Quests are what you take on when you enter an area/world with a QM (QM explained below) and maybe some other players. Depending on the Quest, it may be anything from simple monster beat-'em-up to a puzzle to month long adventure for various rewards upon completion.
Quests are simple to understand when you get the idea that the QM controls a lot of it (QM powers explained below). Keep in mind, their goals/style could be VERY different from one to another, it depends entirely on the creativity of your QM.
There is no easy way to explain a Quest. The easiest way to understand is to read another Quest, but even when you do, keep in mind that every QM has a different method to what they do.

Quest Masters are those who lead Quests, to be really vague.
Those who apply to become QMs and are recognized to be creative, have common sense, and are active are the ones who are accepted.
Any staff member of Admin or GMod status is also qualified as a QM by default.
QMs control when a monster appears, the actions of the monsters, whether or not an attack connects with a monster OR character, and the environment of the area. Basically, except for the actions of the players, they control everything. If you want to make it simple, they are God in the Quest, whatever they say goes; you basically just can control where your character moves and what it attacks or defends (or more, if specified by the QM).
To become a QM, you must audition; that is, lead a 'fake' Quest with 2 other players. Upon completion of the fake Quest, all participants will be given rewards. The QM-to-be is to then send a PM to Iris with a link to said QM. From there, it will be viewed and judged upon by the other QMs/staff.
A second way to become a QM is the would-be QM can be interviewed by a current QM and then the current QM(s) decide whether or not they become a QM, then inform Iris.
