The large white portal pulsed in space. It was in the middle of a large field of obstacles, floating randomly around it, forming an ever-shifting obstacle course. There were several paths that looked promising; but half of them would close randomly and others opened up. Primary: Get to the portal! Secondary: Interfere with your opponents! ((Here are the rules: You have to approach on Gummi Ship. Your ship also cannot be completely overpowered; You have a choice between four small cannons, two medium cannons, one large cannon, or any combination thereof. Two small cannons are worth one medium cannon. Alternatively, you could substitute cannons for lasers, which are homing but weaker, or impact gummis, which are far more powerful. The same combination rules apply, and you can mix and match lasers, cannons, and impact gummis. I'll be interfering with obstacles randomly. No posting order; I'll interrupt when I feel like it.))

((Because Kashew asked me to clarify better, since I was tired when I typed up the Gummi explanation:
You can have up to 12 weapons on your ship. Four of these can be cannon-type, four of these can be laser-type, and four of these can be impact-type. A medium gummi takes up two parts, and a large takes up four. You cannot substitute a laser for a cannon, or anything like that, so you couldn't come in with 3 large cannons and nothing else.))

It’d been a long two weeks of earning his new found way of getting from planet to planet, working in a Black-Smiths working under the fiery hot flames of the furnace making weapons, he’d eventually earn enough munny to buy something known as a Gummi Ship. He was glad when he saw the fruits of his hard labour, a streamlined ship painted black with red stripes going from the front of the ship to the back of the ship near its engines, it was also armed with two medium cannons, four small lasers and a large impact weapon system, as well as a book titled... Gummi Ship Piloting (For Dummies) After a rather short 6 hour training course of reading the book and attempting to pilot the ship he’d eventually got the hang of flying a Gummi ship, he’d even learned that the pesky button he kept pressing to blast off wasn’t the ignition key but rather the emergency ejection system; he’d realised this however without the reading book, rather by the fact he was flying through the air for a good couple of seconds after pressing it. However that was the past, not very long ago but still. He was here now, in space piloting his newly earned ship. As for the present? He’d heard rumours of treasure apparently hidden within a white portal in the depths of space that was his destination, without any leads he was just drifting through the space, occasionally changing direction to dodge incoming space debris.

How long has it been since I've been in one of these things? For Lance it's been too long, what he could remember was how his master showed him what these gummi ships were, and just showed him the basic controls. Of course that was probably 4 - 5 years back. And he was pretty sure they didn't have any of the new stuff on here like this impact gummi, whatever that is. I'm pretty sure I'll figure it out later right now I've got to make sure everythings work in order. Going through an entire in-flight. Looking at the pilot screen he began checking everything. Cannons... the two small cannons were working, the medium looked fine. Check one. Lasers... a little bit of a warm-up for these medium but other than that they looked good, what about the lock-on? Crisp and quick. Check two. Impact? They looked fine. Don't really know what to do with four of these small little things. Wish I had a little help menu in here. Be so much easier to know what they do. Anyways Check three. Steering? Taking the stick, he started to sway the ship a little to the right then to the left. Check four Accelaration? He throttled a bit to test the change in speed. Okay its fine, Check five. Now he knows he's good, and ready to get this "treasure" but first he would need to find a way to safely get through the ever changing obstacles first. Sigh... Elclair please protect me.

Anduras came out of hyperspace in a pure black ship. He had two cannons, two lasers, and two slashers. And to make things even nicer, he was the only one who could fit in the cockpit. Talk about having a nice quiet flight. If he wanted to talk (and he rarely did) he would have to talk to himself. He wouldn't need any operator's manuals or anything like that, he trained to fly these ships for years before he actually got his own. And if it wrecked, he'd just get a new one. He began flying toward a large white portal. He figured he wouldn't be the only one, and that the flight there would not only be a longer one, but more dangerous than some of his others.

"Stupid nanocarbons...stupid stupid stupid!" said the moogle. His white lab coat was covered in random areas of black and blue. It was merely the sign of another failed experiment. The moogle sighed as he let his head hang down. He was standing in the middle of a small room, a small moogle-sized table with matching beakers before him. To his left, there was an electronic door. Above that, a speaker.
"ALERT. NEARING DESTINATION. OTHER SHIPS ARE WITHIN RADAR RANGE." The speaker squawked. It's loud, electronic voice barely phased the moogle as he walked toward the cockpit of his ship. The door opened, a fresh swoosh hitting him the face.
As Zelu came past the door, he could feel his jetpack slowly lifting him into the center of the new spherical room. The walls of this room were very unique. Instead of being painted a strange color of some sort for viewing pleasure, these cockpit barriers functioned as the cockpit itself. Every inch of the room showed the space around the gummi ship, giving the moogle scientist a complete view of the space around him, no blindspots.
About a thee feet in front of Zelu, about his chest level, was a holographic green sphere which showed several flashing dots as well as one large solid red dot in the middle. The flashing dots were the radar, the red dot was the ship.
"Computer, list all available weapons." This wasn't the first fight this moogle had been in, and funding for repairs was a little low.
"Two Medium Canons One Large Slash Gummi Four Small Lasers "
...You've got to be kidding me. "Computer, is that all weapons?"

Vexen was not amused.
A massive, swirling mass of white light had appeared amongst a field of asteroids had appeared, in what may as well be the middle of nowhere.
Obviously of importance. Immediately, the Organization had it's top scholar on the job.
The problem was, though, that the object in question seemed to have a strange aura about it... a resonating shield, almost, that prevented teleporting of any kind.
With only a small amount of time to make and prepare a mode of transportation, Vexen had to scramble to scrounge up the necessary parts to create a functioning Gummi Ship. Something he didn't enjoy in the slightest. After all, when was the last time any of them had to resort to such mediocre means of travel?
It was... belittling.
Therefore, Member IV of Organization XIII was not especially happy with the current... awkward... situation. It certainly accounted for the slowly rising upper lip on the academic's face as he thought back to the actual building of the vehicle.
Regardless...
The end result was a mish-mash of various Gummis left around the Castle. While a good portion of it was made of relatively advanced technology, the thing was far too small to serve as a proper impression of the Organization. It's mish mash of color, including gashes of black and streams of faded blue, certainly didn't provide the same imposing stature that other such machines of the Organization provided.
Hardly anyone would notice it belonged to the Organization at all, even. The only reason Vexen was allowed to further the project was on the grounds that such a vehicle, not synonymous and easily identifiable as Nobody-made, might come in handy for more covert operations, or safer transport for prisoners and the like.
Finally, the ship had been fully prepared. Eyeing his work, Vexen couldn't be proud of it... but it certainly would have to do, given absolutely no one else had bothered to help him construct it. It certainly said something about the respect-- or, rather, lack thereof!-- for higher ranking members in the Organization. Something that would need fixing, eventually.
Now, in the midst of the aforementioned field, the Chilly Academic found himself going alone into the mass of floating rock.
But not without caution and proper safety measures in place.
Vexen's calculating eye skimmed across the data presenting itself to him.
And promptly had him raising an eyebrow.
A portal? Fascinating... And yet, the question remains. What purpose does it serve? And can it be... repurposed?
...wait, what's this?
Dragging a finger across the intuitive interface, Vexen brought a new alert down and into view.
Well, how about that....
This just became much, much, more interesting...
In a flash, Vexen's arm was hovering over the small box set aside from the main controls.
One button, bright yellow, was for Comm systems. The other, a dark and shady maroon, for weapons.
With only a single large canon, four small lasers complimenting the perimeter, and some last minute blast shields that could serve well for charging at any meteors in the way, Vexen wouldn't find a fight to be an easy one. Better to have them think him an ally, and dispatch of any opposers upon reaching the portal's end destination.
But that would depend on the others. Let them act first, he decided. I shall plan accordingly.

((Those of you that aren't pulled out or gone, POST. Srsly. Go at it. I'm not gonna be posting often, and you don't need to wait for everyone to post.
By the way, that list is only Darren, Rocket, and Twi. Kashew is gone, and both Angy and High have dropped out.))

OOC: Well I'm back so I'll try to continue it...
He slow made his way towards the obstacles, when on the radar appeared three dots, Man this radar stinks. It was hard to tell if these dots would be friend or foe, but right now, the only thing to worry is getting through the field. So with that in mind he pushed the throttled and ready himself for the worst. Hope I don't cramp up on the trigger finger.

Alternatively, the rest of them could all be rather slow to do anything at all.
Quickly, though not adeptly, avoiding an incoming block of what might very well be an asteroid, Vexen decided now was the time to take the initiative.
Blasting forward, the Organization member started for the swirling mass of white, regardless of his allies or opponents.
He kept his eyes on the main view at all times, giving him a complete readout of the surrounding area.
Seems there are less ships then he'd first thought. The blasted system must be having issues with the meteoric interferences.
The Nobody gritted his teeth as he again remembered being the sole member concerned with this portal.
Forward, then. Let then do what they will.

He gritted his teeth as the force of the engines propelling the Gummi sent him flying back into the seat of his ship. He managed to gain control and avoid a piece of space debris that could of smashed into the ship and do some damage.
He let out a sigh of releif as he set the ship's travel co-ordinates to the white vortex that was in the distance, he smiled as he saw two other ships fly towards it was well.
"Well... I guess I'm not the only one who'se interested" He said with a slight smile as his ship blasted towards the portal.

"DOWN! DOWN, BLAST IT, DOWN!" shouted the chilly academic as he very nearly slapped the confounded piece of machinery!
Straight ahead was a rather large meteor, hurtling in Vexen's general direction.
The ridiculous mass of huddled technology just wasn't capable of making a steep turn such as that, though! Seething, Vexen rattled his ever so large brain for alternatives.
Weapons. I have weapons.
...why do I need to remind myself of such things?
Slamming his fist down on the dark red button, Vexen immediately barked out at the computer a series of complicated orders.
"Computer, send this ship backwards and down, now. If any other meteors or ships come in range while flying blind, blast them out of the way!"
Come now, portal... why not see less of these meteoric distractions, hmm? Vanish them, mayhaps? Sitting back, and sighing heavily, Vexen rubbed his forehead as he thought on.
He wasn't making much progress at all. Progress, yes, but not much.
Again, his mind strayed to the Comm systems... and again, he decided against it. The fewer people involved, the better. he decided.

As Lance made his way into the field, he almost hit a meteor. But considering the matter that he did have his finger on the trigger, he started shooting the meteor into smaller ones, with the cannons, then locking on the smaller ones destroyed them with his laser. Well this isn't as bad as I thought. The worst thing about it is the fact that he lose sight the dots on his radar when he entered the field, so that was bad. However through a little window Lance could see the white portal, so all he really need to do now was reach it with getting killed in the process. No biggie... or maybe not. As Lance was making his way through the tunnel, a large meteor came out of nowhere blocking his path. Acting quickly to make sure he didn't crash into it, he pulled on the lever going into an upward climb along side the meteor. Looking all around him there was no way to get passed the meteor. Then just a few feet or yards away there appeared to be a hole in the meteor that was, maybe big enough for a gummi ship to go through. Alright lets see if I can fit. Throttling the ship a little faster he reached the hole and slipped in. Now it was dark, but turning on the lights Lance could see that most of the tunnel was barren. Guess it's smooth sailing... for now.

Sighing, and incredibly frustrated, Vexen continued the uphill struggle with the awkward landscape. Moving along at a decidedly even pace, Vexen's ship had gone on the offensive and was merely attempting to balst any and all obtrusions. Failing that, it went around.
Looking up to the monitor yet again, Vexen looked to see how well he and the others in the area were doing...
[ Pryth? Can we move a liiiitle faster? Please? ]

With no ships seeming to pose a thread, Zelu continued to maneuver his ship as normal, heading toward the blinding white portal. Static could be heard within his small cockpit, for it was picking up a radio signal.
Zelu chuckled a little bit. He was nearing the portal. "Computer, dispense equipment." A jetpack, armed with Zelu's custom canon, was sent out of the hatch he had just came out of. He strapped it on, reading for docking inside the portal, should there be a solid surface.
