Audition post (400 words):
The setting was the most typical of all places. Like many worlds it was a place of darkness, mystery, and intrigue. Shadows lurked and fear reigned supreme. It was a world where black, looming skyscrapers tore at the equally dark sky. The world was lit by eerie neon lights that hung on the sides of these massive structures. For a few this place was paradise. It was a haven for beings known as Nobodies, and at the same time, a breeding ground for the Heartless hoard.
Most of those Nobodies had, however, left this desolate world. Their leaders had all fallen in the name of Kingdom Hearts. Only remnants of those memories remained along with the enormous Castle, which acted as headquarters for the group called Organization XIII. Few people actually knew that something more than mere shards of the past still remained there. A man identified by a mere number still remained. That man's number was two.
Of course commonly he was referred to as Xigbar, a wild, somewhat crazy, and rather animated Nobody. In essence all Nobodies were inherently mad or pyschotic, but he took that into a somewhat different perspective. Xigbar, had been known to toy with his prey. He was what one may call a hunter in some regards. Over his years in the Organization he had experienced many such battles where his unique skills came in handy. Hunting came hand in hand with his astounding sight and tenacity. The guns he held were especially vital for victory in said battles. They were crafted for his own special persona and attitude. Few would ever see them and live to tell the tale, as corny as that sounds.
None of that really explained why he was still there in The World That Never Was. Organization destroyed, Kingdom Hearts gone, and the plans to use the Keybearer were crushed. Nothing remained besides him. Well, that statement was most likely false. Xigbar, could scarcely believe that all of them had actually been vanquished. Larxene was most definetly the first one he would expect to still be alive, and then their was his former leader Xemnas. That Nobody refused to give up on anything. Such was the mind of a scientist. The Organization's original six members were all former scientists as a matter of fact. That was back when Xigbar was Braig and Xemnas was Xenahort. Neither of them really wanted to bring up those awful memories, but they would forever remain in the back of their minds.
For once, Xigbar actually stood still a bit and wondered about all this. What was his purpose? Why did he even care? What would happen now? Immediately he washed away these trivial matters. Why did he need to care anyway? He was just a Nobody. All that mattered was getting his heart back, and he had just will to do so. After all he was supposed to be the cool one of the group. Xigbar, was the type of man who was quick to act, and didn't think twice about putting a bullet through someone. His extraordinary abilities (and extraordinarily wierd surfer accent) more than made up for his utter lack of self control and respect. For all he pretended to care, the other members of his "beloved" Organization could take a hike. He wasn't one to treat them with any sort of compassion in the first place. For lack of a better word, Xigbar was a dick.
Even he had to agree to that, though being said dick was just his way of coping with the utter lack of any emotions. In a overly flashy move he pulled out one of his beautiful weapons. Using his amazing ability to completely tear down the laws of gravity he dashed towards one of the nearby featureless skyscrapers. As he stood sideways on one of the window panels he directed three arrow bullets towards a building on the complete opposite side. They of course hit directly shattering glass, and making it fall to the ground with a wonderful sort of sound.
"Still haven't lost the touch I guess. Time to get lost before some damn kid with a keyblade tries to kill me again. Heh, like that'll happen." Few words could be said to himself, without sounding obnoxiously freaky. Truth be told, he did need to get out of this place. It wasn't because of the memories, the heartless, or anything like that. Adventure, excitement, the thrill of the chase. He wanted those emotions, but to get them he needed a heart. However, this couldn't be done alone. He needed to find "the others". Getting them back would once again make people fear the power of Organization XIII.
(Eh, still not my best by a long shot, but this is definetly much better than the crap I previously put up. Sorry I'm no Bilby, but if this isn't Xigbar than you can kiss my ass. Well no mean to offend if I did, have fun judging )
