(Inspired by the current FM situation. And written in about five minutes. So sue me.)
Many stood in confusion, hearing the last of what would be the last words of someone who had meaned so much to all of them. They stood, some with a puzzled look, others with an expression of fear. "How could this of happened? This must be a joke." said the crowd. Yes, the man of the boy who had lead them so far had done his worst, and finally left him. They knew in their hearts they should let the new man go, but still didn't want him to leave.
And there they were. Lost, confused. Where would they go from now, with the leader they knew and loved absent from their life?
But, there was a glimmer of hope on this dark day. Two stepped up to the microphone. One was a girl who they had all known so much as well. The woman had been known to help their fearless leader in times of need. The other? He was known, but rarely showed his mask among the others in the crowd. He had something else to attend to, something only known outside of the doors that surrounded the room.
The place was grey, but filled with pictures and the imagination of those who had made those. They were all of a boy with brown, spikey hair that wielded a key. No one knew that boy, though their children had known of him in the greatest degree...
The lady, blurry and yet clear, spoke to the crowd, optimism teaming in her voice. Some were lightened by her smooth, gentle tone. Others? They were terrified. This person who had just been one of them a few mere moments ago was now going to lead them, with the other person? What would they do?
Would they change them?
Would they ruin the room they loved so much? Or would they make it something better, something that the fearless leader never could've done?
The truth is, no one knew. They stood in a mix of emotions. But one, a mask of a duck and blue is all they knew him by, stood. He walked to the front of the room, still below the two new leaders. The pedestal was above him, but they would all hear him speak.
"A dark day, this might be... But we will pass through this, as we have done before! We will make this room better then what ever it was before! I ask that if you won't give these two brave people even a chance to help lead our way, then leave our sacred room, and move onto another..."
And guess what? No one left.
