wants to belong. "I want to belong somewhere to get to know myself." Amiel said. Amiel doesn't know anything about herself she just a person of who wants her fears to go away for now on she thought back when she was first created, and how scared she was.
She looked at him straight at him in the face, and she wanted to make sure that she wanted to by his side she didn't noticed the way he said it she took it as a compliment she just didn't mind anyone talking sharply to her.
Amiel talking sweetly to Xaldin she wanted to get to know him better. "Hey um I didn't quite caught your name at all." Amiel said.

Was it fear he saw in those open orbs? Or Nothing?
Not for the last time, Xaldin realized it was becoming harder and harder to relate to people. To read them. There were certain visual cues but they could change and he could not. He was a timeless loop seeking novelty but always falling short. That was what it meant to be a Nobody.
No. Had always fallen short. Past tense. He would change. Even without a heart.
"I am Xaldin." He continued to loom.
"We are... incomplete existences. We lack Heart. By the same measure, we are free from the tyranny of the Heart. You should not 'need' to belong. You have no needs save those that are immediate and physical - like eating and breathing. Forget the rest. Those are old habits that your Heart has imprinted upon you. They are useless and foolish."
"Forget them all. You already know yourself."

Amiel took those to what she had, and memorized them. "Yes Xaldin." Amiel said. Amiel just looked at him, and she wanted. "I memorized all you said of course, and I will keep them in me." Amiel said. Amiel wanted to make sure that nothing will happened she don't need anything she just looked at Xaldin. "Teach me more I want to learn." Amiel said.
She just wanted learn everything she could learn from Xaldin she wanted to make sure that nothing bad happens that she wanted to make sure that her "real" self won't be able to be around them they made a deal she doesn't come here, and she won't let anyone know that she knows her. She looked at him, and she wanted to do something more. She just wanted to get to know Xaldin more she doesn't have a place to go.
"I don't have any place to sleep the matter of fact." Amiel said. Amiel just figured a long time ago, and she wanted to do know where she is going to sleep tonight.

Xaldin's eyebrows rose ever so fractionally. While dusks and lesser nobodies were usually rather obedient, humanform nobodies tended to be more powerful but also more whimsical and individual. It was a consequence, one imagined, of having a strong Heart. And yet here was a Nobody who claimed to be... learning? Studying? Desirous of Nobody etiquette? (At this last point Xaldin very nearly did laugh)
Perhaps she had been an automaton in a previous life. He had heard of such things. Toys who had been granted life... and then had that life taken away. Perhaps it was not so strange.
"Worry not about your sleeping quarters," Xaldin muttered retreating a step. She had passed the first test - there should have been some reaction from a normal Heart from his rather obnoxiously obvious presence. It seemed that most of her 'Heart' activity was internal and dependent upon her perceptions. She did not think him a threat, and so therefore he simply wasn't.
He'd have to cure such lack of caution in the future, of course. As things that did not exist, the dangers were everywhere.
"Call them." He said crisply. He did not elaborate but she would no doubt feel it. All humanform Nobodies did. They had servants. Dusks.
"You have the power."

Amiel looked at him, and she closed her eyes she called upon her servants the Dusks, and the Dusks appeared before her Amiel opened her eyes, and saw them. "You mean those?" Amiel asked. Amiel looked at Xaldin for the longest time. Amiel is trying to make sure that nobody anyone else could hurt her. Amiel knows her true self, but she worries that she should mention it.
Regardless of warnings, the future doesn't scared me at all. Amiel thought. Amiel wanted someone to be there so that she wouldn't feel so alone that she hasn't done before. She looked at her servants, and she smiled at Xaldin. "It feels so good to have them here." Amiel said. Amiel just didn't know how long they would stay. "Can they talk to their master?" Amiel asked. She just called them, but she felt it lagging at her for sometime.

Surprisingly competent, Xaldin noted. Perhaps it is her nature that allows her to...?Idle thoughts aside, it was impressive. Xaldin himself had to search for those nobodies that were not under his direct command and verbally order them to do things. He had told her to will it but he certainly hadn't been expecting such results. "Very good," he told her. "And yes, I do mean those. They are dusks. Like us, they stand between the dark and the light. Unlike us, they have completely lost their hearts and with it, their sense of self." This was conjecture, of course. Mostly Vexen's, though Xemnas had implied that he largely agreed with the theory. He raised an eyebrow at her other commentary. It was surprisingly quaint. Again, he wondered what sort of a person she had been while truly alive. "You do not feel 'good'," he reminded her. It is a reflex memory. Ignore it." "And they do talk. Listen." At first, it was merely the rain. But beneath, almost too quiet to hear... My Liege.
My liege.
My liege.

"I must say, for someone who isn't in the Organization to have control over the Dusks, AND to keep their human form, is impressive." Roxas appeared out of one of the Organization's famous portals, and took his place next to Xaldin.
"If she wants to hold onto her emotions Xaldin, let her. You still do." Roxas walked toward Amiel, and turned to Xaldin.
"And have you forgotten that my emotions are real?" He looked at Amiel and smiled. While he didn't know her well enough to decide if he liked her or not, the fact that she chose to hold onto her emotions instead of casting them aside like Xemnas had done, had been enough to grant a smile in her direction by him.

Amiel looked at him she smiled at him, and she just looked at him, and she wondered if this the same guy she meet at the before she just wants to make sure that he isn't there to kill her. "Um sir?" Amiel asked quietly she didn't know to act around this new guy.
Amiel wanted to make sure that nothing goes wrong she wanted to make sure that she would wanted to make sure that nobody would be able to hurt her again she wanted to be how she is a girl of means of necessary she just looked at Roxas. Amiel doesn't know anything about Roxas or the Organization.
"What is the Organization?" Amiel asked shying she wanted to make sure that anyone isn't out to destroy her she hide behind Xaldin she doesn't know what to expect. She just wanted to make sure that she isn't there to be destroyed. She wanted to do what she always did before hide the fact she is there.

"They are echoes, Roxas." Xaldin said patiently. The Key was always a bit dense. Probably came from having an upbringing that involved very few sums and a lot of (as he vaguely understood it) fishing. Or something along those lines. "Your emotions are merely mirages, Thirteen. The others may humor you, but I shall not."
Heh.
"The Organization," Xaldin said, deciding that explanations were in order, "exists to turn Nobodies into... Somebodies." He held out an open hand.
"We seek-"
squeezed it shut
"Kingdom Hearts."

Roxas frowned. When would Xaldin get that Roxas wasn't faking emotion. That would be an argument for a later date. Roxas had to agree with Xaldin on one thing though. Just what the Organization was all about.
"He's right. Kingdom Hearts holds the key to Nobodies gaining their hearts. Unfortunately for me, I'm the only one with the power amongst the members of the Organization. So as much as I'd rather not get my heart back, I have to help them out." Because as selfish as he was when it came to staying separate from Sora, he wouldn't deny other Nobodies their hearts. Not as long as his continued existence was assured anyway.
"So Xaldin, should we test her power, see if she's worthy of working with us?"
