A larger than normal dark corridor opened up in the back alleyway, forming precisely in the corner. A large figure wearing the Organization cloak stepped out of it. He had oddly-spiked short hair, and a firm, angled face, with a square chin.
Lexaeus glanced around the alleyway, taking in the state of affairs in The World That Never Was. His upper lip curled. It appeared as if some fights had happened here. Sloppy. The Organization should never have let anyone reach this area.

"Man, what a pain. I can't believe Saix would send me out on an impossible mission like this."
The mission that the Melodious Nocturne was whining about was actually quite simple: locate Lexaeus, and deliver him some message, which Saix said he could read, "On pain of death." Yeah, like he was gonna look at it when he said something like that!
'Right, all I have to do is find a dead guy. Then again...all the other guys who died in Castle Oblivion are back...'
The number IX had wandered out of the castle, racking his brain for places the huge Nobody would be.
"If I was Lexaeus, where would I go if I'd died?"
He hadn't expected to just bump into a pillar. More precisely, a pillar wearing an Org. cloak. Huh. Looking up, he noted the face on the "pillar."
"Oh, hey Lexaeus... I was just looking for you!"
Talk about luck!

Lexaeus looked down at Demyx. He had never been fond of Number IX. His laziness and cowardice made him unsuitable for many things the Organization needed. "Number IX." He spoke in his deep voice. He extended one thick arm and pushed Demyx back a bit. There was such a thing as personal space. "Why?"
A simple, curt question. Anything more was pointless.

Demyx stumbled as the massive Number V pushed him back.
Making sure to stay out of arm's reach, Demyx began searching the inside pockets of his cloak.
"I've got it in here somewhere...Ah!"
And then he pulled out the ever-infamous notecards.
"Right, here goes. Lexaeus, I've been ordered to inform you of the change in the Organization's leadership. On Saix's orders, not the new leader's. The message is that Xemnas, unlike the rest of us, hasn't come back from the dead, and now Marluxia's in charge of everything."
Demyx waited patiently for the Silent Hero's reaction. The guy was usually mellow, but who knows, he could have been holding in some pent up rage...

Lexaeus's eyes narrowed during Demyx's recitation. "I see." He said evenly. "None stepped up to stop this from happening and succeeded." He looked up into the constant night sky. He turned around, facing the grimy corner he had stepped out from, and held out one black gloved hand. The dark portal which had faded earlier came back in full force. "The Superior is out there." He stated simply. "I presume one of the heroes defeated him. We all returned from such. He must have as well."

"Ah, we've kind of already checked most of the worlds... If he's out there, he's hiding for some reason."
As Demyx said this, he turned away from Lexeaus, fully intending to leave the Nobody to do what he wanted.
"But hey, that's your choice. I'm done with my mission, and I'm not gonna try to stop you."

[ I be a Keyblader, come t' crash yerrrr party! ] [ ENTER ALY ]"Hyup!"
Light blurred the nothingness that made up the reality of this grey world, leaving two in its wake.
One had obviously been prepared for the transportation-- blond, tall, and dressed for combat in both clothes and stance, the young woman landed easily on her feet, sliding easily into a practical--
Black coats on black world and there's stress in the air fudge.
--practiced battle stance.
The other was not prepared for whatever jump had occured. Stumbling to her feet, the shorter, teenage, brown haired girl brushed herself down automatically. "Man, I could do without the--"
"COUGHOrganizationCOUGH."
Habit took over right away. Aly'd been doing some growing up recently, with all the happenings with the sudden onslought of blindness and Keyblade. It helped with some of the stress of all that aforementioned.
Light surged forward once more, this time in the younger's hand. The macadam resonated in kind, the dark shadows growing darker and the weak shadows vanishing. A weapon fell into her hands, large and of dark metal, ensared by a bright yellow ribbon surrounding it to--
Keyblade. It was a Keyblade, with the way the ribbon curved and hung off like that off the edge of the weapon.
A lopsided grin showed more than confidence on the elder's face. "So, which one's the--"
"The broader one. Guy looks like he could benchpress tanks for a reason."
Cwen nodded, the eagerness of battle taking her common sense.
In Cwen's surprising absence of speech, Aly found herself hesitating. B-but...
"L-- get out of here." Aleasa Harper muttered out unconvincingly at the pair of Organization members.
Cwen sighed. So far, and yet...

"!" Lexaeus rapidly turned around, the dark corridor fading. A Keyblade? Here? His jaw tightened. "If you challenge me, you must prepare yourself accordingly." He held out one hand, and rocks flew from the surroundings to form around his outstretched hand, forming a large boulder around it. It broke apart, revealing Skysplitter. A dark reddish brown aura swirled outwards from him for a moment.
"I shall not yield to a faltering heart!"

Demyx looked at the glares passing between Lexaeus and Cwen and Aly.
"Hey, I'm not here to fight. If you two want to kill each other, be my guests."
With that, he disappeared in a portal of darkness.
Unbeknownst to the three he'd just spoken to though, he reappeared on a nearby rooftop, holding a pair of binoculars. No point in missing the fight, after all.

"Tch." Cwen gave a soft chuckle as she heard the familiar tone of a coward. "Man, I'd say that saved us some trouble, but I don't think he was--- holy shoot"
Earth and stone and whatever flying through the air was not a nice thing to behold, even to a battle veteran such as Cwen. Aly's widened eyes gave appropriate appreciation for the display of power as well.
"WELL, Mr. Clean," said the blond remnant as she cracked her knuckles, "wanna see if you can hit me?"
Whoosh was the echo the air left behind as Cwen leapt forward and low to the ground for a close pass at the Organization member, letting her jacket drift ot the pavement as the remnant kept her hands low to the ground, itching to move.
[ Unrivalled Grace in affect-- expect Cwen to put the Matrix to shame ]
"Cwen, I don't--"
"Hey, I can play at his level!" Cwen scolded.
Tightening her grip on the Keyblade Whisper of a Dream, Aly let go of her bit lip and mentally readied herself as she fired off the initial shot of the fight-- a stream of lights flared and shot for Lexaeus.

"Hmph." Lexaeus barely gave Cwen a second glance, slamming the Skysplitter on the ground. Five chunks of rock burst out of the ground. One of them was a solid wall in between him and Aly, blocking the light attack. The other four, however, were all small spikes bursting from different directions at Cwen. Even if they didn't hit, it would take concentration to avoid all four.
His second motion was to lift up Skysplitter and use the momentum to spin. On part of the pass the giant Axe Sword went between him and Cwen at high speeds, possibly distracting her from making an attack, and then the real target of it was clear. He smashed the flat of Skysplitter into the wall, breaking it off at the ground and sending it flying forwards at Aly.

BRKK went two of the hard rock spikes as they shot up and into Cwen's crouched frame, forcing her body's automatic response to be a shove upwards to lessen the blow.
Good thing she had been focusing on Lexaeus, huh?
As Aly frowned at the appearance of the wall, Cwen turned the jolt upwards into a quick tilt by unbalancing her center of gravity. With no time to spare, her right arm's broad side met Skysplitter midair.
[ Strong Summon Ability Hand Guard in effect-- right arm, as weapon, immune to destruction and attack such as this ]
K-KRrrrNG!
Cwen's arm may not have been one to be damaged easily, but the sheer jolt of the massive thing sent a ruckus of pain through the remnant. Aly felt it immediately, and grabbed her left arm with her right, unwittingly allowing her Keyblade to fade out of existence. Then, with the weapon still going, the weapon arm slid upward--!
A reckless-- and at this point, customary-- grin of anticipation spread across Cwen's face as she allowed the Organization member to see her grab onto the weapon's edge by twisting her wrist and catching it with her hand at the last moment.
Plans for sliding down the weapon and giving the ugly redhead a good old roundhouse kick to the chin started forming in Cwen's honed mind.
But the huge man's-- Nobody's, excuse her-- momentum was waaaaaaaaaaaaay too up there. He kept going with the spin!
Cwen wasn't as strong as she'd like to be, but she was pretty darn quick. She pulled her legs up quickly, so as to prevent the uglyhead from grabbing onto one of them while flying about, and HOLY SHOOT THE WEAPON WAS TWISTING WUT
The Nobody was turning the weapon downward-- with Cwen starting to fall downward-- headed for a WALL THAT WAS NOT THERE A MINUTE AGO
By now, Cwen could only let her instincts act. Thoughts would be too slow to react--
She let go, none too soon, and let the momentum from the swing toss her towards the stone's edge. Again, with a twist of the leg, Cwen's center of gravity changed dramatically, bringing her outlying limbs up just enough to pass over it...
Aly, still somewhat dizzy from the pain, fought to bring the Keyblade back to her. Light swirled around her hand--
Lexaeus' weapon hit the stone wall, slowing for that one crucial (metaphorical) second to give Cwen a small lead on the coming stone--
The stone broke off at the base, lifting into the air--
Cwen banged her knee on it--
It went back down, bounced against the macadam, but kept going forward--
But that small second where the stone faltered was enough for Aly's own mind to decide to bring up her Keyblade from the coming attack--
B-CRANG
Stone met Keyblade.
Stone lost.
[ Strong Keyblade Ability Endure used; 5/6 remain Strong Ability Bonded is in effect ]
Cwen dropped to the floor behind Aly, allowing the unmoving Keyblade wielder to bear the attack.
Sweat hung from Cwen's eyebrows, and none hung from Aly's. Not one to wait, however, Cwen promptly grabbed Aly by the legs and-- though by now Aly was yelling as was proper of one being thrown-- tossed straight for Lexaeus, whether he was still swinging or not.
Aly, being not stupid, set he chin as though in stone and brought out a flurry of inner power, shown as bright light blasting at high velocity around herself.
[ Super Strong Keyblade Ability Invulnerable in effect-- Aly is invincible for next three rounds ]
Gripping the Keyblade's grip, Aly sighed inwardly. Another fight. This wasn't a healthy career option. She moved to slash the opposing Nobody midair--
--while Cwen started forward herself, charging for the large man once more at a low crouch.
"Was that supposed to hurt?" Cwen scoffed recklessly. "C'mon Puny-- you've gotta do better than that!"

Lexaeus grit in teeth as the memory of being angry flowed through him. In habit, he let it take over, pretending he still possessed it.
He drew back the Axe Sword to the ground, both hands on the handle firmly. "Don't mock me!" And he had a flashback to the last time he'd said those words. Same stance and attack. Same angry voice.
Different results.
He swung UPWARDS in order to hit Aly. If he had aimed right, he'd smash right past the attack she had begun and strike her body, sending her flying upwards. Hopefully it would do some damage, and even guarding with her weapon, highly unlikely, would send her flying high into the air.
If that was successful, he would let go of the weapon, allowing it to spin through the air above him and land one foot behind him, hitting the ground with all its weight. A pillar would burst from the ground either right before or underneath Cwen, if all went well. If he was even a second too slow, it would burst out from behind her, but he could soak up damage.
