Audition post (400 words): Metal clanged and sparked as swords clashed on the green, bloody battlefield. In the middle of the field, a man with unbelievable strength stood, slashing down any goblin that dared to approach. A sneer flashed on the face of the man as he decapitated a goblin flying through the air. This man was known as Caim. Caim, the legendary warrior of his lands. Caim ran through the crowds of the two clashing armies, slashing apart each enemy as it stood in his way. Caim seemed to get some kind of sick pleasure out of seeing an enemy's guts flow out of his stomach. Something that both disturbed him...and fueled him.
Caim. Your thirst for blood is horrendous. Let the minions go and just take down the leaders!
Caim stopped dead in his tracks. Was that...Angelus? There was no way. He had seen Angelus become the Seal and disappear into the light to hide from the evil that sought to destroy her. He knew she was still alive, but he also knew she was long gone. It must have only been an old thought resurfacing. Caim spun around just in time to block an attack from a giant troll.
The black haired man stared up at the creature from under his bangs and laughed (although no sound came out). The troll attacked again, slamming its sword to the ground and Caim jumped back. He then proceeded to run up the blade, always staying balanced. He jumped into the air, and stabbed into the troll's head, running up the head and around, sliding down the back with his sword still in the creature. The troll split in half and Caim landed with his sword raised out at his side.
Onward, Caim! To the castle!
Caim stopped again. He spun around. Castle? There was no castle! What was happening!? Where are you, Angelus!? he called out in his mind with his noble sounding accent.
You kill the child, and your soul will never be free again.
Caim dropped to his knees. A single tear rolled down his face. Why was he being taunted by his old friend? Why was she repeating all of the things she used to tell him? That's when Caim saw it. A sorcerer standing in front of him. The creature smiled a toothy, evil grin. Caim suddenly realized that he had given the sorcerer his friend's name. He-could-not-live.
Caim stood up and ran at the Sorcerer who promptly changed into the form of his old enemy, Manah. Lalalalalalalalala. The Watchers dance! Caim continued running, not caring about the distraction. The sorcerer changed again, this time into Caim's old friend, Inuart. I am strong now, Caim! Caim continued to charge, his sword ready to pierce when the sorcerer did something unexpected. It changed one last time into Caim's late sister, Furiae. It Begins...again.... Caim tried to pull back, but it was too late!
He had killed his sister! He had killed her! But no! It was the sorcerer that he had killed! Stay strong Caim!
Remember our pact...!
