The young man with the odd hair’s demonstration of ‘reflect’ had her sold on the idea of magic. With all the odd stuff that had been happening to her lately, not to mention what that shield woman had done, it seemed like the perfect easy answer. However, his description of the heartless she almost dismissed right off as a joke he was playing on them.

Except…his description of the small shadows was exactly what had chased her out of her house. That and the purple black…force that seemed to cover everything it touched. It left a cold feeling inside of her which was sure showed on her face; to understand that her own world had been covered in some sort of living darkness and destroyed. The only darkness she had ever encountered before had simply been the night, and even that at times terrified her.

Her focus on trying to understand this new idea of a malevolent ‘darkness’ caused her to glaze over the mention of Nobodies altogether. There would be more fear and panic later, when she had time to think alone and understand what it meant for a being to have it's heart stolen. For now, being in a well lit plave with there new nice people she had met allowed her to keep her cool. After all, this strange young man wasn’t panicking at the though…so why should she?

After a small time of silence she managed to answer him, though her voice was a bit off sounding from her shock “Um…yes. Thanks.” She really couldn’t even begin to think up any more questions, this much was already overloading her.

“I…guess my world is gone then.” It had been home, but Bailee could already feel it and her family fading from the here and now to that which has been. The thought of not having a safe place to hide from this ‘darkness’ and these ‘heartless’ which could destroy worlds was much more unnerving.

She looked up from the ground where her eyes had drifted to meet his. The thought of shyness had passed. “But, I didn’t come here from my world. I came to a place called Twilight Town first. I just got here, and I didn’t see any darkness where I left…which wasn’t an intentional leaving. I just tripped and….fell here.” She knew Selia didn’t have a ‘gummy ship’ or a portal, until a minute ago neither had even known that they existed.

"Okay then, the odds of your home world being destroyed isn't very likely. You say you tripped and 'fell' here? Sounds to me like a portal. But what do I know?"

Hayai turned from then and walked to the crowd.

"Can anyone here summon portals?" The young man surveyed the area, and noticed an old man step forward. He looked to be in his seventies, and had Gray hair. His back was hunched over and his skin was very wrinkly. It was hard to believe this old man was able to cast magic.

"I can, which world shall we go to?" The old man asked. Hayai closed his eyes to think. Then opened them.

"Beast's Castle." He said

The elder nodded, and opened a portal. The portal was about six feet tall, and four feet wide. It shined a radiant, white light. Hayai turned to Bailee and Selia with a smile.

"You will experience heartless first hand. I can't guarantee complete safety, but where would the fun be in that? You can choose to stay, or choose to follow."

With those words, Hayai walked into the portal, and was transported to Beast's Castle.

Final Post

Bailee didn’t want to be left on this world. This portal, which continued to stream out light, seemed to be the only way out. The idea of coming face to face with more of the heartless, however, was positively terrifying. She had barely escaped the last time and her own adrenalin filled screams were hard to shake from her mind’s ear. But if he was right then they weren’t safe anywhere. Safety, no matter what he had said, was her idea of fun.

She had always been safe, or at least she had thought she had been. In fact she had never suffered any serious injury in her life. She didn’t know how to deal with the heartless any other way than running from them. He, however, was now going to face them head on without seeming worry or thought. Bailee never thought she’d ever be able to do that.

Then again he knew magic, a new concept that was very alien to her and brought to mind wizards with long grey beards and pointy blue hats with stars on them. If she couldn’t be completely safe, she could probably be partially safe with this new young man who knew magic and her new fellow traveler Selia.

She looked over to Selia, then to the wizened old man (who looked like a proper wizard to her) who seemed to be waiting for them next to the portal. If strange haired man had been right she had traveled through portals before, though she knew not how, and the worst that had happened was arriving in a different place (a scary thought in it’s own). Almost holding her breath, with a glance to see if Selia was following, Bailee stepped through.
