Announcement: Site Direction

I'm going to try and make this short, sweet, and simple for all of you out there. I'm apparently the only true staff member who is not currently M.I.A. due to a variety of situations. Iris, as most of you already know, has problems getting past the main page, which is a problem on her end to most of my knowledge. DW, has school to consider before FM, which is the way it should be. No one should be on this site if they are sacrificing education in order to RP. On the other hand I've no clue what happened to Bilby, but I hope I can find an answer to that soon enough.Now then, the site. All I can tell you is that FM will not shut its doors again. We will persist. That is my official declaration. Though we are down to only a few loyal members there is no chance we're going to lock up like before.

Some have said that changing FM would go against its original purpose, which was to break away from KHRPF essentially, and establish a more functional, more elite style of RPing, which included plots, (formerly) awesome arena battles, and even a new template for the most part.

I believe we have moved past that point where we needed to prove something to what is basically our mother site. Final Mix has evolved into something else, something that is ours and ours alone. Few people really give a shit about our split anymore, hell the new generation of users on KHRPF doesn't even know of our original directive. They look on us as another Kingdom Hearts Forum. While, that may be, I feel the members and staff here strive to achieve something original, and more exciting than the typical cut and dry form of RPing that has befallen so many other roleplaying forums. So let us get rid of our current doom and gloom attitude and achieve that "something", whatever that may be.

I'll stop with that little speech for now and focus on the current situation. Here's a few points you should take in right now.

-The site is experiencing downtime. I KNOW ALREADY. Stop repeating it thousands of times on the C-box. We will never get any new members or progress anywhere if you all keep saying the same thing, and most of you have been doing that from what I've seen.

-Verba non Acta- Words not Actions is essentially what I want this time around. It is still perfectly acceptable to roleplay a smashing battle with dragons, swords, carrier pigeons and the like, but we don't need to do it all the time. This will be stressed time and time again especially when the plot comes around, which brings me to...

- ....PLOT IS ON HIATUS ONLY. IT WILL BE BACK

- For now I'll be acting as the de facto leader of FM until the others have found time to return. I don't especially like taking supreme authority since I myself have things to do, but it is simply what needs to be done. Though I have a striking suspicion I do not know what I'm getting into.

- To anyone who has a pending profile- GO RP! You are not allowed to battle, but you can do everything else. Chances are it will be awhile before I can get around to actively accepting profiles out the wazoo.

- I feel this will happen eventually so let me make it perfectly clear. The staff will not be accepting any new staff members to my knowledge. Unless the other three simply quite right off the bat no one is going to be the new mod so don't ask.

For now that's all I can say. Any reforms to FM will be put on hold till I can get a good grip of the situation. Please be patient for the moment. Have fun and RP. I hope to see more member-created personal plots around so that we don't all die from boredom as a select few have short attention spans.

Oh yeah this is locked as an argument would inevitably start up. Don't even try to deny that.

[Memories]

So begins the first round of updates I have for you all, which will directly affect the site and yourself in some way. I have only three for the moment:

• Equips will no longer be available effective Dec. 1. Reason? Only one or two people have ever bought anything from there. Equips will instead make a return in a different form later down the line. Those select few who have equips will still be able to keep them however this is subject to change if necessary. The Shop will also be renamed and moved to the Character Management board at the aforementioned date.
  
• A devilishly top secret system to handle Keyblades is being developed by myself. I have no set date as to when I will officially announce the new system, but I hope everyone will be satisfied with the finished product.. To give you a hint the system will be based around the anecdote from the original KH, which states that "the keyblade chooses its wielder."
  
• Among the changes I've mentioned so far, an Activity Check will be taking place at or around Dec. 1. This will hopefully establish who is still interested and willing to stick with FM for the long haul.
  

It is surprising that I actually kept my word and only listed three updates. Well then that's all I have for the moment. Wanna guess when the next round of updates will take place? Dec. 1!
