This is just a compilation of things like clichés and other things that we don’t want to see your characters with. The list will be expanded when staffs see fit.
Wings
Don’t make characters with them unless you have a very good reason. They’re pointless and stupid. We all know you want to be like Sephiroth, but he isn’t all that special. Wings or not, you can only fly if you have a certain Equip anyway or if you use up an ability slot for it, so having Wings in our RP is pretty much only for appearances, which only makes it more lame.
Organization 13 Cloaks
No one should have the cloaks that Org 13 wore unless they’re canon. Ever. Wear one and die. If an Org 13 member gives you one IN RP, that is different.
X Name
Just because you’re a Nobody doesn’t mean that you have to have an X in your name. It is stupid. Makes your name rhyme with Xerox. Seriously.
Teleportation/Light Speed/Portals
Never will you be allowed to use either in battle. These are probably the most common and most godmod abilities out there. No matter what you do, you can’t move so quickly that you’re invisible, nor can you just suddenly appear in a certain area. Of course, this rule’s exception is transportation to other Worlds.
Tragic/Cliché History
Tragic history is fine…as long as it hasn’t been the same kind that is so overused. Cliché history is basically never okay. “My mom raped me. My dad hit me. I killed them both. Now I seek a real family, while searching for love and to be the best fighter ever.” Ugh.
Mary Sues/Gary Stues/Sues in general
Following up on the tragic/cliche history, any character that staffs considers as SUES will not be accepted [don't worry though, we'll help you make your character less Sue]. Mary Sues are characters without any flaw of any kind. Most of the time they have ridiculous names [Starglow, Flowerfire, Moonshine, etc.] and have tragic histories but is loved by EVERYONE. Unsure if your character is a Sue? Use the Universal Mary Sue test to find out. Chances are, if you do have a Sue, staffs will find it. We are willing to help you develop your character if you ask nicely though. We'll never allow a character like this.
Anthromorphs
Lots of people like to play them, but keep them limited or it is bye-bye. Canons are always an exception.
