Alias: Faye, Elle, Elly
Age: Physically: 20s, though she seems young for her "age". Chronologically: Very very old. 750 human years, perhaps?
Gender: Female
Race: Humanoid (night elf)
Alignment: Hero
Origin:
Latharai, to this day, remains a world of desolation and despair for its human population. A Gothic world that had already been corroded by darkness before the heartless had even thought about setting feet onto its diverse landscape, this world was governed by magic and tragedy and consists of two main species: The humans and the Demons.
The Homosapiens, ever persistent, ever unyielding, plays the submissive race in this game. Above them, the Demons and their four leading superiors, who ventured to call themselves Dieus, gods, maintained the control and the balance of the human population. None have yet dared to challenge the authorities of these ‘deities’.
The Dieus split their land into four equal sections, each governing their own. The world of Latharai was the world of the Demons, and caught underneath them, the humans, were maintained and pruned by Demon authority.
However, humans were never a race that dealt well with suppression. Throughout the long and bloody history of Latharai, wars wages, regime formed and shaped itself, then fall. The Dieus never move from their spot on the throne, and the humans never managed to step a foot above their sub-par positions. Their place was etched out for them.
In this mingle of conflict, other species continued to strive and live, whether they did so in public or in hiding. Scattered through the thick forests of Latharai, there lives a minorities of elves, hidden in the deepest parts of the forest that no normal humans would dare venture in. Nor would any Demons bother to set foot into a place like that.
These species of Night Elves dominate the forest, living their own separate lives while the rest of the world fought, occasionally drifting into the humans and Demons, but never too far.
Then one day, a threatening red force emerged, wrecking havoc as it slowly eats its way towards the Palace of the Dieus, preparing itself for the first confrontation against the Gods since they first stepped into power…
However, even a cannibalistic plague such as this cannot take down Gods. Defeated, it fled the world, seeking to spread its stomach in other worlds. Meanwhile, Latharai lays in the wake of the red monster, wasted and disintegrating…

History:
Mongrel.
That's what Faye was to her people. A mongrel. From a small child up she was mistreated. After all, an elf with a heart filled with light did not belong in a civilization of night elves. Night elves are beings of darkness who like heartless and evil things, even their skin is a deep gray or blue. They flourish at night. Wreaking havoc and mischief is their business, along with being assassins and any other despicable occupation imaginable. The women are just as disgraceful as men, having a love of greed and a lack of modesty. They'll do anything for money, and men are willing to pay as long as it means gain or pleasure for them.
Imagine the dismay of all when a tiny, blue haired giggling girl came tumbling from the womb of the darkest of the night elf women. Her skin was bright and peachy, eyes just as bright and happy. She even had a bright glow about her. She was immediately hated, dubbed a mongrel. She had no father, after all. No one could tell who the father was of all the men, but whoever it was would have been executed, for either their genes were tainted, or they were a light elf in disguise. Whatever the case, the baby's mother hated her instantly and disowned her, as if she'd never been born at all.
Faye grew up always being terrified and abused. The elves around her treated her as their personal slave. She was a mongrel, after all. Worthless, other than for doing as demanded or forced. The more miserable and afraid she was, the more they liked it. It's easy to see why she's afraid of the night and going to sleep. Yet, no matter how they treated her, she was still kind when she could be. Even if her face was so swelled she could barely see from beatings, she'd bandaged her attacker's bruised knuckles.
Finally the day came when the night elves tired of her. It'd been far too long since her unfortunate birth, so now they aimed to kill her. Faye, however, had a different idea. She had learned the basics of dark magic used around her, only she cultivated it to fit her light instead. Despite their assumptions, she was a very smart girl. When the time came for them to "kill her in her sleep" she jumped up from her bed and surprised them, attacking a katana she'd forged in secret and an old staff she'd stolen. While she killed no one at all, she managed to escape from the depths of the civilization out into the world of Latharai, and ran until morning.
The poor girl wandered into a desolated human town miles and miles away, badly bruised and wounded. The people of the town were so perplexed. They hadn't encountered many elves..they usually kept to themselves. But this elf, she was so cheerful, even though every time she smiled her busted lip would break open and bleed. One thing they could never understand was why the girl would never sleep, no matter how tired she was. That was the only time she would start to act strangely. She'd begin to panic, near hysterics, wailing something about bad things happened when she slept.
Soon after she'd recovered, she set out to find a world of light. And on the way...there was so much to see! She was so excited. She may even make a friend. Faye had heard of those once, when she was a child.

When Faye gets really desperate or angry in a battle, her form changes. The colors in her eyes fade into nothingness, leaving only white. It's a rather eerie look, especially paired with drawn down angry eyebrows, a scowl on her usually pouty lips, and weightless navy hair. If angry too long, or exhausted in battle, her desperation may increase, at which point white markings will start to form on her cheeks, up her arms from the fingertips and toes. Should the markings ever cover her whole body until skin tone is lost, she will die on the spot. Fun times! =D

Appearance:
Physical Features:
Faye is small in stature, which is normal for her race. Elves aren’t known for being tall, regardless of whether they are a product of the light, a creature of the living forest, or beasts lurking in the night. She only stands about five feet tall if that, and is rather thin and eighty-five to ninety pounds. Thin, though shapely and fit. You could say she's just..compact.
Facial Features:
The girl's cheeks are rounded and blushed in a cute fashion, a little nose situated between them and pouty peach lips below that. Above these cheeks are beautiful big fuchsia eyes, a darker shade of the pinky hue serving as her pupil; all these features combining to form an appealing, well situated face of exotic decent. She's particularly proud of her eyes' beauty and depth, as well as how she keeps her hair. Speaking of hair, it is a deep blue hue, cropped short to contour her face and mid-way down her neck. Pointed little ears peek out from the blue strands, betraying her race most noticeably.
Clothing:
The small, blue-haired elf usually sports a tight, black body-suit with various buckles and straps. It's hard to tell where the suit ends and the tall black boots begin. This outfit is clearly ideal for combat, though a girl such as herself really has no concern with fighting, though it does come in handy for the times she does have to defend herself.
Under it is a small black dress of the same material. This is what she wears when it gets really hot outside of the suit is deems unnecessary.
This doesn't mean she doesn't wear other things on occasion. But she doesn't travel with a suit case, so usually it's only what she can wear on her body.
Miscellaneous Items/Articles:
There are three gold piercings in her little elf ears. A special earring hands from her left ear, a black thin chain with a cross hanging from it. Sometimes its long enough to brush against the base of her neck.
Faye
Rainy Faye
Personality:
Resolve:
Faye hopes to find a place where it is never night, and darkness is no where to be found. This place would never have any dark time or places, nor shadows. Essentially, day time 24/7, the opposite of where she's from. There she would be safe and unafraid. This is really her one and only thing that she absolutely must do to.
Pursuit:
Faye won't give up because of her fear of darkness. Darkness is a scary thing, and she'll fight it until it is completely gone, or she comes to find her personal heaven. She longs to be able to sleep peacefully in everlasting sunlight, safe from harm. She'll do anything to find this place of bliss she's only heard about in stories. If she doesn't find this place, her life will never be perfect, and she'll always be tired.
Fears:
She has three huge fears, fears that once they have a grip on her, they torment her into hysterics. She is terrified of bugs, both dead and alive. No, it isn't rational, but it's a phobia just the same. Spiders are the worst things in the bug category in her opinion. Nothing will turn her to hysterics as quickly as creepy crawlies.
The second and biggest, and most rational is her phobia of the dark. This includes night time. Because of her life up until she escaped, she links all bad things, all pain and all danger to the darkness of nighttime and is thus driven to near insanity when exposed to it now-a-days.
Linked to the second is the third, which is sleeping. She fears sleep because closed eyelids bring darkness, as well as render you unconscious, thus making you vulnerable to attack and the evils of night, including the dark assassins that she fears are after her.
Hopes:
(This one overlaps a little..)
Faye hopes with ever fiber of her being to find a place of eternal light, free of danger and evil. Along the way, though, she hopes to make many friends, and maybe learn of who her father really was. For her to be like she is, he must not have been a real night elf. She would like to find a special someone who will show her what love really is, and before she dies she'd like to have children, and maybe even see her grandkids. Once she finds the place of eternal light, she amuses herself with perhaps opening a jewelry store.
Hobbies:
Faye really loves when it rains. She'll sit out in it, no matter the temperature, until it stops. Even if she gets a cold, she doesn't mind. Something about the rain makes her feel good. She also likes to make jewelry with pieces of metal and other shiny scraps she finds laying in streets and such. She also likes to climb trees, smell flowers, roll in soft grassy meadows, and observe "normal beings I haven't seen before! =o"
Public Personality/Private Personality:
In public, Faye possesses the personality perhaps hidden away for saints. She is the kindest of kind, willing to sacrifice her needs should someone else's needs be greater than her own. The little elf has a huge heart filled with light, the appearance of glee. It's like she's happened upon some accidental innocence, because there's no logical way she could have innocence left given her past. She's not above bouncing around happily on a sunny day, a happy grin on her face and enjoying life. A giggler, she can usually find some sort of humor in any situation, whether by saying something stupid herself, or tripping. She somehow manages to get herself into awkward situations, but she'll laugh herself out of them. Though these are the most prominent aspects of her personality, it is not to say she isn't a well rounded being. She's perfectly able to become sad, angry and scared in public, though none of these negatives are very severe. Well, on average.
On a side note, though in the normal every day she is very tame, elves of her kind are very easily tainted by things surrounding them, such as violence, darkness in hearts, anger, hatred, as well as lightness in hearts, happiness, high energy and so on. While the essentials of her personality may remain, her aura and some actions may reflect some traits around her.
For the more private part of her personality, her core being, it is important to know that she rarely sleeps. This isn't because she doesn't need sleep, but because she's afraid to sleep. She feels too vulnerable when she's asleep, not to mention she hates the dark. When it starts getting dark outside she'll usually run for a lighted room to spend the night in there, otherwise she'll freak out until daybreak. The only time Faye sleeps is when she passes out unwillingly, or she's in the presence of someone she really trusts that can keep her safe.
Because of this, when alone or with people she is very close to, the happy, bouncy girl seen in the beginning seems to dim a little, becoming fairly subdued. It edges on a sad, depressed aura, though not quite. If anything it resembles exhaustion. She is a natural worry wart and spazzes over small things. She can quickly be brought to tears over seemingly silly things or thoughtless words. Even though she is more serious, she is still decently happy, and her spazzing is mostly comical, accompanied by flailing arms

Class: Mage
Weapons:
Weapon Name: Illuminating Dawn
Weapon Description: The blade of the katana is black and sharpened to perfection and holds a glow about it that seems to serve no other purpose than to illuminate the area when drawn in the dark, like a lantern. The hilt is white with blue and black gems inlaid, with no hand-guard.
Weapon Name: Staff of Ages
Weapon Description: This is a very old staff, chipped in several places in it's ancient wood. It has a few stains from use, specifically a bloody hand print near the top, matching the size of Faye's hand. The staff curves in on itself at the top, forming a smooth curve and a spiral, a white gem placed in the center.
Unique Notes: Illuminating Dawn was forged by her own hands in secret to be used for eventual escape. It's worn across her back for easy access.
Staff of Ages was stolen while she cleaned an elder night elves home. She wasn't sure what it was, but it felt powerful to her, so she snatched it. Ethical, no, but no one was anyway. This weapon is worn on hre back as well, crossing the katana, thus forming an 'X'.
Abilities:
Base Ability: Light
Sub Abilities:
Blind: The simplest of her abilities thus far, when danger presents itself, Faye shoves both hands out in front of herself and a blinding flash of light emits. This will disable vision temporarily for up to a minute of blindness, and up to two minutes of hindered vision for anyone looking directly at the light.
White Flames: A bright matter forms within Faye's hand(s). It then begins to gain volume and mold into something that is dangerous to anyone, flames. These white "flames" are hot enough to certainly burn flesh, but are not actually flames.
Quake and Crumble: Faye takes her staff and jams its pointy tip into the ground beneath her with force. There is a brief delay, then an intense light travels down the staff and into the ground, which begins to crack like ice away from the hole made. A bright white light shines up from the cracks, nearly opaque to obstruct vision. As the pieces of ground start to up heave underfoot, the light underneath the ground trembles to shake the enemy's balance. The light starts to force the ground apart gradually, creating giant cracks to fall into. ultimately the point is to cause the opponent to fall into the cracks for the light to push the opponent out of it in a forceful push that could cause injury. During this attack, however, Faye can not move from her spot or let go of the staff. If she does, the attack ceases.
