Somewhere deep within the caverns of Hollow Bastion. Moments after the epic battle between Cloud and Sephiroth...........
He is seen standing alone inside the dark cave somewhat confused as to how he ended up here. The cave itself had no passageways or cracks in order to get out or in. The inside was covered in giant jagged crystals which sprouted out from the rocks like explosions frozen in time which illuminated the cavern. But one thing that was on his mind was that man. It wasn't until he showed up to this world that Genesis was able to awaken from his slumber. That long, lonesome slumber, how much time has passed since he went into his deep sleep? The worlds must have gone through a big change since then Genesis could feel it in his heart.
Sephiroth was here, he could sense his ever so familiar dark presence even if he wasn't in the same world as he was. A nostalgic feeling engulfed the crimson clothed warrior taking him back to when he and Sephiroth were once comrades in SOLDIER. He used to be so jealous of him, who wouldn't be? Sephiroth was a unique individual a hero in Genesis green mako eyes. There was a time when he looked up to the silver haired warrior. But times change Genesis knew he could never be a great hero like Sephiroth.
So he chose the other path the path of a monster. Thats how Genesis felt about himself, nothing but a monster. And so he would take his role as one and put an end to the worlds just like a monster would.
The crimson donned warrior stretched his arms out after awakening from his long endured slumber, moving his neck around to relax himself. The feeling was like he was born once again into the world. Finally rejuvenated, he began searching for a way out. He looked around to see no passageways or openings to which he could exit out of the cavern. It was then Genesis remembered that he had sealed himself deep underground for various reasons. The darkness that came from Sephiroth was what woke him up so now he had to escape from the very prison he created. The idea was slightly humorous and Genesis couldn't help but smirk at the ironic situation he was in. He looked up towards the caves ceiling and began planning his escape.
It wasn't a difficult task for Genesis to accomplish he cracked his knuckles and shook his hands a bit loosening them a bit. His right hand ignited and went ablaze, he stared at it for a moment and smiled devilishly before firing a huge Firagua ball straight at the ceiling. As the smoke and debris cleared the blast left a huge hole in the ceiling and light from the outside entered the cave shooting a warm beam straight at Genesis. It was bright, Genesis covered his eyes in order to give them time to adjust themselves. Although he was a being of darkness, the warmth from the suns rays comforted Genesis. It would seem that the light had some usefulness for him. He walked forward a bit and grabbed his crimson red rapier sword that had been stricken into the ground and pulled it out from the ground swinging the dirt and other residue that was left on the blade after so many years. Genesis then jumped high towards the opening landing outside now. The second he stepped on the blue colored ground Genesis could see just how much Radiant Garden had changed. The once beautiful world was now a wasteland stripped of its former glory. He shook his head in shame to see that this world would be weak enough to let it get so easily ruined by the Heartless.
Yes much had changed since his absence but it didn't matter to him. Things could have looked much much worse had he been awakened earlier. He could still feel Sephiroths presence but he was well aware that he had left this world and gone to another. He stared at the orange sky his eyes now widened. He held out his hands and raised them up at the sky.
My friend, do you fly away now?
To a world that abhors you and I?
All that awaits you is a somber morrow
No matter where the winds may blow
His voice although calm and peaceful, had within it a dark and evil side. Genesis then dropped his arms just as a large black wing appeared on his left shoulder. It was this mark that convinced Genesis that it was the mark of a monster, that he was a being of darkness just like Sephiroth. He turned his head to look at his wings only to be disgusted by it. Genesis frowned and turned his head away from it no longer wishing to look at his mark anymore. It spread out as if it were about to take flight but then retracted.
A small eep could be heard behind Genesis. Who was it? Genesis mako eyes widened with curiosity. He turned to see a young girl hiding behind a rock as though she had seen a monster. Oh how right she was to be afraid. He walked up to her and stared deep into her large brown eyes. He smiled the kind of smile one would use to intimidate another person then began to laugh maniacally. She froze not being able to move an inch even as Genesis passed by her as though she never existed. Genesis felt as though the world wasn't ready to see him just yet. All in due time for when he does, no one will be safe. As he walked he began speaking to a non-existent audience as if he were acting out a scene in a dramatic play.
Even if the morrow is barren of promises
Nothing shall forestall my return
To become the dew that quenches the land
To spare the sands, the seas, the skies
I offer thee this silent sacrifice
The black feathered wing spread out once again and the crimson warrior took flight rocketing into the sky. The only thing that was left was a oddly colored apple and a black feather gracefully falling to the ground.
