The Dirge of the Kingdom Hearts World Ends With You, Cerberus!
I had insomnia last night. This is the result. Just offering a glimpse into the insanity that I am trapped within every day, AKA my mind. I'm not gonna bother trying to explain this since it is inexplicable anyways. Read on if you're really bored and don't have any wet paint that needs watching or days that need dreaming.
This isn't meant to be good or interesting or even funny. It just... is. Hence the SPAM board. Stupid Pointless And Annoying all abound in this post.
Potential major spoilers present from the game(s) Dirge of Cerberus and The World Ends With You in here, FYI. Don't say I didn't warn you if you actually care.
Vincent Valentine
Formerly a member of Ansem the Wise's secret bodyguards, Vincent discovered it when Xehanort replaced his former master and attempted to apprehend the criminal. Defeated, Valentine was used by Xehnaort as a guinea pig for his next experiment, wherein he was looking into ways of becoming a being of darkness without losing himself. Vincent was only the first test subject however and his survival was not expected. One of the scientists who worked with Ansem and his apprentices and Vincent's romantic interest, Lucrecia, found his dying body and sought to save his life before it deteriorated away. She found Xehanort's "perfected" test sample and removed a piece of crystallized darkness from his body, transferring it to Vincent's. The crystal acted as a buffer and sponge to absorb and control the excess power the man's body couldn't handle and his life was spared, but Vincent was left in a comatose state deep below the castle along with the other test subjects. Even after success Xehanort had already abandoned the project and instead became a pure Heartless himself. Nine years after Radiant garden became Hollow bastion "Ansem" completed the Final Keyhole and a massive surge of darkness poured out. Though it was held back by the princesses of Heart Vincent was too close to the source and the power seeping out jarred him from his coma. He was later found and released from his prison by Leon and the others during an investigation of the castle, but the other experiments remained a secret deeper below. Vincent now has an inhuman body capable of creating an exoskeleton of darkness made flesh, as if "wearing" his own Heartless, a power kept under control by the Protomateria crystal inside his body. The man harbours a deep grudge against Xehanort and though Sora has been the one to seek out and defeat the man's many leftover forms Vincent continues to investigate behind the scenes, trying to make sure all traces of the dark one's madness have been silenced forever.
Shelke
A failed experiment in Xehanort's Heartless Form project, Shelke's body now requires a daily intake of dark energy in order to survive after she was woken up in Hollow Bastion's deeper levels. Though her physical abilities are enhanced beyond her now permanent nine-year-old physique, Xehanort did not seek to create the form in her but to experiments on her mind in order to find a way to preserve it against the darkness and use that formula on others. These experiments have granted her a power called the Synaptic Net Dive, which allows her to link her brain with virtual networks. She works to locate Vincent Valentine in order to claim his Protomateria and and find a way to cure her condition. She works alongside the other test subjects.
Rosso
A failed experiment in Xehanort's Heartless Form project, Rosso gained superhuman power from the darkness enhancing her body but did not produce the madman's desired results. Her personality has been corrupted by the darkness that now courses through her and she desires Vincent Valentine's Protomateria in order to achieve greater power. She works alongside the other test subjects.
Azul
A failed experiment in Xehanort's Heartless Form project, Azul was the first to show the ability to wear his own darkness as flesh and gain a monstrous Heartless body. Unfortunately while Azul's superhuman physique allowed him to bear the burden of the unrefined transformation his heart and mind were not protected from the darkness as Xehanort had used another subject to test those aspects on. The result is that the already monstrous Azul becomes a mindless beats of destruction whenever he utilizes his dark form and must be shocked out of it by power of a similar scale to his own in order to become human again.
Nero
One of two brothers used in Xehanort's Heartless Form experiments, Nero is capable of not only a successful Heartless Form but also manipulates the raw darkness that constantly leaks out of his body while in human form. That uncontrollable leakage is Nero's only real flaw and will one day lead to his own premature death. While in human form Nero's darkness continues to be manifested physically, taking the form of solid black wings upon his back. Xehanort devised that keeping his darkness in that form lessens the burden on the subject's heart and make sit easier for them to survive the process and command their dark power. Nero seeks to find the Protomateria that was taken from his brother.
Weiss
One of two brothers used in Xehanort's Heartless Form experiments, Weiss is the scientist's ultimate success. The man's body showed results of powerful superhuman abilities and skill as well as the ability to assume a truly mighty Heartless Form dubbed "Omega". Because of a creation made by Xehanort to protect the subject's heart and mind Weiss did not require the "wings" used to make the experimental process easier on his brother. Instead Xehanort's crystallized darkness or "Protomateria" would correct all of the problems earlier subjects had shown. However, after his success Xehanort sought to find true power by completely abandoning his human flesh instead of trying to preserve it and left all his subjects in stasis. Lucrecia found Weiss and removed his Protomateria. Without it the "perfected sample" has been trapped in a comatose state ever since.
Yoshiya Kiryu AKA Joshua
A powerful and intelligent magician who spirited into the world of Hollow Bastion during its time under Maleficent's control and discovered the secret deeper levels of Xehanort's laboratory. Though he left all the test subjects in their suspended animation Joshua did retrieve all of Xehnaort's data on the project while Tron and the MCP were at odds with one another instead of running the castle's systems properly. With the data in hand the magician fled the world and sought to find his own way to complete Xehanort's work, believing that all worlds were doomed to end in darkness and wishing to have a way to survive the coming age. Joshua eventually perfected the process sued on Weiss' brother Nero since he was unable to create Protomateria as Xehanort had. The result was not as potent as Omega, but depending on a person's level of darkness it was certainly formidable. Joshua started a faction known as The Reapers consisting of individuals he shared this technique with, named after the black ornaments their bodies would gain that he had dubbed "The Reaper's Wings". Because mastering the art required several steps easily broken into challenges and his own love for games, Joshua often set up the learning process as a type of game or competition. He would eventually allow others to teach the new recruits using the same style, thus dubbing those who gained a Heartless Form his "Game Masters", while he himself took the title of "Composer" and his second in command was titled the "Conductor". After Sora had saved the worlds from darkness and nothingness Joshua began to think that light would conquer them all if each worlds was not consumed into darkness. His Conductor, who loved the worlds and the darkness, wanted to have both and so the two decided to have a game together. His power too great for the Conductor to compete against, Joshua used a new technique he'd been researching to completely separate his body's flesh from his darkness flesh. This split weakened him by stripping away all of his darkness and magical powers, even causing his body to take the form of a young boy. As a side-effect however he now possesses a heart of only light, a feat before claimed only by the Princesses of Heart, and realizes that he can begin learning how to tap into that power source instead to help win the game. If he does win Joshua plans to start leading the Reapers in a campaign to blot out every twinkling light in the Sea of Stars.
Draco
Yoshiya Kiryu's darkness made flesh, separated from his body and heart. This Heartless-like being takes the form of a giant serpentine dragon with five heads. Though sealed away for the time being, it continues to grow in power constantly as any darkness that enters or grows from Joshua's heart is now instantly transferred to this embodiment and adds to its strength.
Megumi Kitaniji
The Conductor of the Reapers. Mr. Kitaniji has the power to produce not only the Reapers' Wings and a massive snake-like Heartless Form at will, even the ability to generate partial transformations for speed and versatility in use. This twenty year-old man currently runs the Reaper faction in the absence of the Composer, with whom he is competing to see if darkness can triumph over light without destroying all the worlds entirely, but none of the Reapers are made aware of this. In order to win the game Megumi has called the Reapers to take command the Heartless in the absence of Organization XIII and use them to turn every man, woman and child in the Sea of Stars into either a Reaper or a Heartless. Of course to make the game more fun, the Composer is playing on the side of the light using a proxy to represent himself, to which Kitaniji knows he must be careful. The Conductor also harbours a deep resentment for the Antiforms because of their corruption of so many of the worlds he loves.
Mitsuki Konishi
A Game Master in the Reapers with a tiger-like Heartless Form. Konishi is known by the nickname "The Iron Maiden" for her cold disposition and rigid adherence to rules and regulation. She secretly desires to replace Mr. Kitaniji as the Conductor, but knows that his power and intelligence both exceed her ability to usurp. She is constantly gathering data on everyone and everything happening around her while looking for opportunities to bend in her favour.
Sho Minamimoto
A super-genius with no social skills or even social desires, Minamimoto is a Reaper Game Master with a bulky but speedy lion-like Heartless Form. With intelligence that rivals Kitaniji's Sho seeks not the position of Conductor but to usurp the Composer himself and use the Reapers to rebuild the worlds in his own design. Minamimoto considers himself an artist and has habit of piling up stacks of junk, his main message being that the worlds are garbage. The Grim Heaper learned about the Composer's new state from an outside source and sought to use the chance to eliminate him, but the now child-like Joshua's new powers over light were enough of a surprise to let him successfully escape the attempt on his life. In the wake of this failure Minamimoto has turned to looking at a new source of power to utilize that the Reapers had thus far written off as worthless: The Nobodies.
Yodai Higashizawa
The newest Game Master of the Reapers, Higashizawa is in fact still working to earn the title permanently. He boasts a muscular goat-like Heartless Form and a love for cooking(Which he often uses as metaphors in his regular speech). Higashizawa has taken an interest in a girl he discovered who has seemed to generate her own body of darkness not only without the reaper's techniques but also in the shape of her own desired human appearance. The Game Master in-training has decided to test the girl's potential in a game and see if it boasts any interesting results for the Reapers. If she proves strong enough to survive, that is.
Uzuki Yashiro
One of the Reapers' less seasoned members, Yashiro has only been with them for about two years but is all about hard work and climbing the ladder. Currently only capable of manifesting the Reaper's Wings, Yashiro carries out Mr. Kitaniji's orders to spread the Heartless hoping it will lead her to mastering the next level.
Koki Kariya
A long-time member of the Reapers, Kariya was recruited because of a great natural talent in using the darkness; so great in fact that it could rival a certain walker of the road to dawn. Kariya is extremely laid back and lazy and that is the only reason he has not yet moved up to Game Master. Even without a Heartless Form however the Reaper's Wings alone grant him skill and power that rivals the higher ups. Kariya carries out the Conductor's orders with the Heartless alongside his friend and partner Yashiro, but is highly suspicious of this new direction the Reapers are taking.
Daisukenojo Bito and Raimu Bito AKA Beat & Rhyme
A skateboarding punk from Twilight Town, his sister Rhyme was a casualty of the Conductor's Heartless plan. His sister being more important to him than revenge Beat demanded to know what had happened to her and, after learning the truth, was accepted as a member of the Reapers by Mr. Kitaniji. Beat gained the Reaper's Wings but for one reason only: So he could find and keep with him his sister's Heartless. Now they are reunited and his sister has become a small, animal-like Heartless but Beat will have to deal with the consequences of his decision. The location of Rhyme's Nobody is unknown.
Shiki Misaki
A shy girl from Destiny Islands who's heart festered with jealousy for her best friend Eri. So great became her envy that after reaching a point of great sorrow and desperation the girl's heart was able to invite darkness into it. Shiki's best friend was left behind, lost to darkness with most of the other residents of the Islands and Misaki herself woke up in Traverse Town in a new body. The darkness had granted her wish and caused her body to become a duplicate of Eri's. This occurrence catches the attention of the Reaper Higashizawa, who decides to play a Reaper's Game with her. Shiki will need to come to terms with her own darkness while learning to use her new powers if she hopes to get through the unwanted challenges.
Neku Sakuraba
An introverted and people-hating kid from Twilight Town, Neku's love seems to be for graffiti art and not much else. Unfortunately for him, the Composer of the reapers has chosen him as his proxy for the game with the Conductor because of his heart's unused potential. With his memory wiped by Joshua and Kitaniji's Reapers and Heartless targeting him Neku has to unlock that potential fast and probably learn to make some allies like the similarly-positioned Shiki Misaki before he loses the game and his heart.
Sanae Hanekoma
A magician of remarkable power who taught Joshua in the ways of magic. Hanekoma is all but powerless now after sealing away his own magic in order to keep himself from becoming corrupted by power. Joshua still respects his former master and has shared everything he does with the old friend, including the data stolen from Xehanort's laboratory in Hollow Bastion. Hanekoma doesn't approve of his disciple's path but is powerless to stop him directly. The best he can do for now is try to help the Composer's proxy to win the game with the Conductor in hopes of convincing Joshua that blotting out all light is not in his best interests, even if he has allied himself to darkness. If Hanekoma were to ever figure out and utilize the Heartless Form ability he's been told of in detail from Joshua then it could potentially act as a bypass to his power seal...
