On the ground already? All the better to impale the thing down through the head with. Splitting the mask and the rest of its torso clean in half would be just as satisfying. Kadaj fell toward the target, not fearing his vulnerability in the air at all. It would pay for getting between himself and Mother.
Or not.
Before any of that could actually happen Kadaj's right hand flung out and his torso twisted. Two bright comets of light flashed out from the motion and arced in at the enemy driving toward Yazoo much faster than the bike itself could be going from standstill yet. Sure these things seemed immune to his magic, but the motorcycle wasn't. It would explode and then flip in the air, clearing Yazoo easily. Kadaj knew his brother's speed and grace. Avoiding that would be child's play for him even if all three of the things were hounding him at once. With any luck the rider would be blown to bits in the process.
Because nobody hurt Kadaj's brothers.

Destiny certainly wasn't hard to find How unfortunate for the masked creatures. Emerging from their white domain in order to cut Cloud's path off. It was an effort which simply occured far too late:
Yes the four enemies emerging wouldn't even be able to glimpse the blonde from the front OR the back, the only thing that they'd see was the blue streak of jolting energy in his wake. Cloud was literally zig-zagging through the air as he raced towards the Castle In the sky (TM for Ghibli/Disney lol). Once more, he had no resistance since he left his resistance way behind him. Meanwhile pillars of light shooting down to the floor had caught his attention. Zipping down to naught a hover he'd hopefully arrive to see what the commotion below was. In this case the SOLDIER would most likely arrive at Leon's area.
"Didn't expect to see you so out of shape."
Cloud spoke, though there was no evident humour in his voice. As for the enemies which failed to attack 'Leon', they'd be cut down with the power and speed of Omnislash!

"Yeah well, at least I'm not late."
The reply was strained, at least for Leon. It was pretty close to his normal voice just more resistant to come out. Sweat had started to form on the lionhearted one's brow, but he managed to prop himself up on one knee and one foot and looked to be recovering from... whatever that was. Actually he still felt like a dozen snakes were trying to fit through his circulatory system in a race around his body's internal organs. Standing up was rather out of the picture for now. Somehow though, hearing Cloud's voice and that sarcastic comment had lightened Squall's heart a little and it took the edge off the pain. It was good to see the blond again, especially now.
Leon watched as Cloud went to work on the masked strangers. Popping from one place to another instantly they had. Inhuman reflexes and resilience they had. And yet there was Omnislash, making nothing Leon had seen yet from them seem to be anything important. The SOLDIER was faster, stronger, and pretty much couldn't be slowed down or really harmed by anything. Squall may have had the determination to get this far but Cloud had something else: Real power. It was something the brunet was actually jealous of, deep down. In a more accurate way though, he was just thankful for it.
And the pain seemed to dull a little farther.
"Finally found something here worth fighting for, Cloud?" Leon said, more lightly than before but carrying still the hint of a strain. The swordsman knew the answer of course. Two girls in particular were no doubt on spiky-hair's mind as he tore up the air in waves of sparking blue. He wasn't going to let anything hurt them as long as he could fight... and neither would Leon. "Then don't waste your time here. Something's happening in the castle. We've got to stop it. The secret lab is the most likely target. I'll catch up."
Squall pushed himself to his feet while groping for his revolver's handle and successfully retrieving the gunblade. The Blade of the Heart didn't flare up again but he did manage to run into the fray and start hacking skillfully at the masked men... if there were actually any left to fight at least. Omnislash did do efficient work.
The pain was still there but it didn't matter. Leon's heart told him to fight. That was what mattered.

It was a close call. A few inches more and there would have been no more Loz, just a lot of charred flesh. However, the elder brother didn’t realize this. All he cared about was getting to Mother.
Roaring, Loz jumped mid charge, making an amazing leap for a man so large. It was a perfect arch, and he would have landed right on the masked creature. Of course, one must take into account of the thing’s tendency to…poof. Slamming down his weapon on the masked creature, Dual Hound hissed as a charge of electricity surged through the technology, zapping the thing with enough force that it would have knocked the monster back several feet. Of course, Loz had taken into account that he might have missed, and the thing might pop up right behind him. If the thing should disappear, Loz would have restrained his punch, saving the crackling sting, pivoted, directing his punch behind or above him if needed. It should be enough to knock the monster right into the beams, if he landed a hit behind him.
If the persistent things had managed to avoid Loz wholly, then the punch would have been pounded right into the ground, again causing a small scale earth tsunami, rolling towards whoever’s unfortunate enough to be caught in the mess.

[Five turns left. Kassom can now show up in Ansems library.]
Fortunately for Kadaj, his aim was precise and the motorcycle exploded taking the masked creature with it. It did a spinning flip in the air barely missing Yazoo by a hair and continued to spin out of control until it crashed into the yellow beam that was behind them. The motorcycle and the masked creature were instantly disintegrated after the both of them were entirely engulfed by the beam. Yazoo would still find himself at the mercy of the other masked creature as it came at him with rapid punches and kicks that would even catch someone with Yazoos quick responses and awareness off guard. It landed two hard punches to the face and one kick to the left rib.
Loz had taken into account if the creature would disappear and reappear behind him he would be ready. He even took into account that it may appear above him. But the masked creature did none of those. Instead it vanished and reappeared a safe distance from Loz off to his side. It's mask was still off and once again, it let out a loud wave of sound heading directly towards Loz.
Cloud was able to avoid the masked creatures in town, but the blue stream of light that he left behind gave the creatures full knowledge to where he was going. They hopped from rooftop to rooftop following the stream of blue light before it could vanish. Cloud showed up just in the nick of time, so to speak. He said a few words to Leon, and wasted no time in performing Omnislash on the masked creatures. They awaited him until he got close enough to attack them, then they quickly vanished avoiding being hit by both Cloud and Leon, who recently returned to the fight. One reappeared several feet behind Leon with it's mask off and let out a shriek which sent out a large wave of sound towards him. The other two reappeared in different areas not doing much after that.
Kassom would now reach the secluded study room that belonged to Ansem the Wise. There were tons of books stacked up on the floor containing loads of knowledge and theories of hearts, worlds, and Kingdom Hearts. Kassom would soon notice that he was not alone. Sitting in Ansems chair was a bulky looking man with long brown hair that was very messy. His skin was the same pale gray color like the girl from before. He had a square facial bone structure almost looking like a caveman in some ways. His eyes were all yellow showing no pupils, and he had a thick brown beard. He wore a tight gray shirt with black pants and black soldier boots. He wore a gold necklace with a gold heart worn upside down.
He was reading a book when Kassom showed up. He looked over at him taking time to examine him before placing the book on the table and standing up. "What business do you have here?" he said in a low raspy voice.

OOC: Sorry for the w---, oh...? I thought everyone would have posted by now. Alright well I don't want to lag Shinn so...
IC:
The creatures were quick; nimble even but Jack wasn't exactly hear to play. Neither was Cloud; for that matter...thus upon their retreating Cloud would fit in a quick response to Leon.
"As long as my friends are here, that's enough reason to protect them and the place they love."
Thus Cloud bolted into the air once more. This would cause Leon to deal with the creatures but either way Cloud's target was clear. The Castle in the sky needed to be cut down. Pending his arrival and if the Castle had any defenses, he'd be alert and ready to dodge/counter any attacks. If there was none to be had, then the castle would face massive destruction.
Omnislash Turn 3.

A sound blast from behind. Well, this was new. To Leon at least. He hadn't gotten to see that particular ability yet. The swordsman was flung forward harshly. At least he hadn't taken it head-on, so his body's momentum already being in this direction before it hit made it slightly less painful... but only slightly. He wished it had been a more noticeable difference.
Flying forward the sound waves seemed to be dying down quickly. Leon had already seen the other two vanish and reappear elsewhere before he was hit, so now seemed as good a time as any to pull off one of those ridiculous maneuvers only crazy fantasy heroes with a death wish would ever attempt or have any chance of performing. In his case one-track mind to preserve his world equaled death wish for that equation.
Leon tilted his body forward and jabbed the revolver into the earth, simultaneously releasing it from a normal grip with his right hand and catching the side of the handle with his left. As he did so he let his legs swoop out to his right behind him. As expected the last dying sound waves caught his extra surface area and pushed them forward harshly, but Leon was now anchored to his blade and the worst of the blast was too far gone to rip it out. He was whipped around and let go with his left hand, causing his body to be flung in the direction of the masked stranger that had appeared to the left after avoiding Omnislash(I assume I am allowed to say at least a direction since nothing was specified). His right hand, which had been held over the other side, grabbed the gunblade again as it came past and yanked it out of the earth as Leon's body somersaulted from the whip crack.
Fired from his impossible(But awesome) feat Leon was now lunging toward one of the masked foes with an impressive velocity and he would bring his blade in a horizontal slash through wherever they were at his time of arrival, even if he had to lunge again after landing to reach them.
Prevent destruction of world first. Think about why he should never try to do that again later.

Kassom flashed the bookworm a devious grin; he didn't have time to waste on this guy, but still wanted to leave something of an impression.
"No business of yours, pal." The wry lynx waved dismissively. "Go back to your book; I gotta jet."
Without waiting for a response, the agile rogue ran straight towards one of the nearby bookcases, jumped, and kicked off. His fancy parkour put him high enough that he was able to fling a tendril of metal around the railing of the library's second floor balcony and rapidly pull himself up and over. He wasn't quite sure where he was going at this point, considering he'd never even been inside this castle before... but if he kept heading for the area where that beam of light had torn a hole in the roof he'd discover his destination soon enough.
Of course, who was to say this place was unguarded? As soon as he was up on the balcony a wave of liquid metal washed over Kassom's body, covering and coating him from head to toe. He was certain to run into trouble soon enough -- the freaky-eyed book reader, perhaps? -- but he wouldn't stop moving. If he was fast -- and fast he was -- he'd catch up to Miss Queen Bee before whatever she intended could come to pass.
"Sayonara!" He shouted, rushing for the nearest exit.
(OOC: Didn't know whether I should assume that the "secret passage" to the Lift Stop's vertical shaft was open or not. If so, that's the path I'd like Kassom to take. Your call.)

Victorious smirk. Now was the time for a victorious smirk. As soon as the dust cleared, Loz prepared himself to make the finishing touch on the monster, which had probably been knocked silly by the wave of earth that had rolled from his punch, which had erupted from all sides. But apparently he wasn’t allowed his small moment of triumph, simply cause there was none. The tremor barely made the creature tremble, having dastardly disappeared and appeared far enough from Loz to avoid the worst of the attack. Far enough that even as it opened its mouth and let off another banshee screech, Loz was just a bit beyond the worse of the blast. Of couse, he was still crudely thrown from his stable position, right into the cliff that overlooked the trail [the direction from where the blast is from is kinda vague…so I will just assume].
Straightening his body, Loz positioned himself so his foot would hit the cliff first. Again, his body began to glow. The impact with the cliff created a giant crater right into the cliff, and just as soon as Loz hit the wall, a trail of blue could be seen leading from the hole to the monster. At the same time, a hand grabbed onto the monster’s cloak before it can even see enough of the situation to disappear, and the large man jumped, taking to the air. Just like before when Loz had used Mother’s Gift to attempt to strangle the creature, the elder brother had used the ethereal speed bestowed upon him by his beloved mother to match the creature’s ability to teleport. Mothers always win in the end, at least that’s what Loz would assume. Spinning, Loz aimed, still moving at five times the rate of any normal creature, and then grunted as he released, tossing the creature towards the three beams of light that blocked the brother’s path to Mother with the speed of a meteor entering the atmosphere. That should be enough to nullify any form of resistance from the masked monster while Loz was still holding onto it. But it would all depend Mother’s will after that. Would the thing burn to a crisp in the beams?
Landing –hardly graceful, as usual—the toxic blue sheen left the silver haired brother as he raised his fists, waiting to see if the unfortunate had befallen his resistor. Now was the time for a victorious smirk. Perhaps.

[Guess I’ll go assist Tifa]
“Idiot…” Cid sighed. As crude as he was, he sincerely hoped the two will get out of this alive. He hoped everyone will get out of this alive. But the best he could do right now was to ensure that all of the villagers will be safe, next on his list will be his Committee. Regardless, Cid was going to work his ass off to make sure they’re all safe and sound. However, it seems time was just ticking away. The pilot was beginning to feel more and more agitated as he turned his back on the Cloud who was speeding away and headed back deeper into the residential area. Was it because there were more people left Cid did not get to?
Without his knowing, the man was actually getting closer and closer to another member of the Committee. Glancing to his left, he spotted an open door, kicked down by a powerful foot. Cursing lividly, Cid dashed towards the door, barely hanging on its hinges, assuming that the masked creatures had attacked one of the citizens. He was going to strangle the putrid life out of that revolting pile of…
“Tifa!” Cid shouted, wasting no time to reach out with his long spear to block the kick aimed at the woman’s stomach. But he couldn’t act enough to stop the creature from tossing the person right into the white light. Infuriated, Cid swung the spear, clearing the monster’s kick, blade straight at the creature’s torso. Another innocent he couldn’t save. This was just too many failures in one day. It was unfortunate that the room was small, too small to easily maneuver the Venus Gospel.
“A bit late,” Cid glanced at the woman apologetically, then back towards the masked creature. No holding back.

[Thats fine with me Nascent. But where are you going? And Yami, am I to believe that you'll be using Omnislash on the Hollow Bastion Castle?]
Where was Kassom going indeed? As the young rouge left the library the unknown bulky man did not attempt to stop him in any way. He just sat back down, picked up his book, and continued reading. Kassom would have a hard time looking for a hole in the roof. The reason why was because there was no hole. The beam didn't hit any rooftop, it hit an area that was near Ansems Study. But it appeared that the young boy didn't know this and was now far from where he was supposed to be.
Elsewhere Cloud had decided to leave Leon alone with the masked creatures and head towards the castle himself. Leon seemed more than capable to handle these things on his own, (despite the fact that three seconds ago he looked as though he was dying from an unknown cause) performing some fancy and rather unnecessary moves, Leon dashed for one of the masked creatures that had reappeared in a random spot. The masked creature stood there not showing any signs of moving out of harms way. Instead it lifted up its mask and let out an enormous scream towards Leon who was headed towards it with an impressive velocity. Their distance wasn't very far from each other which would give Leon some trouble in figuring out a way to evade such a close range attack. Unless he could pull of another ridiculously insane maneuver once more. If he did manage to pull another one off, what then? The possibility that he would end up being attacked once more right after that was high, it would seem.
Lozs quick thinking and quick moves caught the masked creature off guard. It had no time to even attempt a counter strike as it was flung into the large beam that had been blocking their path. In an instant, the creature was no more. The beam had completely disintegrated it. There was only one masked creature left there who had been continuously beating the crap out of Yazoo this entire time. It did not take time to notice that the other two masked creatures had been destroyed, it just went on with what it was doing.
Cid had arrived just seconds after the masked creature had thrown the unconscious victim into the white portal. Just a little too late was he. But he wasn't too late to stop it from kicking Tifa in the stomach. And as he swung his spear Cid managed to pierce it, but managed to only land a small scratch. The masked creature jumped backwards and landed on the edge of the bed. Forming just an inch behind it, was another white portal but one that was just big enough for one to enter it. The masked creature tilted its head to the side before it leaned backwards and fell into the white portal head first. The masked creature vanished into the portal and before either Tifa or Cid could get to it, it vanished.
[Four turns left]

Well if that worked out as well as it seemed to be so far there would be one less stranger to deal with. How fortunate that this one had behaved so predictably for once. If it lifted its mask then Leon could expect another sonic scream attack, which also meant the thing would be standing there to attack him instead of evading. That was a prime opportunity to blow its head clean off with No Mercy's normal firing speed and explosive force amplified by Leon's "impressive velocity" when firing it. Their distance wasn't very far from each other either which would give the stranger just about zero time to actually get the mask out of the way and scream before it reached its face. Or maybe it would surprise the reaction-based fighter and escape this as well just to attack him from another angle. When you react to the world at the fastest possible speed that can be achieved by any living or non-living being like Squall could your trained instincts tended to have time to unconsciously imagine more possibilities.
Sadly Leon had to be sacrificing to gain the edge he was trying for since they were fighting in a relatively narrow path to begin with. This caused the warrior to have to break his own force against the rock wall, but at least he might still have the thing's body to use as a cushion. Even if not(Maybe it'd just disintegrate immediately or maybe it hadn't gotten hit at all or just survived and would be out of the way) anything was worth it to save his home and that was all he cared about right now. Considering the pain he was in not long before this the crash didn't seem like it was going to hurt much in comparison. Not to mention that if No Mercy didn't finish the job on it then that would be a chance to cleave it in half at least.
Speaking of which, Leon was starting to glean more insight into that pain he still felt at a lower level since Cloud's arrival. The swordsman had expected it to worsen from physical exertion but his extravagant stunt hadn't caused any stronger reaction. No change at all in fact. Whatever he felt must have been something entirely non-physical. Not that he had any time to really think about that right now, but he'd probably notice it later if he had the chance to think back. After all, once this was over Squall was really going to need to figure out what the heck was wrong with him. That was one more clue. At least he could still fight right now with willpower since his body itself wasn't being directly crippled and the pain continued to be less intense than when it had first struck. He'd certainly put his heart into getting back to the fight for the Radiant Garden so these things wouldn't find him too handicapped quite yet if they were expecting anything more.
For now a pair of No Mercies were going to be flying at each of the other two strangers unless something was otherwise preoccupying the single-minded warrior at the time.

[ Remaking my post due to being informed that Yazoo won't be rejoining us in here, at least for now. Permission to partially control character to keep the thread moving along has been acquired. ]
As Kadaj landed on the ground he saw Loz throw another of the interfering fools into the beam. Honestly, the brothers couldn't care less what they were doing on this world so why did they bar them from entering the town? It didn't matter either way because no reason was good enough to get between them and their mother.
The attack on Yazoo continued as well, as the masked being through fast attacks and kept the longest-haired of the three off-balance and stumbling back. Of course both of his siblings would find such a sight off due to the fact that, while not sharing Loz's sheer toughness, Yazoo was more or less as fast as most would ever hope to be. Even if caught to begin with why stay locked in a losing melee?
The answer of course being that Yazoo had come to the same conclusion Loz had about these things and their apparent indestructibility. Throw them into their own beam and see if that worked. The prolonged attack on Yazoo meant that he and the masked man inched ever closer to said energy pillar. Before they got too close the silver-haired gunman's right leg and two arms became nigh-instantaneous wave pattern blurs in the small space between him and the opponent, the lower to sweep the thing's feet while the high turned with his upper body to grab and throw the enemy. Super strength Yazoo didn't have, but the extreme speed his body whipped around to toss the creature more than made up for it to get it across the necessary distance. Yazoo knew these things couldn't be allowed to separate them from Mother's needs any longer so they had to win.
Kadaj, in the meantime, had determined Yazoo's intent from the display seen and had put his weapon away. The youngest brother was walking towards Yazoo's bike and would get on it unless he was needed in the fray again, as his own was now gone.

[Yami there are so many things wrong with that last post of yours I can't even begin to start. Props for your effort and figuring out where I was talking about. But how the hell would Cloud know exactly where it was. The Room of Sleep wasn't exactly something that was well known by everyone even though I had written that there is a huge hole in the ground where it is now. Plus saying that there were no interruptions along your speedy travel is not up to you. This complete knowledge of the castle and it's weakness doesn't seem like something Cloud would just know. If anything Leon and Cid would probably be the only two who MIGHT know about the Room of Sleep. This is borderline Metagaming in my opinion, unless you or anyone else can come up with valid excuses for your post. If not you'll need to edit the crap out of that post. I strongly suggest deleting that one and post after me. If you do that then I won't count this post as a turn.]
It seemed that Yazoo had been stalling time in order to get the masked creature close enough to the beam behind him. In one flawless move Yazoo quickly ended the masked creatures attack and threw it into the beam where it was instantly disintegrated. This caused the beam to expand some two feet before finally shrinking into nothing. The beam was gone leaving nothing but a deep crater in the ground.
Leons assumptions were right but his perception of the distance between the two were all off. Sure they weren't that far from each other but it was enough for it to simply pull back a mask and scream even with Leons increased speed towards it. The attack progressed as he fired his gunblade at it. The sheer force from the sonic wave would slow the bullets down eventually stopping them dead in their tracks. As for Leon, he would be hit full force by the wave as he came closer and closer to the masked creature.
Meanwhile Cloud had flown past the Postern and now entered the castles Corridors. The maze of a room would be no trouble for the "SOLDIER" to get through but what was waiting at the end of the room would. Standing in front of the door that led to Ansems Study Room was the voluptuous woman in the black and yellow striped skirt. She giggled upon seeing the arrival of Cloud. "Well aren't you cute. Are you here for little ol' me?"

(OOC: Sorry about the long delay on my getting back to this.)
Some kind of overgrown elevator shaft, he reasoned. An elevator shaft ringed with walkways and fenced with energy walls.
"Well now, this is different!" Kassom whistled in surprise.
<<Focus, kid. Remember what that woman said -- time isn't on our side today. Keep moving.>>
Keep moving indeed... the only problem being which way. Kassom puzzled over that for a minute. This place was full of the humm and clatter of machinery, so he couldn't rely on his senses to guide him...
... or maybe he could. Curious thing about long tunnels and elevator shafts: sounds that reach tend to echo for quite a distance in them before fading. Kassom's ears twitched, his highly attuned feline hearing catching the violent crash and slam of someone cutting a path far below. A grin came over him briefly as liquefied metal washed across his body.
Down. He needed to go down.
It was extremely convenient that there was so much metal in this place; it would make getting around a cinch. With Ilaelis now fully in control, the feral rogue placed one hand on the Lift Stop floor... and fell through it like it was water. One hand still held the spot he'd touched, which under his influence warped and distended to become a long metal wire -- he was effectively "bungie jumping" from one Lift Stop terrace to the ones below it, repeating the pattern as rapidly as he was able without going into uncontrolled free fall. At this rate he'd reach the shaft's bottom in minutes. From there, all he'd have to do is follow his ears.
