Okay, this is a crappy topic as Avenger and I both know, but it is needed....


We need more Staff, even if only for the Plot, maybe the Character acceptance area (Especialy the Canons).


If you would be so kind as to read the Plot threads, you'll see that the World Takeover stuff has a lot going on with it. Not only the Warrior thread that will happen, but also the Real Canon Antiform Boss thread, the Artificial Antiform thread, and the Husks invading Open threads.


We are having trouble finishing 4 threads that are going on at the moment, this will certainly kill some of us...


So, as much as I hate this (More people = higher chance of plot leaking...), we need to think about pulling more people in.



Now, I have my own suggestions ready ^_^

Bilby - Extremely active, hell he even claims he will be the last member to leave the board lol, and he is very good with the rules, hell he's teaching Xemnas what he's doing wrong in his own thread lol Plus, he pays attention to Canon activities (he noticed that Xemnas is trying to do a godmod in a thread).


Demyx - Extremely popular and knows how to shut people up >.> lol Has a cool head and tries to make everyone happy, but knows that when he can't to try and get them to deal with it. Plus he knows bits of the plot already.


Ici - While there have been a few problems here and there with her tempre (Mostly with Zero and Xemnas, 2 people who a LOT of people have problems with), she is widely liked and knows the rules pretty well. The only problem I really see is her getting respect from some of the more "dominate" males (Zero, Xemnas, Tyke for examples).


Bailee - Very popular and basically on level with Ici, save her problems come from her lack of aggressiveness (Which could be a good thing as well as a bad thing).




Demyx is my main choice, followed closely by Bilby. Ici and Baillee are just about tied for 3rd, but I'm happy with any of the 4 really.



So, any thoughts on this idea? If you like it, do you have any preferences as to who you think should be brought in?

Basically:

Do you think we should bring more people onto Staff?

Should we bring them in on just the Plot stuff, just Character Acceptance, or maybe both? (Since obviosuly becoming even a basic Moderator requires a couple months of working as a Character Mod lol)

Who do you think would do well?

1. Yes. I've experienced the back-log myself in the canon area. I've seen even more people complain about character checks taking too long.

2. I think for now just Character Acceptance. We're ok on the plot for the most part, right? Of course, we could give them minor roles later if need be. You know, having them rp as the Husks would have been nice...

3. My first choice is Bilby. Why? Cause he's even been able to calm me down on a couple occasions. We pm each other a lot now, just to chat. I really like the guy. He's very level headed and intelligent. He's also very involved and has taken interest in wanting to be a character mod as well. He'd make a good mod I think. ^^

As for the other three, all good choices, but already they seem to be busy enough as is. I should know. I talk to them on a constant basis as well. Demyx and Bailee both work and have school I believe. Ici has school and hobbies on the side.

However, should you choose to hire all of them or three of them, perhaps they could pull it off since there would be more mods to do more work, which in turn makes less for them to do individually.

Having them post as the Husk Antiforms and the Artificial Antiforms would be nice....However, we would have to make Dawn and Dusk into Mods then so we could avoid having them able to get onto the Plot board.

Canon Boss Antiforms I want us to handle, or at least for now.

I think hiring 2 people might be a good idea for the whole "lessening the workload".

I was thinking...

Maybe we could hire Bilby and Demyx to help with the Plot (Husks and Artificials) and we could hire Ici and Bailee to help with the Characters?


Right now we have:
HA: Avenger
SA: None
GM: Wilder/Shadow
M: Red/Bounty(Which I honestly think should be moved to Plot >.<)
CM: Darkfire/Tyke
DT: Ashling
P: Dusk/Dawn/Antiform/Null


Now, in all honesty, while that looks like a lot, if you cut up all the different/same people and the plot-only stuff, plus activity, we have 6 staff, only 3 who are "All-Rounders" (AKA a part in the plot AND the daily stuff).

As much as it sucks, there is just TOO much going on this board to keep it at that. The plot needs direct attention, its already starting to die because people are starting to hate how long its taking, and yes, I realize this is our first open event, but the fact is, we should take precautions to make sure this doesn't happen again. Especially because its only going to get worse and busier than it is right now.

As far as character approval, we need more people for that because the people we have right now are...Well, Red is good, but Darkfire and Tyke? They only take care of the CSes like RIGHT before they get off, and I'm serious about that, 2 nights ago Tyke was on for 3 hours, it was during his last half hour on that he started posting to CSes. A new member actually posted 2 or 3 times in the CBOX asking about his CS, while Tyke was talking about the new KHs, and then about a half hour later (After the new member said "well, since there isn't anything to do here iwthout an approved character, i'll be back later"), Tyke FINALLY did some CSes.

We need more people.

At least 1 person for the Plot, and 1 for the CSes would be a good idea, but 2 for the Plot would be an EXCELLENT idea, and 2 for the CSes would be a very good idea.

Also, if we do hire someone for the plot, I will take care of explaining to them what to do and everything so you'd never have to worry about that...

The most you would have to do Avenger, is switch Dawn to GM instead of Plot so they couldn't read the admin board.

Why not just have Bilby be a CM and also take over the Husk account?

1st of all, the Antiform account is for ALL Antiform activity, Husk, all 4 Artificials, and the Canon Bosses, we'd simply be giving them the account and allowing them to use it for Husks/Artificials while we use the Canon Bosses.

2nd, like I said above, I don't think 1 person would be enough for the Plot stuff. Avenger, us FOUR people are having trouble posting as the Husks in 2 threads, when we start the World Takeover, we will have a MINIMUM of 4 topics to take care of....I honestly think we'll need at least 2 people to help with the Antiforms.

As far as being a CM and stuff, yeah, just 1 person will do.

We're having issues because we are having to do other things, including regular staff activities and other plot stuff. If we were to have a person to do most of the Husk stuff, it'd be okay.

Meh, the one problem I keep running into is that of the Admin Area >.<

Right now, only Plot, GM, and Admin member groups can get into the Admin Area (Discussion/Plot Area), so if we give someone (Not just Bilby) the Antiform account, which is a Plot member group, he'll be able to get into this board.


So here's the question, do we want him to know all that is going on? The only way I can figure out to prevent this would be to make Dawn an unofficial GM (AKA she has the GM member group, but doesn't get the same staff responsibilities).

Why not just make another Plot type? One that has access and one that doesn't?

May I request though, you should attempt to give me and Thaed the ability to change people's Member Group >.> That would make things a lot easier on you in the future.


Dusk/Dawn need to be in the "ABLE TO GET INTO HERE" member group.

Antiforms/Null Fair/Bounty heads need to be in the 'UNABLE TO GET IN HERE" plot member group.

Then just make Bilby a CM and I'll PM him about if he'd be willing to use the Antiforms for us and such, tell him what kind of stuff he would have to do, etc.
