Another husk charged at the young man, and began to swing it's massive arms in a wild frenzy. "These things are freaky." Hayai muttered under his breath, as he dodged each seperate attack. This was actually quite easy! Well, until a second husk lunged at him from behind. The following swipe might of cleaved off Hayai's entire head if the boy didn't duck. It wasn't as if the young man couldn't hear a beast charge toward him, was it? Remaining crouched, Hayai formed another bright sphere in his hand, whilst muttering "procella palma".
As soon as the small orb started to crack, releasing sparks of electricity, Hayai slammed it into the ground. The blast sent Hayai a few meters in the air, as it knocked the husks onto their backs. Wow, he sure seemed to be skilled at knocking these guys over. Hayai landed feet-first on the first husk's abdomen. Raising one foot, he sotmped down on the creature's face. He repeated the stomping process until he was sure the beast was dead.
By now the second beast was standing right in front of him. Hayai's first plan was to jump off the corpse of the first beast and kick said corpse into this next enemy; but he doubted he could actually move one of these things. So on to plan "b", which was merely to send a series of punches to the beast; and that he did. Hayai punched the husk twice in the abdomen, then right-hooked it in the jaw. The young man side-stepped to the right to avoid the beast's retaliation left0hand jab, and countered with his own. With that last punch, the beast took a few steps back.
It was odd, the battlefield once filled with screams and roars was now dead silent. Was the battle over? After hearing their screams, it was obviously not. Hayai took a single step back as the husk stabbed it's arms into the grass. What was going to happen next? It wasn't long before chunks of grass and earth was flying at him. Now was the perfect time for a defensive move. He stretched both of his arms in front of his body, parallel to the ground, "reflect!" He called out. A barrier formed around his body, and the flying rocks of death were bouncing off his shield, merely creating ripples in the silver barrier. After a single moment, the shiled retaliated, sending shining pellets in all the directions where the shield was struck from
As the barrier disappeared, Hayai took the few moments he had to examine his wounds. It seemed as the husks managed to get a lock of his hair. Then using the Procella Palma to propell himself into the air left him with minor scratches all across his body. It wasn't anything too serious though.
((That is what reflect does, right? Absorbs damage then sends pellets back at the enemy, right?))

As the first angel zoomed off to the sniper, who seemed to have sprouted wings as well, Khaiden gazed exasperatedly around, again. There were so many of those monsters... and did any of them actually know what they were? They didn't seem immune to magic, and required a bit of skill to defeat, but the boy was sure he could manage... as long as more didn't appear. Tens of creatures against only six of them? The odds were tipped perilously against them.
He thought far too much in the midst of a battle, really. Though these thoughts were snapped painfully out of his mind as the clash of the fighting ceased: the silence seemed to ring in his ears. Khaiden refocused and, to his mild dismay, saw that the monsters were still there: not that he really expected them to be defeated that easily while he daydreamed, without himself being attacked. The moment of tension vanished as soon as one of the monsters let out an ear-piercing shriek, stunning him into complete concentration after the silence. Soon enough, they all followed suit, and suddenly their arms were swinging every which way, carving a path of destruction wherever they swung. Pristine white bricks from the castle whistled past his head as the leaves of the topiary were fluttering like confetti over the whole battlefield, and the drool sinking into the grass underfoot wasn't making it any easier.
Gritting his teeth, he loaded several more bolts on his crossbow and fired them at the enraged creatures, though he knew his lack of skill, magic and an appropriate weapon were putting him at a major handicap, and long had he begun to feel the strain. It was a depressing thought, but his young age, with probably not far as much experience as the others, would not allow him to continue like this much longer. He'd only managed to kill one of the things!
Well.. whatever. He might as well do what he could, no point standing around any longer! And with a cry, which came out sounding far more childlike than he intended, he launched back towards one of the Husks, aiming to slash at something, anything.
[short, sorry. Sorry for the long wait, too!]

[If Shrew and Cheese do not post by the end of this thread, they will be considered dead. They should technically be dead already, but whatev.]
Amidst the flying rubble, many Husks leapt into the sky, sending what little grass was left up into the air. Before long, their pale purple bodies rained down upon the fighters, gorring and scratching at them with their long claws and spikes and teeth. Unfortunately, a few in the group were slammed into the wall by large chunks of earth, being hit by the mass Husk throwing attack. But, there was enough left over to still attack the people successfully.
Unknown to all of the fighters, one Husk dug beneath the ground. It tunnelled about randomly. Eventually, two long claws shot up from the earth and went to clamp together Hayai in his tracks. Successful or not, the claws would be pulled back under the earth. But, if Hayai was in its grasp, he was certainly going to be eaten.
Another Husk used its limb extension ability to extend its neck at high speeds. Within seconds, this Husk's jaws would be snapping and tearing at a fighter or two.

The young man was panting, using every spare second to regain himself. His arms dangled to the side, his eyes scanning the battlefield. The violence, the killing, the entire area was now war-torn and destroyed. Hayai brought his hand up to brush a few hairs back into their place. The two angels seemed to be conversing with each other, and another fighter was busy firing several arrows at the beasts. But then what about the other two fighters? Hayai couldn't locate them anywhere; have they been killed already?
Suddenly, the creatures did another action in unison; they all leapt into the air. Were they retreating? The pale, purple creatures then fell back to the ground, flailing their arms and legs in an attempt. When Hayai was about to use another reflect spell, he could feel slight vibrations from the ground travel up his legs. Was there an earthquake? Two long, pale arms shot up from the ground adjacent to Hayai, and clamped onto his arms and torso.
Aside from the intense pain of the monster like hands digging into his flesh, Hayai felt an odd sensation. As quickly as the beast had grabbed him, a faint aura outlined his body. The aura was orange, with a faded look to it; not only that, but the "stripes" that were scattered across his arms and face had increased in size. Were these all for show? No. Hayai's demonic transformation ability had just kicked in, and it would of endowed him with a great increase both in strength and speed.
Using his newfound strength to his advantage, Hayai pushed his arms outward, loosening the beasts; then leaped forward. Turning his head back, he watched as the beast's arms receded back into the ground. ” Wow, that thing would of killed me unless this 'transformation' hadn't of kicked in," he thought. Luckily, none of the husks had landed on top of him, but one had landed right in front of him. Hayai brought both forearms up to protect his head and chest when the beast lashed it's claw forward, and as a result, the young man's arms received multiple lacerations.
Hayai retaliated the series of slashes with a single punch. Thanks to his temporarily enhanced strength, the blow more than toppled it over, it actually sent the beast flying backward a few meters! Not checking to see if he had killed it, Hayai once again check the damage on his body.
His shirt had holes with the edges lightly stained with blood from the husk's nails digging into his skin. He then had multiple cuts and bruises on his left and right forearm from defending against the might beasts.
((Turns until Transformation ends: 5))

[okay sorry for not bein on......school and other stuff.....anyway the lactose is back!!! but this is gonna be a short post sorry...]
Once the creatures started destroying the buildings and ground around him, Sorant was luckily knocked away from some pieces of stone that were being flung about by the white creatures. He had been hit by a creature that he was standing next to and was sent flying into a wall. Before he even had a chance to hit it a husk had started to break apart that section of the wall. Sorant hit the husk and the force of his body sent them both through the wall to a safer side. It took him a few seconds to get oriented and figure out what had exactly happened.
Okay first he was hopping on heads, check. Then he was punching at his enemies while trying to get his amulet back, check. Now he was suddenly away from the battle laying on something hard and sharp. Sitting up he reached for whatever it was and felt his amulet lying on the ground. He grasped it firmly and smiled a bit. That was before the giant piece of stone cam hurtling at him through the hole.
Reacting on instinct he crouched and rolled to the left, narrowly missing being a death sandwhich. But unluckily the husk that was recovering it's sense was crushed by the oncoming stone. He heard a sickening crunch and just turned away a bit unsatisfied that he wasn't ablye to take it out. Oh well, now he had to work on surviving the onslaught. Looking back to the gardens he saw that many husks were already breaking holes into the castle's walls and soon the walls around the garden would collapse. Perhaps collapsing inward and killing all those in the gardens or worse, bringing the entire castle down killing everyone in it.
Sorant saught to stop this and went to jump through a hole only to stumble to one knee. He grabbed at his chest and felt a softness there that lead to sharp pain. He guessed that he had at least two broken ribs from the hit and he didn't want to think about what happened to his spine. To sum it all up, he was a walking injury. Or something like that. He breathed deeply and let it out. He felt a bit of pain but it was subsiding faster now. He plucked up his amulet and turned it into a spiked ball and chain. He planned to knock the creatures to the ground so that the others could keep them from destroying the castle.
He hurried, if hobbling at a fast pace could be called hurrying, to the nearest hole and swung his spiked weapon as hard as he could. He didn't wait to see if his blow did any damage only if it caused that creatures to fall, then he moved on to the next one.

As the debris of the raging attack flew through the battlefield, Khaiden was forced to stop in his tracks as one of the creatures rushed towards him from the sky, and, in a panic, leapt to the side and swung his weapon around in a wide arc, aiming to sever off at least one of the legs. Unfortunately, he completely missed, and now had a white monster spitting furiously at him. It would strike any minute...
Beginning to feel sick, he had no choice but to take the risk. Deftly hooking another bolt in his weapon by his side, the boy held it there, impatiently waiting for it to charge again, knowing that the Husk was not a patient thing, and had no mind for tactic. Just two more seconds... One. Two... And then with a cry which was more panic-stricken than a warrior's brave holler, Khaiden flicked up the crossbow and released the bolt at full speed, the metal tip angling up through the roof of the creature's mouth even as it leapt up into the air to tear him to pieces. It shot right through, and the Husk fell in a crumpled heap on the once-grassy dirt, sending up billows of dust into the boy's face.
His face red with exertion and the tight encounter, Khaiden coughed and blinked out the dust from his watering eyes, and after a few moments of confusion, promptly went to locate one of the others in the party. He could see one of them in the clasps of one of the monsters, but he seemed to have it under control and he didn't particularly want to interfere (even as heartless as that sounded), and another had just climbed out of a hole in the castle walls, and was proceeding to hurry stiltedly around, swinging his weapon as he went. He'd do.
Continuing to duck the crashing blocks of castle wall around him, and weaving his way around the corpses of the battlefield, Khaiden made his way towards that one person who seemed to be injured... he needed to ask a few questions. Hurrying his pace and drawing level with him, keeping a steady grip on his weapon, the boy coughed the last remains of dust from his throat, and spoke. "Hey... uhh... sorry if you're busy, but would you happen to know what these things we're fighting are?"
It sounded more like he was inquiring about something at one of those air-conditioned, quiet reception areas covered with pink flowers, rather than barking questions at a stranger in the middle of a battle. He poorly lacked social skills, that boy...

Watching as a few of the creatures leapt up into the air, Finiero kept his focus on the creatures that were currently trying to attack him. One came in from the left, so he quickly slid to the side and slashed its head off. Another came in from the right, so he dropped down to the ground, narrowly avoiding a claw in the chest, and kicked out with all the strength he could muster. The creature went flying toward the wall not too far away, smashing against it and barely managing to live. Cursing under his breath for the idiotic mistake he had made in not killing the creature, he looked to the strange angel at his side, trying to see if there was any reaction from him yet.
But there was none.
All that the strange angel was doing was keeping that shield up and watching the destruction unfold in front of him. Finiero wanted to smack him for just standing there, but there was nothing he could do. All that the part-angel could do was continue to fend off the creatures and hope that they didn't overwhelm him. Looking out upon the battle field, he could see that a few of the other fighters could probably use some help...but why bother? If they weren't strong enough to defend themselves, they shouldn't have tried to take the creatures on. Finiero held absolutely no pity for them, and he certainly knew that he wouldn't be helping them any time soon. They better be able to hold their own...If they die, and I am forced to take all of these creatures on my own, I will be quite mad...
Hearing a strange noise coming from above, Finiero turned his golden gaze toward the sky and saw one of the creatures coming down upon him. His eyes widened to show a shocked expression as the claws and teeth began to rain down from above. Finiero instantly raised his sword up horizontally to fend off any blows he could. The claws of the creature caught on the sword, but the teeth didn't. The creature's head went past the sword and bit down into Finiero's shoulder. Wincing in pain, Finiero shifted his weight and moved his shoulder forward, causing the creature to be flung down into the ground. Divine Light rose in a flash of light, and came down hard upon the head of the creature. It wasn't alive long enough to react in any way. Damnit. I was careless in my actions...
Looking over at his wounded shoulder, he saw that the armor he was wearing took the bulk of the damage, leaving quite the dent in his armor. He was still bleeding a bit, but not nearly as much as he would've expected. Before he could even notice anything else, another of the creatures was coming down from the sky. Not wanting to make the same mistake, Finiero let his wings shoot out and flap hard against the ground. He instantly took off into the air, dodging to the side just as the claws and teeth of the creature were about to attack him. Looking back at the other angel creature still in the corner, Finiero let his emotionless gaze stare deep into the other's eyes. "Fair hunting to you."
Continuing his flight into the air, Finiero had to dodge past many rocks and debris that had been sent up into the air. A quick dodge to the right, a quick slash to the left, and he had made it out of the area of immediate danger. Now he had to deal with the creatures that had launched themselves into the air. Making sure there was no creature on the ground directly under him to take him by surprise, he turned his attention to those flying at him, still keeping some attention to the ground. Divine Light spun around once or twice in the air, leaving streaks of light in its wake. Quickly dodging to the left as one of the creatures tried to attack, Finiero held his sword at the ready, prepared to attack any creatures who came. "Come. I am waiting."

The creatures screamed and howled loudly, flailing their arms wildly, kicking, screaming, scratching, slashing, grasping, hundreds of different attempts to attack the survivors who were so close, yet so far.
Yet their screams were different, louder, deeper, roaring in what could only be described as pain, shrilling through the air, even those who were not under attack by the warriors within.
Atop the castle walls, the Husks screamed loudly, roaring with all their might as they suddenly collapsed, falling off the side and landing with a hard crash onto the hard ground. Those crawling within the walls scrambled madly for their victims, wanting their blood, their flesh, their hearts, their energy! But to no avail, every movement caused the next to come slower and slower…
Finally the noise began to die down, the strange monsters moving barely at all, only their eyes weaving back and forth, their silvery bodies stopping, their eyes dulling, dimming, until slowly they faded into black.
The last creature moving, red blood fresh on its body, screamed one last cry and thrust out its arm, extending it to the closest fighter, but before it could reach their throat, the arm detached itself, falling to the ground and clattering. Its scream rang into the air, but only lasted a brief second before it too ended…
All around Disney Castle the beasts had stopped, some of them broken into pieces, some simply laying upon the ground, all motionless. As people moved to the monsters, checking to see if they were truly safe, their hopes were confirmed. Upon touching them, the beasts broke apart easily, dry and crisp, easily snapped with minimal pressure.
The raid had ended, the Husks had finally been defeated.
But how?
