Audition post (400 words):

Crash. Boom. The sounds of fireworks sounded off as a figure dressed in black walked down the streets, slipping through the crowd of people who stood in the courtyard in front of a grand chinese palace. He got about halfway to the front of the palace when he was stopped by three soldiers. They told him that he was to either leave or to prepare to die. The figure chuckled.

"I was asked by the emperor to act as a personal bodyguard. I merely wear this outfit to confuse the one who is said to strike tonight. If he thinks someone else from his little order is going to do the deed, well then, he won't very well risk exposure to be safe. Or do you want your precious emperor to die?" the figure spoke calmly, saying this because he knew the soldiers wouldn't dare interfere if they believed stopping him would put their emperor in danger. They apologized, then stepped aside. The figure moved forward once more.

'I didn't have to end my charade to get past them. Good. Things would've been much more difficult if I had revealed myself too soon.' Saïx thought as he continued to make his way through the crowd. As he neared the front of the crowd, soldiers ran in front of him, and some stopped shortly behind him. He knew something had just went wrong.

"What seems to be the matter men? As I told your friends earlier, I was hired by the emperor to protect him, I am merely wearing a disguise."

"Liar! The man the emperor hired is right here!" a soldier replied, moving just enough for a man wearing japanese style clothing to get through. Saïx chuckled.

What makes you think that he isn't the lying one?" Saïx asked trying to force his little trick to last a little longer.

The bodyguard held out his fist palm up. Then he opened it and revealed the emperors crest, showing that he was indeed the real deal.

"You've found me out. Too bad. I was hoping I wouldn't have to end my charade." Saïx said as he removed his hood, revealing his yellow eyes and long blue hair. He held his hand up and his claymore appeared. His rather calm looking face changed into that of a crazed monster lusting for fresh blood, though only by expression.

"BEGONE!" Saïx cried as he began swinging his weapon wildly, slamming it into the ground in front of him. This caused a shockwave, forcing the soldiers to fall down. He spun around and did this once more, knocking even more soldiers, as well as civilians to fall down. He then regained his composure and made his weapon disappear. He disappeared into a dark portal, which seemed to have sprouted from inside of him. Another dark portal appeared just to the left of the emperor, and it vanished, leaving Saïx there, next to the emperor, who unfortunately only had a couple of cowardly guards nearby. At the site of what had just happened, they took off. Saïx grabbed ahold of the emperor, opened a dark portal and shoved him in.

"Come on emperor. You have business to discuss with The Superior." Saïx followed him afterwards, and the portal vanished, leaving the courtyard full of people leaderless, scared, and confused.

The main problem I have with this post is that Saix never beats around the bush. He's a very straightforward, apathetic person. Sneaking around and taking on a cover is more of Xigbar's thing in my mind. You got that he can go a bit crazy, but even with that, I didn't feel Saix.

Although I somewhat agree with DW, I can also see that Saix might take on a cover.

Most importantly, though, I see the personality there, which is what matters.

So I agree with both DW and Avenger, XD.

I personally wished he seemed more...intelligent, either in his thoughts or speech because it seemed he may be the smarter of the nobodies, but in this situation it really didn't call for a lot of "intelligence". He does seem cold and the most Nobody-like (other than Xemnas) of them all here, so I think you have that down. I'm glad you mentioned that his calm and stoic demeanor was a charade, which is one of the biggest points. He's naturally a savage and uncontrolled berserker.

And considering it seems he was on a mission, the "beating around the bush" could be his orders, and now how he'd normally do it. So....
