Make sure you have read all the rules before progressing.
I. Things to Keep In Mind
While you are making your character outline, you must keep several important things in mind from the Kingdom Hearts storyline, to avoid any plot contradictions or holes.
- Your original character cannot be affiliated with any established canon characters in their background. If you feel it a small detail, you may ask Avenger for permission.
-Remember that a Heart, Body, and Soul are three main essential elements to creating a life in the universe of Kingdom Hearts.
- How did your character escape from their world?
- If your character is a Nobody or a Heartless, they cannot feel emotions.
- Your character cannot be a hybrid of a Heartless and a Nobody.
- If your character's world was lost, were they returned to it after it was restored by Sora's efforts in the first KH game?
- Please do not use colored text in your character outline.
- Your character should not be one winged, wearing an Organization coat, or using an anagram of their name with an X.
- You start with 3 abilities. You may buy 7 additional ones upon attaining the Munny.
- Keep in mind the cooldowns for each ability, found in the Ability Guidelines thread in this board.
- Do not break the cosmology of Kingdom Hearts and your character should be fine.
I must protect the shinies I save, so I think I should choose this.
"What do you want outta life?"
(Pick the one that best fits your character and explain your choice.)
A) To see rare sights.[/u]
B) To broaden my horizons.
C) To be strong.
I want to see rare sights. It stands to reason that where there are rare sights there are rare shinies to be saved.
"What are you so afraid of?"
(Pick the one that best fits your character and explain your choice.)
A) Getting old.
B) Being different.
C) Being indecisive.[/u]
It's a tough choice to make, but sometimes when you are being chased or can not carry anymore shinies you have to make tough choices. I can't afford to be unable to choose which shiny to leave behind.
"What's most important to you?"
(Pick the one that best fits your character and explain your choice.)
A) Being number one.
B) Friendship.
C) My prize possessions.[/u]
After saving a shiny, it is under my protection. I hate having to part with them so I guess my prized possessions are most important to me.
Abilities: (Create your first 3 Abilities. LIST them with the Ability's name and a description of what each Ability does. As you buy more, this list will be expanded upon.)
Natural Attributes: All brownies are born with great agility and Arly is no exception. He is an amazing acrobat that has refined his natural agility and reaction speed to an even higher level after being chased and attacked many times after coming to the mainland. Besides having great agility, Arly can easily jump three times his own height. His eyes are adapted to be able to see in low light while his hear and sense of smell are also much more acute than a human's. Climbing quickly and skillfully is also one of his natural attributes.
Telepathy: The ability in which Arly is able to communicate between himself and Shiny without words. This link between the two has become strong enough so that they are not only able to send thoughts back and forth but also share strong emotions.
Sixth Sense: A useful power imbued within Shiny in times past. Like the name implies, it is an extra spiritual sense. With it Shiny can locate those near it aligned with the darkness.
Special Abilities: (Abilities that do not count toward your maximum total amount of Abilities. This section is only to be touched by staff.)
Summons: (Summons you own/bought. This section is only to be touched by staff.)
Items: [Items you have bought/earned. This section is only to be touched by staff.)
Other
Anything else you wish to mention? This section is optional.
Sample RP
Only needed for canons. But, it can be used as leverage for a regular character to get accepted (if you're feeling your character/profile is iffy).

II. Dive to the Heart
This is the actual character outline with descriptions. A pre-coded template will be available for you to copy and paste so you can fill it out.
Soul
This is probably the most important section of the template. This is considered to be the background or biography of your character. You must answer each question with a paragraph (no longer than that, 3 sentences at least) as this is basically forming the backbone to whether or not your character really belongs in this type of role playing environment.
I. "Where does your journey begin?"
Oh oh! I can answer this question with no problem. Here let me show you. This map should answer your question. See the beautiful palm tree, I drew it myself, in the center there? That is where my journey begins, in the village of Coconut Grotto in the southern islands. After leaving there, I followed the dotted line a bit west, then south, east, and then north. Later, after seeing I was near Coconut Grotto again, I headed east to the port city Haliburgh and then across the ocean where I traveled around where ever I pleased until I found a dusty old place and after that I traveled where ever Shiny told me to.
II. "What is your goal to accomplish?"
I actually have three goals: To collect even more shinies, find out what the maximum amount of fish I can eat is, and most of all to make sure Shiny is happy so it won't nag at me. I have found all of these goals very hard to achieve thus far for there is a seemingly endless amount of shinies, my stomach is never satisfied, and Shiny always nags.
III. "What happens if your fail your goal?"
If I fail my goals many shinies will be lost, ignored, and homeless. Not only that ,but I will also have to always guess how many fish to catch and I will have an ever lasting headache. Can you imagine having a voice in your head that never gets tired of yelling at you? There is no way I could take that!
IV. "What happens if you succeed in your goal?"
If I happen to succeed in these almost impossible tasks, I will have saved many shinies from neglect. There is no way I can save them all, there aren't enough hiding places, but I can rescue as many as possible. I will always have the perfect amount of fish for every meal. It makes my mouth water just thinking about it! Last but not least, I might have a bit of peace and quite or in the very least an occasional kind word from Shiny.
V. "What was one of the hardest decisions you had to make?"
The hardest decision I have had to make is one I have had nearly every other day before Shiny came ,the darn dagger, "where do I hide the shinies when my sack gets too full?" It was such a hard choice. After all you have to think about thieves, passer bys, and possible damage to the shiny. It takes forever to find the perfect place...
VI. "What was the biggest change in your life?"
The biggest change in my life happened when I found Shiny. It was sitting there innocently shining in the torch light. How could I leave it there? Unfortunately, Shiny didn't stay very innocent after I picked it up. All of a sudden I heard this loud voice inside my head, I couldn't even tell if it was a man's or woman's! Since then I have tried to follow all of its orders. Sometimes it is just so hard to do and then I get yelled at...
VII. "What was the happiest time/moment in your life?"
The happiest day of my life was a few years ago. It was during the summer and I was out in the ocean fishing with my family. After hours of going back and forth we finally caught it, the big one. After a large struggle in which we all worked together, the giant was tied to the side of the ship and we rowed back home. Not only was it the best fish I have ever eaten, but it was so shiny.
VIII. "What was the most shocking moment in your life?"
The most shocking moment of my life was when I saw my first moving shiny. You should have seen it. It was huge and it had teeth... I met it while I was traveling through the Bywick mountains before I met Shiny. After walking for a few days I saw the flying shiny while staring at the big bright shiny, it looks really lonely up there all by itself. I was overwhelmed with delight at seeing such a wonderful thing that I just had to follow it and follow it I did straight into a hole in the mountain. To my surprise I was almost eaten ,just like the fish I talked of earlier, after I poked it a few times. I still don't understand why it would do that. All I wanted to do was to see if it were real. Luckily, I escaped with only a few burnt patches of fur to show for it.
IX. "What was the darkest event in your life?"
The darkest event in my life was when the moon disappeared and I couldn't find my matches. Not even my precious shinies could glimmer in that light. If that wasn't bad enough, I had Shiny yelling at me to run when a few lights appeared around me. For some strange reason I felt a coldness run through me and not happiness when I saw them. I could only guess what would have happened to me if I didn't obey Shiny.
X. "What angers you the most in your life?"
I hate being called a thief. I've never understood why people call me that. A thief is someone who steals things and I have never stolen a single thing in my life, that I can remember. The nerve of some people calling me a thief after all the shinies I've rescued.
XI. "Where does your strength or determination come from?"
Can't you tell? My strength and determination comes from my sack. In it are various objects and shinies I have saved. As more and more shinies are put in the sack, the heavier and heavier it gets. Over time my muscles have become quite strong after running from crazy people that chase me. My determination comes from the shinies themselves. It makes me want to save more every time I see them glow in the light. I just have to persuade Shiny to let me save them.
XII. "Who or what inspires you to succeed?"
Shiny inspires me to succeed. Every time I hear that horrid voice resounding inside my poor head I want to shut it up and the only way to do that, besides throwing it away, is to make it happy. Unfortunately, it is only happy when I destroy "evil". This is so annoyingly tiresome, but if it will avoid being berated I will gladly do so.
XIII. "Where does your story end?"
My story obviously ends where I end. I hope it ends quietly back at home with a enormous stack of shinies near me, an endless supply of fish, a nice Shiny, and villagers. Yes, that sounds wonderfully delightful. If only I could skip past the beginning and middle, not that I want to end. If I ended the world would be deprived of the most benevolent savior of shinies and we can't have that.
General History
An outline of your character's history. This doesn't have to be insanely large, but is expected to be at least 2 paragraphs long. For the most part, you can explain the answers to the above questions here to a higher degree in a more story format.
Arly was born on the world of Ostol. When he grew up ,before the heartless came, the world was at peace and seemed likely to remain that way. The rulers of the different races as well as the subjects were tolerant of each other and their subjects. The world and economy was flourishing due to the large amount of trade between the nations. It was an ideal world to grow up in.
He grew up in a loving family that tried to teach him many things through his childhood years. However, this was no easy task as Arly was certainly not a competent student. In fact the only thing he seemed to learn quickly was how to fish and that was about the only thing he did learn from his teachers. Almost all of the moral lessons that were taught through stories seemed to go right over his head.
Soon after learning to fish the seas around him, Arly went on a fishing trip with his and a few of his other family members. On that day they caught the biggest most beautiful scaled fish that had ever been seen in those waters. This catch not only brought fame and profit to the village, but it was these scales that made him realize what he wanted to do with his life, rescue shinies.
A few weeks later he had managed to obtain many of the few shinies the villagers possessed. To his misfortune, the very people around him seemed to turn against him when it was discovered that he was the one taking their treasures. Angry at the great injustice, Arly left in the middle of the night with only a sack and a limited supply of food. It pained him to leave without saying good bye to the ones he loved, but he felt it was the only way he could do what he loved without being persecuted.
Eventually he made his way to the nearby Haliburgh where he replenished his now empty sack with borrowed food. Arly spent a few days there saving all that he could before becoming a stowaway on large trading ship that was taking goods to the mainland. There he passed the time polishing his loot, thinking about the past, and eating of course.
When the ship reached its destination he quietly departed to dry land. After leaving the ship Arly noticed he didn't fit in at all. His clothing didn't look anything at all like what everyone else was wearing. To fix this problem he borrowed what he needed from a building owned by the mayor of the town. He then traveled in random directions to see as much as he could; eating with fellow travelers and sharing what stories he could remember as payment for the food he received. It was through this traveling that he first learned of the treasure that could be found beyond the supposedly dangerous Bywick mountains. With glee he made this his first planned destination.
In the beginning he went in the Bywicks' general direction at a brisk pace, however, this pace was severally slowed by the lack of food and large amount of shinies. In the middle he was forced to make detour to the closest town. Once there he was forced to trade in shinies for food as there were several guards that constantly watched him. He then ran away after stealing them back. Luckily, men in heavy armor don't move very fast.
With a full stomach he continued his journey. Arly was surprised to find that there was nothing potentially deadly to be encountered. He continued thinking this until he met his first dragon. With luck he managed to escape and continue on his way. A few days and more completely random wanderings later found him standing outside of a crumpling stone temple being surrounded by men in black who insisted that the shinies he just found were in fact their's.
Knowing that he could never defeat all of them at once, he did what he believed to be the smart thing by jumping over their heads and running straight into the large doorway. He found himself running through dark passages with only a torch to light the way carrying a large sack. Arly ran for as long as he could through the dark passages before taking a break.
Upon leaning against a nearby wall he found that either he was so tired that he thought he was still moving or the wall itself was moving. To his surprise he found that was the latter. Sprawled out upon the floor he immediately jumped up at what he found, a room full of shinies. He found himself crying at the sight, but didn't hesitate in the slightest. It was only after packing all that he could fit into his bag that he noticed Shiny in the dead embrace of its former master.
At the time he saw only its beauty, but after pulling it out of dead hands he saw that the dagger wasn't as good as it looked. A voice began assaulting his mind almost instantly. Though this was totally unexpected, Arly found that he simply couldn't through this shiny away, however he did throw his torch. Through instructions from the insulting voice he was able to "talk" back to it without speaking. For a few minutes in the darkness he continued communicating with the blade before its impatience caused him to search for a way to escape the room. With helpful suggestions from Shiny, he was able to successfully identify which wall to push to leave the room without light. He was then able to navigate ,once again with help, his way back to the entrance and out again into fresh air.
His journey then changed to whatever direction that Shiny dictated. This led to many frustrated nights and heated conversations between formerly desperate weapon and master. All the dagger wanted to do was find someone evil and kill them while all Arly wanted to do was relax and enjoy the view. It was during one of these nights that he first encountered the heartless.
After one of their conversations they came in complete darkness without a sound. Arly found himself frightened for the first time since he was a child and even Shiny seemed slightly afraid, this was later explained by the chance of having him dieing and it being lost to the world once more. Thus it aided him once more in fleeing far away. While fleeing through the darkness, sack in hand, he found himself not going forward and upward but downward instead. He tried swimming, but that still didn't seem to help or even slow his descent.
Sometime later he found himself in a completely different place. It was in what appeared to have been a town, but it was filled with strange lights. He stayed in that place for a few boring days in an empty house before moving onward to other places under Shiny's orders. The only explanation he was given was "Evil is nearby..."
Body
Name: (The name and/or alias of your character goes here.)
Arly
Appearance: (You can use pictures, but you still must describe how your character looks and what they wear. This must be at least one good paragraph long.)
27runesgallery.iespana.es/4images/data/media/22/chiepoo01.jpg
Standing at roughly five feet four inches, Arly is essentially a large bipedal house cat. He has large slitted green eyes. Tan fur covers his body in which the color only differentiates into white on the tip of his tail, his paws, and a section of his face, spreading from cheek to cheek and up a little past the middle of his eyes.
Despite beings undeniably cat-like Arly does wear clothes if only to blend in slightly. These articles of clothing have been borrowed and consist of a long sleeved shirt that is the same color as his eyes, a brown vest, red bow tie, a light brown pair of dress pants, and brown dress shoes. His pants have been split in a way that allows his tail free movement.
Personality: (Describe your character's behavior around people or how they act in certain situations. This needs to be a good paragraph or longer.)
Arly is very different from most of his race. Compared to most people, he isn't very intelligent and can be easily led to do things worse than just stealing occasionally or become confused were it not for Shiny. He has an unnatural obsession for shining objects and it also seems that he can only act upon one emotion at time. This emotion is generally easily changed from one to another quickly. Though forgetful as well, he is naturally curious.
Much to Shiny's annoyance, when around other people Arly is more often than not the clown amongst the group. He loves to make others happy in his own times of joy and tries to amuse others in any way he can whether it be by song, story, or acrobatics. Of course, these distractions also allow him to save more shinies if Shiny doesn't stop him first.
Depression doesn't come often, but it does visit Arly. For the most part this happens when his sack has run out of food or when he has been ordered to complete a bothersome task. When depressed his actions are much more reluctant and slow. However, his depression doesn't usually last long because of his short attention span that makes almost anything new and fun.
Besides depression, anger is another emotion that rarely overcomes him. In fact the only things that can really cause him to become angry is to call him a thief, harm him for no reason, or if you harm one of his friends. Once angry Arly can not control himself and attacks whatever has angered him mercilessly with tooth, claw, and Shiny.
Weapon: (What your character fights with.)
Shiny: An ancient dagger with great power. It was blessed with holy power long ago when wars were much more common. This power has helped countless warriors long past to win fights against overwhelming odds. However, when the last of the wars had ended on Ostol the dagger was buried with its previous master and forgotten.
As part of its enchantment it has no certain appearance, but changes to what best suits its needs. After Arly found it, the dagger transformed into one of great beauty. Its hilt is made of shining gold with an emerald pommel, and the hilt is covered with various glimmering precious gems. The blade itself seems to almost glow even at night a blade sharp enough to cut through the hardest of cheeses. It is altogether fifteen inches long; the blade being ten inches and the hilt five. Similar to the blade its scabbard is also gold and covered with diamonds.
Besides having the power to change its appearance, the blade also possesses great intelligence, personality, and the ability to communicate telepathically with its master. The weapon was made purely for the purpose of eradicating all evil and as such it tends to urge its wielder to do the same. In the beginning Shiny, as nicknamed by Arly, lent its noble masters its power to destroy both of their enemies without speaking or resistance. However, after many years of sitting in a tomb has caused the dagger to become commanding, quick to anger, and thirsty for the blood of those it deems evil. It is also very quick to criticize him and never thinks he can do a job correctly. With this attitude combined with a shiny appearance it has effectively enslaved Arly to ultimately do what it wants for the most part.
Armor: (What your character wears for protection.)
He has no armor other than the clothes on his back.
Accessory: (Anything else your character wears for style or protection.)
Arly's only accessory is a large sack made of an unknown material. This sack is one of the many objects he considers dear to him. It has held many items over the years without fail and always seems to be bulging with random shinies as well as a few bare necessities.
Heart
Affiliation: (Good/Evil/Unaffiliated - pick one)
Good. I can't really be anything else now that I have met Shiny.
World: (Describe the world your character comes from in a paragraph. No more and no less.)
Arly comes from Ostol, a world that is the home to many races. In the past vicious wars were fought among the different species until the appearance of the warrior-king. The king reunited the world under one rule and it has been peaceful ever since. The world's geography consists mainly of ocean, a vast continent and a few surrounding islands. It is upon the southern islands that Arly and the other brownies live.
Race: (Is your character a Human, Heartless, Nobody, or some other type of humanoid entity?)
Brownie: Brownies are large humanoid cats. Their coat and eye color can very greatly amount each individual. The stereotypical brownie is peaceful, intelligent, a great fishermen, and agile. They are ruled by an elected council of elders.
"Which form will you choose?"
(Pick the one that best fits your character and explain your choice.)
A) Power of the Warrior.
B) Power of the Mystic.
C) Power of the Guardian.
