Okay, this is going to be kinda complicated, but I think it is a really good idea, ESPECIALLY since SilverSora thought of it too (Though not as detailed as what I've been).
To start this off, every KeyBlade and LockShield has a certain amount of Light and Shadow within it.
For example, the Crossroad Paths have:
Light: 100% Light, 0 Shadow.
Dawn: 75% Light, 25% Shadow.
Dusk: 25% Light, 75% Shadow
Shadow: 0% Light, 100% Shadow
They are the PURE versions, they are balanced, they are coordinated, they are stable.
*ALL* other KBs and LSes are unbalanced, are chaotic, are unstable, are fluctuating, and thus, they are Tainted.
Now, onto my idea...
What if whenever someone asks for a KB or LS, we ask them for a random number between 0 and 100 that isn't 0/25/50/75/100?
That number would then be their amount of Light or Shadow, depending on if they are evil or good.
"Well what does this all do?"
Simple.
Person A has a KeyBlade with 60% Light, 40% Shadow.
Person B has a LockShield with 40% Light, 60% Shadow.
When they meet, something happens.
"Well, what's that something?"
That...I don't know...
We could have it open a pathway into the Dark Realm is the main thing I'm thinking about, but I'm open to suggestions.
