Now Leon was angry. His narrator has no need to recap events already thrice described, but needless to say that another of these white strangers was coming his way now. 'So much for not having a reason to come back,' the scarred man thought as it began one of their trademark flurries of punches and kicks at him. I say began because it didn't exactly do more than the very first punch in this instance. The swordsman figured they couldn't do their suddenly-not-there trick if they actually intended to hit somebody so the masked figure's fist was caught by his free hand at literally the last moment and, reacting to the catch again before a normal human being could even realize that their punch wasn't going to reach its target, he whipped his left arm to the side with strength a human being wouldn't normally have and snapped the attacker away like a rag doll. Maybe it would do that thing where it just pops up behind you again instead of getting flung into the nearby wall like a good enemy, but at least it would be out of his face for a brief moment. He didn't really have time to waste on these guys.
'Stupid old man,' Squall thought after seeing Cid's plan, partially due to being called by his real name in front of an outsider. The third figure decided to vanish before Leon could even ask him for proper help and "tell him what they knew", so his opinion of that one wasn't too high. It was probably best not to give out such information anyway. Ansem's Lab was in a secret location, but if that girl knew his real name then why not that as well? Considering that the castle was as hollow as its old name implied, there was literally nothing else of interest left in there besides the library. And that probably couldn't bring about the destruction of the world even if the pen was mightier than the sword. "It's Leon."
He rushed towards the pilot engineer and hopped to plant both of his feet at the end of the Venus Gospel, which WOULD have promptly catapulted him skyward had he not other ideas in mind. Leon yelled "Jump!" before actually getting to the foul-mouthed blond and grasped a hold on the spear he was on with his left hand to prevent being thrown off.
A couple of fireballs shot at the ground behind Cid on either side of him and the wide blankets of flames that sprouted forth would hopefully help to deter further interruption.

[Sucky post. :\ Putting a little dialogue I RPed out with Bilbs. With his permission of course.]
Cid would also love to retort to Leon’s bitter correction of his name [Cid will call him whatever the hell comes to his head and there will be no freaking correction to that], but before he could growl back something insensitive, Leon jumped onto his spear. Cid had never tried this before, but hey, it’s worth a shot. Fireballs exploded around the mechanic and he jumped as instructed. As they ascended, the brunet spoke over the shriek of the wind.
"Did you really think I was going to leave you with all of them around, Cid?"
"You doubt I can take care of em?" Cid scoffed, shouting back. Not that Cid was going to have any grief about it. Besides, It seems Squall [Leon…] had something better in mind.
"Those things will probably pop up all over town. Give me a boost toward the Bailey. You should be able to land in the market from here. Find someone to watch your back and check the town systems."
"Do yer thing."
"It's what I'm good at. But if you find any extra help I wouldn't mind if you sent them my way."
"Just kick her ass, Leon."
And with that, Cid launched the man towards the direction of the bailey with a growl. And off he goes!
Landing close to the market, Cid ran towards the direction of Merlin’s house, where he could turn on the security cameras in the lab and see what was going on. For now, he would have to work behind the front lines…
[Oh no, censors. D: Cid not happy...]

[Very creative Nascent very creative. Although considering the distance the town is from the actual lab I'd have to say it will have to be about ten posts since Kassom can't travel at light speed or anything. Once the ten turns are up though you have to appear in Ansems library. Those are the only things I ask of you.]
With Kassom leaving the area in pursuit of the woman in yellow it was now just Cid and Leon left to deal with the masked creatures. Leon managed to throw one of the masked creatures into a wall but would suffer being hit numerous times by the other one. Leon would then sprint over to where Cid was at where the two then launched themselves into the air. The fireballs fired from Leon managed to draw the masked beasts that were near Cid back away from them giving them a successful jump.
As they were in midair Cid catapulted Leon towards the bailey so that he could get a head start. The bad thing was with Kassom leaving the other two masked creatures behind they were two steps ahead of Leon and Cid. The two had seen what was about to be attempted and quickly readied themselves as well. As soon as Cid jumped in the air one of the masked creatures grabbed onto his partners arms and began spinning around like a top. Finally it had enough force and let go of his partner in the direction of where Leon and Cid were at. As Leon was rocketing towards the bailey he would soon be slammed in the gut by one of the masked creatures legs quickly stopping the warrior dead in his tracks. The creature then grabbed Leon by his hair and slammed his mask into Leons face as the two fell to the ground.
Meanwhile Cid was on his way to Merlins house but would soon be met with three of the masked beasts blocking his path.

Leon would give credit where credit was due. Cid's Hyper Jump had brought the two fighters practically into the clouds, yet these guys were still able to throw one of their own that high enough fast enough to try and intercept him after Cid's spear launch. It seemed amazing, but seeing as he'd gotten up there himself by hitching a ride on a pilot/engineer who could jump clear into the sky Squall was hardly going to spend any time marveling at it.
Maybe the masked figure thought that a head butt would work well against Leon because its face was covered and his wasn't. Immediately after trying the move it would know it had been wrong. Not a sound was made as Leon's free left hand closed hard on his grappler's shoulder after the head to head attack. Barely a focused look was given before the man's scarred forehead slammed right back the way it had been knocked from under his own mighty force, smashing into the mask of the enemy with the Guardian Force's inhumanely tough skin and tilting their bodies thought the momentum so that Leon's was mostly in the direction of where he wanted to go. He didn't say a word as the left hand slipped like a striking snake to the enemy's chest and his knees bent toward his chest, but the sentiment was the same for this one as he'd had for the one he'd thrown out of his way and for the one who's blows he'd ignored and endured:
As long as he could help it these guys simply weren't going to be getting any of his time.
He actually hoped that would inspire them to keep chasing him and not others like Cid.
A point-blank fireball separated the two in a powerful explosion, off of which Leon High Jumped from his opponent's form to gain a boost from his own magic attack. Looking very much like he'd been rocket-boosted from the small trail of flames lingering beneath his feet the swordsman picked up where he'd left off, arcing up and over the small image of the town below. It wasn't as good a boost as Cid's would have been if uninterrupted, the man was a genius when it came to trajectories after all, but it would have to do. Horizontal distance quickly lost ground to vertical distance as Leon's arc dropped. He was coming down on the other side of the Boroughs, just outside the Bailey. Unfortunately he was not a master of trajectories and had hardly been able to aim at the time. He was overshooting the far wall and was going to end up crashing down into the canyons below.
Not in the plan.
Steering himself in mid-air as best he could Leon aimed for one of the old cranes that still hung around on that side of town. Reaching out with his right hand after putting his revolver away the gunblader managed to snag it and pull himself into a circular swing around the fall and let go to drop on to the stone walkway that led into the bailey.
Not exactly an easy trip, but it got the job done. Knowing that the enemy could appear again at any time Leon readied his weapon again and started for the Bailey. If nobody was in the secret lab then at the least Tron should be able to locate if there was an intruder elsewhere in the castle.

While the Gunbladers quick tactics managed to still give him the boost he needed in order to get ahead of the others the masked being that had been caught by the warriors explosive attack was not down for the count. The explosion caused it to rocket down at an angled position which was coincidentally right in the same direction of where Leon was falling as well.
It soon landed feet first around the middle of the stairway that led up to the pathway towards the bailey. It had no time to dilly dally now that Leon was just about to land, it had to make sure he wouldn't get any further. It quickly began to run up the stairs disappearing then reappearing four more steps up not even appearing to make any motion as it went up the stairs, as if it were just skipping time. It would eventually get to the top of the stairs the instant that Leon had landed on the stone pathway. Also there to meet up with the scarred warrior was the masked creature that he had thrown into the wall before. It stood right in his path while the other was behind him.

[I’m having a really hard time imagining the scene here…If Leon had used the blast to propel himself towards the bailey, shouldn’t the enemy be blasted in the opposite direction…? @__@]
Through the market he ran, thankfully, the square was quite empty at this time of the day. He needed to get to Merlin’s house and a bitter feeling tugging on the hair at his neck told him that he was going to meet some fierce opposition on the way. Sure enough, around the corner he ran, and there were three of them waiting for him.
Pausing, the man stared ferociously at them, then proceeded to pull down his goggles. But then again, his crushed nose was already having enough agony without the need of goggles squishing against it. He pushed the goggles back up to his sweat soaked blond hair. Glancing at the surrounding buildings, Cid knew that Merlin’s house was just behind the buildings. He couldn’t really lead them right to the magician’s house, and entering doesn’t mean that he was completely safe from these…things.
Well, there was only one thing he could do.
Snarling, Cid charged at the three. Right before he got to the three though, he stopped and turned, slamming his spear backwards on the wall to his left, right into a metal pipe. High pressured air blasted out of the air pipe—someone was not going to have ventilation tonight—hot enough to melt the skin off of three unsuspecting baddies and knock them back several impressive feet. Cid backed off, brushing burning steam off of his own skin with a hiss. At least he wasn’t caught in the blow. Even if the three had not been caught, the air had exploded right in front of the mechanic, causing enough ear splitting high shrieks, chaos, heat, and forces to confuse the monsters. Cid might not have Leon’s fireballs, but hey, he’s got pipes.
However, the power of the steam was only going to last a few more seconds, and it wasn’t time for Cid to marvel at how pretty the scenery was—melting skin, steam squealing out of metal pipes with enough force to send someone flying back and keep them there, all the while melting their skin. For Cid, there’s nothing better than watching the clammy skin of your opponent melt right off.
Using his spear, Cid launched over the scene, jumping off a pipe to avoid landing in the steam himself. He could see Merlin’s house, just a few meter from him.

[You forget the masked beast had been clinging onto Leons hair and was still holding onto his hair even after he headbutted back meaning it was positioned in a angle that even though Leon may have placed his legs on its chest, didn't mean the masked beast was positioned in the opposite direction. It didn't have its legs clinging onto him they were pretty much hanging down towards the floor so it would have a position that, even if Leon was shooting off of it its trajectory would still be in a similar direction just not entirely the same.]
Cid would soon see the masked beings standing near where he was about to land all three of them with some halfway melted off masks. Their faces were quite a sight to see, their eyes were all white with no eyebrows, their noses seemed to have been pulled back very far, the skin that was still around and wasn't decayed off was a palish grayish color and was very stretched out. They appeared more like zombies than anything else. The strange thing about this was they didn't seem the least bit harmed from all of this. Cids fiendish attempt to cause pain to another person and see their pain as an amusement would sadly go unrewarded. The ruckus and loud noises didn't seem to help either but considering that earlier the masked creatures had been making sounds much worse than the pipes were, this was as calm as ocean waves on a clear sunny day. The ugly creatures lifeless eyes were staring blankly at Cid as he landed in front of them. The force from the pipe must have been strong enough to blow them this far so that they were just a foot away from him.
One of them cracked its neck before performing a sweep kick towards Cids feet. One of the others launched itself forward with its fist going straight for Cids face while the third began to back up some two feet.
One thing that these two would probably not notice with all the commotion from the others was there was one missing from the group. Indeed, the masked creature that had thrown its partner at Leon was nowhere to be found. Right after it had thrown the other masked creature it just left for somewhere else. Was it going to help its comrades? No, it had other things to attend to. The woman they had captured before was no longer the last here there were others that arrived in this world from another place. Their work was not done and it could sense this and immediately went to go finish the job. It knew where they were and it would quickly go to where they were and take them away from this world.

(OOC: Sorry I haven't been on in a while; been having problems with my connection. At any rate, I suppose ten turns does make sense. Ilaelis is decently fast underground, but you're right - nowhere near extreme speed. So, ten turns and pop up in Ansem's library? Works for me! I'll be sure to post IC if anything happens that would be noticeable underground, just so you guys don't forget about me. )

[If it takes ten in a fairly straight course with no interruption to get even that far then what chance to the rest of us earth-walkers have? XD]
Only two. Not good. Leon hoped that if he was the one heading for the castle then most of the masked men would be on his trail, but this left the majority of them for Cid.
'Don't you die on me old man,' Leon thought sternly, not ready to lose a second father-figure in his life any more than he was ready to lose his world a second time. Of course he wasn't sitting around while he thought this, but rushing towards the bailey as if the enemy wasn't even standing right in his way. Leon was reminded of his rush to reach the computer during the MCP crisis and cutting down the Heartless in his path without slowing down any more than necessary, which wasn't much. It looked like he'd need to repeat that history if he was to give himself fewer obstacles down the line. His upper body twisted to the left with his sword arm reared back, which basically telegraphed the idea that he was going to try and slash the enemy out of his path with plenty of time for them to react to it.
That wasn't like him at all but he still did it, because with that same motion his left arm was pointed behind him as he ran and fired another No Mercy at the ground between himself and the other one. He shot it at the stone path so that, even if it move din that strange way after him, the splash wave of the fire bomb's explosion might still knock it away without a direct hit. The flames had been enough to ward them off of Cid's leap before, may as well test the theory that it worked.
For the other one Leon did exactly as he was clearly planning to do. When he got close enough he slashed from his right to his left with the gunblade in order to clear his path. What was "close enough" however, was suddenly a larger range of options than it had been a moment ago.
The Blade of the Heart. It was the embodiment of all of Squall Leonhart's hopes and dreams to defeat what had taken everything away from him and threatened everything left which he loved. Even if he couldn't fulfill that role himself, even if he carried a certain weight of darkness in his heart, that strong light still burned with all of these desires. For his world and everyone that he wanted to see living happily in it he would cut down anyone in his path or fight to the last breath trying.
The monster could skip ahead at him at any moment. having lost the woman from before because of this there was no way he'd ever forget they moved in such an unexpected fashion. When he slashed still quite a distance from the enemy, however, a flash of white suddenly jolted out of the blade and filled up the expanse between them and a little more as it cleaved through. Now whether he was still far away or closer than expected he could still land the blow and pull the trigger of his gunblade to blast it away or break it apart, whichever came first. And if it somehow dodged the slash by moving up or back or even down(He'd step right on and over it if he had to), whatever direction was good enough for him. It would still be out of his way for the moment he needed it to be. Of course if it was down or up then it would need to try and be quite far in the chosen direction, else their target's Warrior Spirit would be more than up to the task of seeing it and adjusting the angle of his swing to compensate.
But the swordsman couldn't relax for an instant. Who knows what the thing behind him was doing. If there was no sound to indicate it had been delayed as desired then he would need to guard his rear. As long as they were chasing him and no one else that was good enough regardless of the struggle it might mean for the would-be guardian of the world. Luckily these things didn't seem interested in more civilians.
Speaking of which, the man who called himself Leon would find his heart torn if he knew where the one missing creature was heading. The unconscious folk delivered by the Black Knight were being watched by committee members though, so they weren't yet lost. And since he himself had moved to where the abduction took place so fast only because of... that... then that meant they still had time as well. It would take the invader still a while longer before it could cross the distance moving as they did unless it took a similar shortcut. But would it be enough time?
Thank goodness the weight of wondering did not burden the focus of his heart's desire.
No matter what happened to the two enemies from Leon's actions the swordsman had no intentions of actually running through the bailey gates. It was much faster for him to High Jump to the top right of the enclosure, then leap forward off again and fall all the way down to the bottom of the steps below the other side. The canyon road to the castle's back entrance would be right in front of him if he could just get there. The lone warrior also wouldn't have to risk getting boxed inside the bailey that way.

[I'm afraid its a 0.1% chance of that Bilbo. But thats the kind of odds that I like to see not just because I'm trying not to let you guys win. But because I also like to see someone pull a miracle off somehow without it being a random teleportation. You understand?]
As Leon began his attack in order to continue his righteous path to the castle the masked creatures would quickly show him their undying effort to prevent him at all costs. Their will to stop him was just as strong if not stronger as his will to get there before it was too late. In the end, it would all really come down to whose heart was stronger Leons, or these creatures.
As Leon fired the blast towards the ground between him and the creature it seemed as though it would not give any thought to stopping instead just slowing down a bit so it would not be caught by the explosion right off the bat. As the explosion of fire burst from out the ground the creature actually jumped into the pillar of flames going through it and coming out moderately burnt still having some flames in its pants. Its mask though had been melted off completely revealing its horrendous face. It wouldn't let this stop it from continuing its charge towards Leon. In fact the attack would soon prove to be a slight advantage if everything went right.
Leons next attack would involve using his gunblade this time. As he drew near the other masked creature his blade would soon be coated with the power and energy of his heart increasing the range of his blade to where it would easily reach the masked creature. But even with Blade of the Heart activated it wouldn't be enough to stop the creature. It would continue on its path uninterrupted as though it saw the swing as well as the burst of energy as nothing but a fly swatter. The burst of energy would have been just released and be just inches away from the beast assuring an instant hit for the warrior but this would not come to happen.
Right before it would hit the masked creatures head it disappeared instantly as it usually did and reappeared under Leon bending awkwardly backwards before it lunged forward clinging onto the swordsman stomach with its legs then brought its upper body forward as fast as a mouse trap attempting to perform another head butt like the other one had tried before.
But it would not be a head butt like before, instead right as it got withing six inches away from Leons face he would quickly see that it was no longer wearing the mask anymore. But before he could get a good look at its face the creature let out a horrendous scream from its widened mouth sending a pulsing wave of sound directly at Leons face. Even if he were to use the split second that he had to react to this in any way shape or form with a very close range attack, it would not prevent the creature from continuing its attack. Now for normal people the force from the wave as well as the sheer intensity from the shrieking sound that was relatively equal to a sonic boom would instantly kill them in a very gruesome manner best not explained right now. But luckily for Leon he was clearly no normal human being so the effects would not be life threatening. Instead the strong sound wave would nullify his movements for a minute and just knock him backwards with very minor damage. The creature would then let go of its grasp of Leon letting him fly backwards.
But lets not forget about the unmasked creature that was trailing behind him. It would come from behind and grab onto Leons head using its legs that had a remainder of flames lingering still and twist around with him in the air before slamming him face first onto the concrete ground. It then jumped off of the back of Leons head before coming right back down on it using him like a trampoline.

“Shit, just bout nuthin can stop ye, can it?”
Not that groaning about it was going to do the man any good. They were here, and damn, they’re ugly. But he groaned anyway, feeling the sting of his nose amplify into a pulsating headache. Nothing a cup of tea couldn’t cure but it was clear that no remedy would be offered to the middle aged man at the moment. Well, here they come. If just about nothing can stop them, Cid was going to be the small sumthin’ that will.
“Come on!” Cid roared at them. Dodge the blow at from the feet with a jump. “I’m not gettin’ much exercise here!” Hardly the fitting words, but adrenaline surged through his limbs as he downsized his opponents. Cid Highwind never did well with weakness. It was far too limp and floppy. Besides, the man had fought worse things. Far worse. These were mere specks! Just a small virus that had inhibited the Garden’s paradigm, a measly obstruction in Cid’s path. Block the punch with his left hand; drive the spear into the puncher’s open abdomen with his right hand as he ducked to the left. And with all his heart, all the resolve he had in him to protect something he was never going to lose again, Cid was going to wipe these bugs from his sight.
Three. Which meant the others were with either Kassom or Leon. Most likely Leon, since Kassom seems to have evaded the battle along the way up to the castle. That wasn’t good. There were too many of them on Leon’s tail, and the burnet was the one heading up to the castle. They couldn’t afford any distractions, especially when the main frame computer of Radiant Garden was under attack. In the back of his mind, Cid cursed at his own stupidity, allowing the other three to run off. Leon had better come back in one piece so Cid can beat him silly. And Leon had better get there in time for whatever apocalyptic disaster the town was going to experience. The blond pilot had full confidence in Squall Leonhart though.
The other one who had been standing in the back…Cid had no time to ponder what it was going to do. Instead, he pulled his spear from his opponent’s torso [if he had hit] an]d again, smashed the spear head of his weapon into the pulpy distorted face peeking from under the porcelain mask of the one who had kicked him. He wasn't about to wait and see if it had struck the mark though, for the man was dashing past the two, meeting any attack the third one decides to toss at him. He would follow Leon's instructions and nothing was going to stop him. If it was going to be a contest of will, these things would have to do a lot more than tear pilot limb from limb. They would fall before the man would give in and allow them to take this world from the people of the Garden.

[Oh Shinn, you went and inspired me to make a fool of myself with fancy heart talk with that strong hearts line. Get ready for a few paragraphs of sap(Er... Manly sap of course. Yes.). You have it coming to you. Those of you skimming, skip down about three paragraphs(Not counting the one-liners). XD]
Who's heart was stronger? Was that really what was going to decide this struggle? Few would say Leon had a weak heart. The man had been purposefully strengthening both it and his trust in it for most of his life, after all. But he wasn't betting on strength of heart to achieve things for him. No matter how much he trained his light and drew on the power of connections to his friends, it wasn't as if he had a heart strong enough to wield a Keyblade or anything like that. His heart hadn't been strong enough for him to bring his home back, so why would it save his home now? No, a greater thing would need to do that.
Kingdom Hearts.
Squall Leonhart had both experienced and heard a lot of things about the world during his time, especially when serving as a guide for a certain budding young hero. If he knew one thing he knew this: Just as there were many worlds with one sky and one destiny, so too were there many people... but one heart. One destiny. Darkness clouded and corrupted people's hearts, but it wasn't the only thing that could do so. Either way, not everyone always followed their heart as they should have. Not everyone put their heart into what it was meant for. As he was now Leon didn't know how well he could hear his heart, but he trusted it. It told him to move forward. It told him to protect his home and his people, because he had been the one to willingly take on that weight many years ago when he was still too young to fulfill it.
If the scarred adult he had become was wrong then he would fail, no matter how strong his heart was. That would be that. The worlds would already have someone or something else chosen to save them instead and he would just be a man forcing his heart into the role of guardian of the world instead of fulfilling his true destiny, unless that fate was simply to try in vain so he could help others after as it was before. But if he was right... then Leon would allow nothing to stop him. No matter how small the odds of winning were, until they were reduced to absolute zero his heart would find the way, even if it was weaker than those opposing him. The power of a heart can fail if used against its purpose... even the power of Kingdom Hearts itself. The Superior of Organization XIII would certainly know that first-hand. The question was, which of the opposing sides was against their heart's true purpose.
Well, Leon had a strong body too. That would probably help a little, especially if he was the one in the wrong.
Back to the present, the masked creature in front of Leon disappeared before the sword's wide and far-reaching tip could quite get to it. The light from the warrior's spirit added its strength to the impulses of his nervous system, maximizing their speed. Just 0.1 seconds after it had done so he was aware of it bending awkwardly before him and then grappling to his lower body with its legs, torso stretched out and reared back below his weapon's path. The thing had lurched into him from being stationary while Leon had been dashing full strength though, so he could power through the opposing force with his might and keep running for the most part. The creature seemed to realize that too though, because a body blow was not what it had in mind for sending its opposition back the way he'd come. However... even if it managed the timing to come up with its head exactly as the swing was passed with no lag between the clear path and filling it, that split second it gave to the opponent to grapple and snap and the extended width and length of Leonhart's light sword had already sealed its fate.
Leon's swing was strong. He couldn't just stop it instantly above the enemy to beat this thing, but the swordsman had no need to. All he needed to do was use his wrist. A notch to the left to make his weapon stay in front of him even as the swing carried a little too far past. A curl downwards to get the edge of the weapon rotating in the desired direction, closing the distance between it and the enemy even faster. A drop in the vector of his momentum to turn the pure horizontal into a falling guillotine at the end. The faster the thing was going to spring up and scream in Leon's face, the faster it would wind up being defeated, which was apparently supposed to have been pretty fast. With his blade four times stronger in attack power slicing through the vanishing creature's body would be simple enough, but Leon's perfectly-timed trigger finger would also ensure that even a shallow cut would be blow wide open by his weapon's explosive blast. In a scenario like the one the enemy itself had created, its torso was not going to remain whole.
Whatever this newly-revealed-to-be-quite-ugly thing was, it was not going to stop the Protector of Radiant Garden with tactics like that, no matter how much pure determination and strength of heart it put into doing so.
It wasn't even going to slow him down.
Of course, without a reason to stop running Leon would just continue on towards his pre-described intended path. If the legs still latched to his body then another quick cut across the base of them would fix that during his jump to the Bailey's roof. Unfortunately, even if everything went as they might, the creature Cid had stabbed through the body before had quickly revived itself after disappearing. Leon wasn't totally aware of this fact due to his late appearance in the initial struggle, but it could mean that he had not relieved himself of a pursuer. It may even appear in front of him again with new tactics. At least for the one behind him, well it would have nothing to smash its feet into like that. It would also have given Leon another slight extension to his lead on it with the momentary hesitation it had to avoid the initial explosive force of No Mercy. How soon could it intercept him again before his double leaps brought him to the base of the ruined gate and his strong legs and trained physique was sprinting towards the castle? Probably not long, but probably not instantly either. Could Leon win himself some solid distance?
Having glimpsed its face Squall Leonhart would sincerely hope that these things were not what had become of the people kidnapped from here like that girl before was, and his heart would send out sincere sympathy for his recent possible "victim" if it were true. Still, he was used to fighting enemies who were once men and women no different than himself but now lost. If his heart urged him forward regardless then so it would be.

[ If we must go through 2 areas to reach it then will the blue trail and the castle's interior count for us? ]
Kadaj and his brothers came onto the scene now as well, their motorcycles roaring towards the light where they thought Mother wanted them to go. Was something trying to keep them from finally having their reunion? Surely they could not allow that to happen!
The youngest brother's machine fell down from a high wall where the flat plane he could ride across ended and landed in a side square. The rubber of his tires peeled forward and up some stairs through a broken gate. As Yazoo's reconnaissance had reported there was a straight road up the canyon to the back of the castle, where a rumours in town whispered of a hidden lab somewhere. Mother's voice assured him that the lab was part of he needed, or at least where what he needed would be found. As long as the light that had beamed down to the castle a short time ago was not threatening it then he would ignore it and let the locals be distracted by it. Otherwise he and his family would need to get involved as well.

Well, someone had to protect the people!
Thick soled shoes clomped to the ground of the town from a roof not too far above the ground. Her gloves were already on. Tifa hadn't been briefed very well, but upon her return to her newly adopted home, she'd met with some disturbing news, as well as the fact that apparently there were injured or sick people being cared for in the town. This alarmed the brunette. Her heart was already racing.
No one really got a chance to tell her what the cause of it was before she took off as fast as she could. True, usually she was one to get the whole story first, but this was too serious to just stand around and chat. Leon had left to do his thing as had Cid, so despite the suspicious tower of light seemingly at the castle, the people were top priority. She just hoped she wasn't too late to keep them safe.
It didn't seem she was. It almost seemed eerily peaceful compared to the situation at hand...
"Aerith?" the fighter called out, assuming the woman to be around somewhere caring for those in need. She wasn't visible though...and there were endless doors she could check in. The warm hues of her eyes seemed sharper and brighter than usual as the roved the area. Her trained martial artist senses were all tuned acutely to pick up any change in the area at all. Her muscles were poised and ready for a split-second reaction. Tifa was ready.
Slowly turning her well-trained body to look in the other direction, leather squeezed and adjusted against the soft flesh of her hands, pulled tight by her other hand just before she made a fist.

Immediately right after Kadaj, another vehicle zoomed into view, roaring and skidding over the granite. The sound of panicky motors was deafening as it echoed across the seemingly empty square. Landing perfectly, the large man on the motorcycle maneuvered it up the stairs, right after his youngest brother. A disgruntled look of anger etched deep into his heavy set face, Loz sped after his brother, never faltering in speed. They were getting closer and closer to the source of the light, and Loz had lost himself in the excitement and worry over what the light held for the three, and whether Mother was secured and safe. He was sure now, that something was wrong. Yazoo’s brief, yet grave glance at him when they were racing towards the town could only confirm his fears. Regardless, whatever was disturbing this place, if it threatened Mother’s safety and their reunion, Loz was going to make sure that nothing would be left in this town worth protecting.
