Audition post (400 words):
Twilight Town for the most part was a peaceful world that lay hidden within the borders of the light and dark realms as if to say it was rejected by the two realms. On this particular day its citizens would be visited by a newcomer whose existence was very much alike that world.
For the first time in the towns history the sunset sky was covered in thick dark clouds like a streak of black paint covering a portrait of the sky. The eerie clouds began to rumble as they brushed against each other causing the ground and even buildings to shake. The sound of thunder was loud like a canon being fired in a battlefield. Wind began blowing getting stronger and stronger by the second ripping Struggle posters from brick walls. The rain began pouring down hard like buckets just being poured from the sky. The townspeople feared for the worst this sort of thing never happened in their quiet peaceful town.
Just as things seemed like it couldn't get any worse, the unthinkable happened......silence.
The rain halted dead in its tracks the clouds suddenly began to fade away bringing back the sunset orange sky. The wind calmed down back to a cool breeze. The townsfolk just scratched their heads for a moment and continued on with their normal routine.
But somewhere deep within the shadows of Twilight Town a supernatural occurrence had just happened unbeknown to any of the citizens.

A pair of deep gleaming yellow eyes slowly opened gazing at the twilight sky. The mysterious silver haired man rose up from where he was lying and began to look around examining his new surroundings. Most people would be afraid or confused and would panic at what had happened to them, but he had no intention of any of that. He simply looked around and pondered his present situation. He noticed something different about him he wondered just why wasn't he feeling anything. He definetly knew he would be somewhat concerned about where he was about if he would never return to his home in Radiant Garden but he felt nothing. There was just a deep emptiness within him but it did not matter much to him for he was more focused on finding a way back home in order to properly record this for further review. Shrugging off that he simply concluded that it was a result of his experiment when he separated his heart from his body which for the most part, was a complete success.
He then took a few steps to see if his body was still functional and he sensed right off the bat that the world he was presently in did not exist within the realm of either light nor darkness it was a world in between. He felt if you could call it that the same way about his present state of being.
He then noticed something as he took a look at himself, he was completely naked.
First things was first he needed to cover up his bare dark skin. Suddenly out of nowhere like magic his body was engulfed in darkness. Once it cleared he saw that he was now clothed in a hooded leather cloak.
[glow=white,2,300]"It seems the experiment has triggered newfound dormant powers. I wonder if I can create something else out of my own willpower."[/glow]
His willpower was able to cloth him, what else could they do. He was intrigued from a scientific point at the thought of the possibilities. Could it take it home? It was a better time then ever to experiment. He held out his hand and without much attempt at it a dark portal emerged from the shadows before him. His theory was correct. He smiled although there was no emotion or feeling behind it more of a bodily reaction than anything.
This newfound ability was simply astonishing if he could feel astonished. He glared at his hand as it began to emit dark energy.
[glow=white,2,300]"Ansem that old foolish teacher of mine."[/glow] He said in a melodramatic tone while moving his arms around as if to give emotion to his emotionless speech.
[glow=white,2,300]"He gave this up and for what? He has no desire to go beyond what he studied to achieve ultimate knowledge. Today I have gone beyond what he couldn't even fathom and have achieved a new understanding of the heart as well as the body. Now I can go even further and obtain ultimate knowledge by obtaining the greatest heart of all Kingdom Hearts."[/glow]
With this new birth he decided to abandon his old life and identity to take on an entirely new identity. No longer was he a pupil of Ansem the Wise but a figure of high superiority and power unlike any other in the universe.
And he called his new being Xemnas.
Xemnas gazed at the sky once more before heading towards the dark portal.
