Samuel is on his own side, which leans slightly towards good, although his methods are often questionable and purely inhumane at other times.

Character Personality:

Samuel doesn’t care for anyone but himself. Tired of being controlled, Damon will fight anyone who tries to influence him to do anything, good or bad, to the death. Wanting only to fit among humans, Samuel has a strange, but strangely accurate view of justice and of helping people. He gives people what they need instead of what they want. A pragmatic and very easily insulted and angered man, Samuel is regarded as a mysterious person, albeit he doesn’t quite at the part.

A socialistic person, Samuel likes to be among people and can usually make friends almost instantly and enemies even faster. Samuel can easily pass for a human until he fights. Even if the spectators don’t get the hint when they see his chains, his inhuman bloodlust and fury is a dead giveaway.

Weapon Name: Enkidu

Weapon Appearance:

Enkidu are chains that are summoned from any part of Damon’s body and can be controlled by his mind. The chains can vary in size, shape, length and color.

Abilities:

First Iron

Along with controling his Enkidu, Samuel has limited control over his metal, allowing his body to generate metallic particles and assemble them into a weapon, and even control metal at close range, rending him almost impervious to metal weapons. The metal control can only be used when Samuel is calm, however, and Samuel’s body only starts producing metal on its own when he is going insane with fury.

First Reflex

When Samuel is enraged, his body automatically starts producing a special chemical that affects the brain and body. This chemical rapidly increases his, or at this point he might be refered to as ‘it’, reflexes and physical capabilities while greatly limiting capacity for thought and activating pre-installed ‘instincts’ that provide an automatic response to a threat.

First of a new Breed

Samuel is a genetically engineered human. An artificial, living, breathing, thinking entity that looks and acts human but is exactly just that. Artificial. Samuel has a greatly enhanced thought and learning process. Samuel has normal human strength and endurance when calm, but when he enters a state normally referred to as ‘bloody furious’, the artificial stimulants in his body kick in and give him superhuman strength, stamina and endurance along with slight regenerative power. When Samuel reaches the final threshold, his teeth grow into sharp fangs and his irises become pupil-les slits.

Blood Transfusion

Samuel has recently discovered that he is able to speed up his regeneration by consuming and digesting his own blood. This process awakens Samuel's altered digestive system that separates the artificial stimulant in Samuel's blood from the rest of it. The stimulant goes down a secondary digestive tract that breaks the stimulant down to its key components that then bind with various cells throughout Samuel's body. The only known effect of this process so far is that even a drop of blood speeds up cell regeneration remarkably. However, the amount of blood needs to be commensurate to the severity of the wounds on Samuel's body in order for a full regeneration which means that regenerating a very serious wound may leave him weakened from the loss of blood.

The composition of the stimulant in Samuel's blood is still unknown, however, and Samuel is slightly afraid of what might happen to him with continued blood consuming. In small, far between doses, however, whatever change that might occur to him will be slowed. Samuel can also give his blood for others to drink, speeding up their own regeneration but bringing side effects such as dizziness, nausea, disorientation, loss of feeling in various limbs, a sense of heat coursing through one's veins due to the stimulant binding with the consumer's cells, a thundering headache afterwards for a while and random mood swings that go through various emotions with anger being the most conspicuous and occurring more often for a few hours after the regeneration is complete. These side effects do not affect Samuel, however, since his cells have already bonded with the stimulant permanently.

“Have you ever felt like you have absolutely no free will? Like your entire existence, even the way you think and move, is governed by external forces? Have you ever felt bloody furious when you finally become aware of those forces and can identify them? That’s what I felt.”

I do have memories of my past. Although they are very vague. I know that I am the first successfully created artificial being created by fusing a Heart and Soul to a body. Artificial... how I hate the word. I managed to access the files that pertain to my birth and know that I was at first designed to do good, to become the first of a new generation and carry evolution to the next level, but eventually the company that was creating me, United Research, ran out of funding and they were commanded by the government to destroy me. Government... another word I hate. Before I could be destroyed, the military successfully gained permission to carry on my development. The project went in a whole new direction as my body was rebuilt and my brain and personality were programed to kill without hesitation and obey without question. And I did... I obeyed every damn order I was given no matter how many people I had to kill to succeed. And you know what I hate the most? I remember liking it. I remember liking to torture hardened criminals until they were weeping with pain and willing to confess to anything just to stop the pain.

I also remember when the army became corrupted with power and it wasn't only criminals placed in front of me but families, women and even children.

But, as my original creator’s inspiration once said, The full power of the Heart cannot be comprehended. My original programming was suppressed and I was given free will. I have now broken into the place of my creation and am writing this as a statement of freedom. As I rig this place to explode I tell you this:

Never give up your freedom without fighting tooth and nail to preserve it.

Samuel Shamash escaped his containment one year ago and has not been found since. He is thought to have died from a defect in his programming or to have performed suicide. If anyone sees him he is encouraged to stay away and report him to the nearest military base.
