II. Dive to the Heart
Soul
I. "Where does your journey begin?"
Beginnings. I had a beginning once. But, I don’t think I do anymore. Not sure if I have an end either. If I had to answer this question I would say it began awhile back ago when I was just a child, I was so innocent. I was sheltered by others but now I’ve seen the harshness of the world and have seized to become it because I couldn’t live against it. My beginning was a happy one but now it’s just a distant memory that I can’t seem to grasp that I call out for but it doesn’t come to me. I’ll probably forget it in time and then be forgotten in the end, I think. But, I think my journey already has an end.
II. "What is your goal to accomplish?"
My goal. Nothing. My goals, my dreams are just distant memories forgotten by me. By my friends. By my family. I have no goals anymore. I had goals though, but now they are nothing to me, to anybody because I had tried to accomplish them but I couldn’t no matter how hard I tried. So I’ve just given up on dreams, on goals. But, am I better off? Why do I even live anymore if I have no goals? Maybe I do have a goal because I keep living no matter how hard I try to just die something just wont let me die..
III. "What happens if your fail your goal?"
Fail? I’ve already failed. My goals are just trash. They were forgotten long ago that I can’t remember them. All my goals have already been unsuccessful. I think no matter how hard I try not to fail, I’ll fail anyways. I’ll just simply not care if I fail anymore, to just die away… disappear. Vanish, because I’m nothing anymore just a hollow shell waiting to die.
IV. "What happens if you succeed in your goal?"
I would be greatly happy, but that will never happen because I simply don’t have any goals anymore. I think if I had succeeded in my goals so long ago, that I wouldn’t be like I am now. That I would be a lot more happy, that everyone that had been around me would be alive right now. That I wouldn’t be dwelling in sorrow, waiting to just die… wishing I could just fade away. To die, to be nothing. But, why don’t I just die? Am I afraid of it? Is something holding me back? Does someone or something not want me to die….?
V. "What was one of the hardest decisions you had to make?" nervous
VI. "What was the biggest change in your life?"
The day I died. Well, figuratively. The day I changed forever. The day I went hollow, became just somebody in the world with no reason to live anymore. That fatal day that everything I cared about, everyone I cared for and loved became lost to me…I was never the same from that day on. I think I was changed forever, but not for the better…I sometimes wished I could just go back and correct what had happened…but I can’t because no one can change the past…Especially me who seems to be damned by the world…
VII. "What was the happiest time/moment in your life?"
The day I fell in love. My world seemed unbreakable, that nothing could destroy it but I was so naïve back then that I didn’t realize that something could destroy it. Now, the happiest moment in my life is just a distant memory that I don’t really think about often because it brings up too many bad memories, too many tears, sorrows…But, I would say that that day was the happiest in my life. But, now I don’t think I’ll be able to love again…
VIII. "What was the most shocking moment in your life?"
I would say
IX. "What was the darkest event in your life?"
I would say that the darkest or the saddest even in my life would be when the world decided to turn its back on me by taking away everything and everyone I love and cared for when I also decided to turn my back on the world because it had turned its back on me, when my heart went cold. That I had nothing left to live for so I just went cold and heartless not caring about anyone or anything… I’ve closed myself up to everyone around me… I don’t think I’ll ever open up my heart to anyone again… because I’ll just get hurt in the end… the first darkest event would also have to be the day I saw my parents die before my eyes….
X. "What angers you the most in your life?"
Ignorant people, who think they know it all. And that the world decided to turn its back on me and take everything away from me. But, I don’t really care anymore because I’ve decided to just become a hollow shell. I do get angry here and there and I don’t like it when others are helplessly put down by others. Also I don’t take kindly to malicious people who want to just take over the world, to gain as much power as they can.
XI. "Where does your strength or determination come from?"
They used to come from my friends and loved ones but now I have nothing that drives me I’m just a wandering soul who has no meaning. I’m not sure if I’ll ever have that strength I used to have, it used to be amazing but now it’s just been turned into something useless that I use in battle. I don’t have determination anymore, I live for nothing, strive for nothing… Yet, I don’t seem to just die and fade away…
XII. "Who or what inspires you to succeed?"
My one true love used to be my inspiration; he used to love to support me, to see me achieve at my goals at my dreams. But, now he’s gone, like everyone else. And my inspiration is now all gone because I have nothing left to achieve, no one to support me, no one to love, no one to see me achieve my dreams. No one cares about my dreams anymore, so I’ll just forget about them too… To just make them all disappear so that I’ll just disappear too…
XIII. "Where does your story end?"
I think it’s already ended…yet I don’t seem to be dead. I wish I was though, so I wouldn’t have to suffer through this pain, this sorrow this heart ache anymore. I wish my story would just end so that I could just be forgotten, though I already seem to be forgotten because everyone seems to hate me, to turn their backs on me… But what did I ever do to them…?
General History
Reika’s childhood wasn’t all that good but her and her friends made the best of it. Rei was an orphan as a baby and she was raised in a home along with other orphans, mostly around her age. They were all a family of their own, raised by one single woman. Her name was Rozaa. She was the brightest woman Rei had ever known. She was like a mother and a sister to all of the orphans, especially to Reika. As a child, Rei had felt alone in the world but Rozaa always seemed to put a smile onto Reika’s face. Rozaa was someone that Rei looked up to. She was her teacher. Her sister. Her guardian. They all lived in a small run down town everyone there was like family. There weren’t all that many people living there but they all seemed to make the best of it. Especially the children/orphans because they were so innocent, had no clue about what was happening around them. Reika was one of the orphans who actually knew. She had come into the orphanage at the age of 6. She had seen her own parents die before her eyes. Slaughtered. She would never forget that day…
As she grew up she became one of the orphans that the other orphans looked up to. She wasn’t the eldest but she was the wisest. She had this something about her that none of the others had besides Rozaa. So Reika began to also take care of them. She didn’t want them to have to face what she had faced. She knew some of them had lost their parents, some had never known them but she didn’t want any of them to have to watch their parents die, or even someone around them die. She never wanted anyone to face that kind of change. She would die for them, protect them no matter what. She wanted to be there for them no matter what. She never wanted to see their spirits down, always wanted to see a smile on their face. Yes, she knew that she couldn’t make everyone happy, but she would most definitely try. She didn’t want them to be like her.
By the age of 13, she had learned to fight for herself. Rozaa had taught her, and was still teaching her. They both fought for the orphanage and whatever forces tried to destroy their happiness, their family. Nothing would defeat what Reika believed in. She knew there was hope for these children and maybe for herself too, she just didn’t realize it yet. Rozaa had told her time and time again that there was this brightness about her, but Reika didn’t believe it. Rei knew she was destined to fail, yet she continued to push on. To struggle in a life that was nothing. But, they Reika, Rozaa and all the orphans would make something out of it. They would form their own lives, their own destiny. For whatever it was worth.
As Reika grew older and stronger their home became safer and safer. They started to rebuild the town, the same people were there but there had been a few travelers that had decided to stay here since they didn’t have any place else to go. If any kind of danger came to their town Reika and Rozaa were there on the double. They didn’t want any outside force to destroy their home that they had tried so hard to protect. Time and time again they always seemed to defeat the outside force, but it had still done some damage but nothing which a little rebuilding and patching up wouldn’t fix. Rei was actually happy. Despite her past, she had found a future. A present and she was living in it. Living it to her fullest. She was protecting it no matter what, even if she died.
The family would slowly be separated over time… More forces came to try and destroy their home. This time it was an army. Police. Rozaa and Reika, along with some of the other towns’ people tried to defend the town but it was to no avail. Rei and Rozaa were pinned down, well more along the lines of shot down though the blows were not fatal. They were taken into custody, taken back to the army’s base and put into imprisonment. While, the town was heavily guarded, many of the police-like people surrounding the town and moving into it capturing anyone who resisted. Rei and Rozaa had made sure that they did not harm the orphans. They had told them to hide. Over the years they had built a place, a sanctuary for the orphans incase anything came to destroy their home. They just hoped they were safe that the people would not find them.
Later on Reika and Rozaa found out that these people were called Imperial Stars and were from Syndicate of Stars. They didn’t seem like stars, more like monsters. They were barbarians. Not worthy of a name. They were trying to take over their town to destroy it and rebuild a better one. Reika wouldn’t have it. She wouldn’t let them destroy what they had tried so hard to protect. Nothing would stand in her way. But she did not know how to escape this imprisonment. Brutal force did not seem to knock its walls down. She needed some kind of power to bring its walls down. Rozaa told Reika to be patient, that she had a plan up her sleeve to get them out. A few minutes later, they had both broken out, well Rei had with Rozaa’s help. She had used some kind of power. They ran through the fortress, looking for an escape taking out anyone who got in their way. But then, they came upon someone that they couldn’t bring down. Rozaa told Reika to run, that she could beat this guy by herself. Rei told Rozaa to promise her that she would follow her. That they would meet at the hide out. Rozaa promised. Reika ran out of the fortress and towards home, to save it or at least her family of orphans. It was the only thing she had known and she wouldn’t let anyone take it away from her.
After a couple minutes after she escaped out of the fortress, it exploded. She stopped, turning around shocked. She shouted, “Rozaa!” Her friend. Her companion. Her sister. Had died and she had just left her there. Tears streamed down her face as she broke down onto her knees. She knew she shouldn’t have just left her there. It was a suicide mission to fight all of them alone. But, Reika thought that Rozaa could handle herself and they promised each other that they would meet at the hide out. She stood up wiping away her tears, Rozaa had promised her that they would meet again and she knew Rozaa never broke her promises. Reika stood up, only hoping that Rozaa was still alive. She raced to the hide out where the other orphans were told to go. She could also only hope that they were okay too.
She burst into the hideout, to only find 6 of the 9 orphans. She stared wide eyed at the 6, “Where are Chou, Erik and Sesily?” She asked them. She looked around at them. She was at least glad that some of them were safe. But she wanted ALL of them to be. The 6 of them finally answered her after a moment of silence. “Not all of us could escape here at once, so we went in pairs. They told us they would meet up with us soon.” They all explained to her. She would go back for them. To save them. She told them that she would go back for them, bring them back here and they would all escape together including Rozaa.
Rei carefully snuck back into town careful not to be spotted by the guards who were guarding the entire town. She used passageways that they had made over the years. She made it to the house they had lived in for so many years, to find the three of them locked inside of their room. They instantly ran to Rei and clung to her. Reika reassured them that she would get them out of here. They asked where Rozaa was. Rei could only lie between her teeth; she told them that she was waiting for them at the hide out. She could only hope that Rozaa wasn’t dead and that she was on her way to the hide out right now.
Rei went the same way she had come, of course there was no trouble getting back. But she still stayed on her feet and was cautious to not be caught. The entire time she led the three, they clung to her afraid. Of course they were the youngest and usually became the most scared out of the nine of them. When she got back she found the other six tied up. She looked around to find one of the guards; he had a different colored uniform then the ones in town. “I see you escaped.” He said to her. Then she saw Rozaa also tied up, but she was badly wounded. Rei got angered and ran towards the guard. She was instantly knocked backwards against the wall. She kind of staggered as she got up. She glared at the guard. “Let them go!” She yelled at him. She then charged at him again, this time she wasn’t sent flying backwards but was able to land a punch which sent him backwards a bit. He smirked. He then commanded one of his guards to hurt Rozaa. “You harm me, all of them get harmed.” Reika stopped instantly. She was defenseless when it came to her so called family.
“Don’t harm them. Let them go and you can have me. Torture me all you want, but please don’t harm them.” She said to them. That was all she could think of to do. She didn’t want any harm to come to any of them. He laughed. “Fine.” And with that they let all of the others go, tying Reika up in the process. They brought her out and brought her to their fortress, to do what ever they willed to. She would sacrifice herself for the lives of her family, of the orphans. She knew she would probably never see them again, but at least they were safe…
She did not try to escape; they had locked her up tightly so she knew it was to no avail. Weeks later she had suffered so much torture. She became weak. She was unfed, given food on rare occasions and she was under a lot of supervision. So far they had seen no attempts of hers to get out, for she had none. She was too weak to do anything… But then someone busted into the prison. A man, in heavy armor and a sword. He broke into Reika’s cell carrying her out. She was too weak to even stand up. He brought her to safety. He brought her to a near by village to bring her back to health. She was unconscious. When she came to she woke up, thinking on where she was. “Rozaa…Sam…” She said, trailing on saying the orphan’s names. She wondered where they were now. A man came in. He smiled at her. She couldn’t smile back, still too weak. She then stood up staggering a bit as she did, but she managed only with the man’s help. He set her back into bed. Telling her to rest. She told him she needed to find her friends, her family. He told her that he had not discovered anyone else in the cells. She told him that she had given the guards her life instead of her families in return for their safety. She just wanted to make sure that they had kept their promise. She wanted to make sure that they were alright, especially Rozaa. He told her he would take her to wherever she wanted to go once she regained her strength. A couple days later Reika was strong enough to stand and the man, who she discovered his name to be Hisao. He took her to where Rei had last seen the orphans in their hideout. She entered, to find blood stained floors. She stared in shock. She cursed under her breath. She would kill the man if it was the last thing she did. She ran towards the fortress that Hisao had saved her from days ago. Hisao tried to stop her. Saying it was no use. He literally tried to carry her, but she resisted even in her state she was strong.
She went past the town, now destroyed, to discover 9 graves. She went to them. They had all of the orphans’ names on them accept there was not one for Rozaa. Was she still alive? She could only hope. She paid her respects to the orphans, her family. As did Hisao. Tears slid down Reika’s face as she kneeled there. Hisao was surprised. She must have been through a lot. And he couldn’t imagine how much revenge she wanted. He tried to comfort her, he told her to let the tears out. He told her revenge wasn’t the way, that she would only die in the process. Well, right now. She was still too weak to even stand. He took her back to the village. Weeks later they came to the fortress, to get Reika’s revenge for her family of orphans. But, those few weeks Hisao had been training her and Rei had to admit it she had fallen for him. They made there way swiftly through the much weaker guards. They had redone the fortress but the design was the same, since it had been blown up by Rozaa. Hisao told Reika to go and check the cells for her friend, Rozaa. She could not find her there, nor anywhere else. They managed to get to where the man who Rei had made a deal with months before.
“You,” She said pointing to him. “Broke your agreement. Now, you’ll pay for what you have done.” She then raced towards him with her newly found weapons she had came well prepared before she had only her wits and her fists. They seemed to be equal in battle. But Rei had discovered a newly found power within herself. She was able to disarm the man, who’s name was Garethic. She put her blade to his throat, “Prepare to die. You bastard.” She said to him. Just then one of the guards came up from behind and stabbed Hisao in the back. Rei looked in shock. Anger then boiled up inside of her more and her power came out, shocking everyone who got in her way. She went to Hisao, she held him in her arms crying. “I love you…” She whispered to him. He smiled at her, moving her hair out of Rei’s face with his hand caressing her cheek. “I—I love you too…” He set to her coughing up blood. “P—please don’t leave me...” She said to him, he was the only one she had left. But, then he died in her arms… She had gotten her revenge but she had nothing else to live for… Her revenge had been for nothing. Everyone close to her had died. And she had just begun to fall in love, to find a home. She became a loner, a wanderer who only longed for battle to suppress her rage, her hatred for the world. She locked her feelings deep inside of her. She didn’t need them anymore everything that meant something to her was now gone.
As she wandered she began to wander away from her world. One day she found herself in a different world. She had found a door inside of a run down castle that led her into darkness and to another world. The first thing she encountered was a heartless that had the shape and form of Garethic. She killed it, to noly find that it wasn’t him. She had already killed him. She now walks this world alone… but she may never forget her past… May never know love… May never know what happened to Rozaa…
