"There's a long history of betrayal in my family, which is something most people just don't know. Case in point: Zeus."
"Did you know he off'd his own dad? It's true! Then again, old Cronus had it comin' to him. Take it from a guy who grew up in that jerk's stomach; Cronos will not be missed. Not by me, at least. Even before that, betrayal just seemed to run in the family. Cronus killed Ouranos, Zeus killed Cronos; it's a vicious cycle, really."
"Why, then, am I the black sheep for trying up uphold such a long-standing tradition? I mean, seriously!"
"And then there's Zeus' wide circle of "social acquaintances". Those Muses sing about Hercules as if he were bolt-boy's first kid -- gimme a break! Then again, it's no surprise they don't mention ol' thunder's mass womanizing... considering they're his daughters by - get this - not Hera, but Mnemosyne! How messed up is that?! Huh?"
"And people have the gall to get on my case about the whole Persephone thing!"
"I just really, really don't get why everybody makes Zeus out to be this impeccable, can-do-no-wrong godhead while treating me, Hades, like the devil. I mean, sure, nobody wants to die, but have a little pity on the guy saddled with the world's dirtiest job. It's not easy dealing with dead people, ya know. I'm like the coroner of the cosmos, and the cadavers just keep coming in non-stop, twenty-four seven, three-sixty-five (or three-oh-four, for those of you on the Roman calendar)."
"Not only that, but no one ever mentions any of my accomplishments! Zeus didn't bring all the Titans down on his own, you know. I had to help him with that little war! Oh... and Poseidon was there too, but he didn't really do much. Just saying."
"Yet all I ever hear is 'Zeus'. Zeus, Zeus, Zeus... what's so great about that jerk? If ya ask me - which you don't have to, but I'll tell ya anyway - he's nothing but a stage-stealing, brat-breeding, high on his cloud aristocratic punk who can get away with doing whatever he pleases. Does the world really need a guy like that running it? I think not. In fact, I think I could do a much, much better job given half a chance."
"Yet what do I get in the end? Bullied by that hero-boy Hercules and tossed in the Lethe. Then beaten over the head with a Keyblade, and later tossed in the slime again. Does this seem fair to you?"

Physical appearance:
"Yup, that's me: Hades, Lord of the Dead! How many other gods do you know who look that good after several hundred thousand years in the dark? Like the robe? I had it custom tailored. Making a business suit that's fit for a god isn't exactly cheap, ya know."
"... Is my chin really that long? Geez, these mortal artists can't get anything right!"

Alignment: Chaotic Evil
Behavior:
"Eh, what can I say? I'm an ambitious guy with plans for world domination. Is that really so... wrong?"
"People tell me I've got a fiery temper (usually right after I've burned something to the ground), but isn't that just another way of saying I'm passionate about my work? I mean, sure, my actions cause people to get hurt on occasion along with a dose of chaos and destruction, but take it from someone who's intimate with the deceased: it all works out in the end. I mean, everybody who's mortal dies! It's just a matter of how, where, and when. I see myself as bringing... a little spice into people's lives and making that transition from life to death a memorable one. It's a lot like fireworks. Everybody loves a fiery bloom of death when it's up in the sky... but when it's on the ground the results are just so much more interesting!"
"I also like to think of myself as a hobbyist lawyer. I've made a lot of deals in my time, the whole Orpheus thing for example. As a god, I can make contracts that are legally and supernaturally binding, so needless to say I like to keep up to date with all things litigation to avoid anyone pulling a loophole. Of course, this tends to make people see me as something of a scheming devil... eh, people's opinions are over-rated, anyway."

~Weapons~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
["Burn, baby, BURN!"]
It can rightly be said that Hades himself is a weapon, able to become completely immersed in a raging crimson inferno when his temper spikes. This makes attacking the Lord of Death in close combat a tricky endeavor, as Hades' short fuse and self-assured superiority means he could go off like a Santorini volcano with very little provocation. When this happens the usually weak-limbed god takes on an entirely different and ferocious outlook, throwing flaming punches that are able to crack solid stone.
~Abilities~
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
[Netherworld Flames]
Hades can quickly conjure melon-sized fireballs from his own godly power, lobbing them at his opponents or anything else he feels like destroying. On impact, these balls of infernal wrath have a splash zone of roughly two feet.
Strength: Moderate
Uses: Twice per post.
Duration: One turn (side effects, such objects lit on fire, will last as long as is reasonable in the situation)
Radius: Projectile. Max distance of fifteen feet. Splash damage within two feet of impact.
[Black Vapor Chains]
Curling tendrils of foggy black energy reach up from the ground, wrapping themselves around a single human-sized target (or smaller) and holding them firmly in place.
Strength: Moderate
Uses: Once per battle.
Duration: Two turns. Hades cannot use another ability on the same turn he uses Black Vapor Chains.
Radius: Target must be within seven feet of Hades. If the distance becomes more than that, the Black Vapor Chains will fade away into nothing but smoke. Also, Hades cannot use this ability on a target that is out of sight or in some other way concealed.
[Smoke Screen]
With a snap of his fingers, the brave god of death can create a large plume of thick smoke and use it to bravely run away. Alternately, it can be used to make a really snazzy entrance.
Strength: Weak
Uses: Twice per battle.
Duration: Two turns.
Radius: In a small room, the smoke will spread until it's spilling out the doors. In a larger or open space it will spread to about thirty five feet before beginning to dissipate.
[Underworld Curse]
The famed curse of the Underworld is Hades' ace in the hole when dealing with trouble in his own domain, sapping the fighting strength of his foes while locking down their combat advantages. The curse is active so long as Hades is within the boundaries of the Underworld (having made at least one post in the same Underworld RP thread as those characters effected) and conscious; should the Lord of the Dead be KO'd then the effects of the curse are immediately lifted. While active, the Underworld Curse prevents all characters that are Hades' enemies (or simply not allied with him) from gaining the benefits of any and all enhancements, regardless of their nature.
For instance, a character casting Haste in the Underworld would find the spell completely unusable. A character with a passive Ability that increased their strength, whether by magic or pure physical advantage, would also find that increase gone. Any enhancement, passive or active, whether from an Ability, Equip, or Weapon Ability, has absolutely no effect in the Underworld so long as Hades is present. Additionally, every seven turns a character that's effected by the curse automatically suffers damage to their stamina equivalent to a Weak attack Ability -- this does not damage the character's body or health, just their physical and mental capacity to fight.
The curse does not effect Hades' allies or the god himself, and he may willfully exempt anyone from the curse's effects at any time. Also, an attack Ability of the element of Light that's Strong or Super-Strong can disrupt the curse for ten turns if it hits Hades directly.
Strength: Strong
Uses: Passive; only usable in the Underworld
Equip
Super Glide
Essentially, this is flight. Unlike Glide, you can travel at 30 MPH in any direction. You still can't make super sharp turns, but sharper than Glide's. Once initiated, it lasts 5 posts, and cannot be used for 6 of your posts.
Warp
This equip allows the user to transport themselves instantly from one location to another in the same area regardless of distance or impediment. Warp can not be activated if the user is being directly held by an opponent or an opponent's ability. The location Warp arrives at can not be within a two meter radius of another character. All of the user's presently active abilities end and vanish when Warp is activated. Three uses per battle and can not be used again for 10 of your posts.

Appearance:
The original hell-hound, few who look upon Cerberus' fearsome triad visage can do other than quake in fear. Teeth sharp as swords, jaws big enough to swallow a man whole with no effort whatsoever... brimming with muscle and canine ferocity, it's no wonder Hades chose this monstrous beast to guard the Underworld. Cerberus is almost twenty feet tall and when he rears up it becomes clear that from tail to fangs the gigantic attack dog is even longer than a city bus. Cerberus' every footstep shakes the ground, and when this colossal beast of war runs loose it leaves disaster in its wake.
Abilities:
AP: 0
[Dark Breath Geyser]
[Gathering a surge of dark energies in its three mouths, Cerberus lets loose a torrent of dark power that sinks into the ground, manifesting over the next six turns as five-foot wide gushes of darkness erupting from underfoot. Three of these Dark Breath Geysers automatically appear underneath Cerberus' enemies each turn so long as they're within 200 feet of where the dark energy went into the ground. While it is certainly possible to avoid these dark eruptions it would require most foes to focus exclusively on evasion to dodge all three each turn.]
[Alternately, Cerberus can use Dark Breath Geyser as a direct weapon, aiming the initial torrent of darkness at a single enemy or target. If this is done then regardless of whether the energy touches the ground or not it won't create dark eruptions. The dark blast is strong enough to knock most foes back at least ten feet on impact, to say nothing of how much damage it does.]
Strength: Strong
Uses: Five times per battle
[Fireballs]
[Each of Cerberus' heads can spit out a fireball the size of a small car each turn, with a fiery splash damage zone of ten feet on impact. These blasts of fire lack homing ability and aren't especially fast, but anything unlucky enough to be hit by them shall greatly regret the encounter. The fireballs move at roughly 5 miles per hour (equal to a brisk jog) and fall apart in the air after going any further than 70 feet.]
Strength: Strong
Uses: Three fireballs per turn, one from each head
[Shockwave]
[Rearing back, Cerberus slams its front paws onto the ground so hard it creates a shockwave that goes out across the ground thirty feet in every direction before dissipating. While not a particularly devastating attack it does push back any enemies caught in the shockwave and deal some minor damage in the process. Sadly, anyone with their wits about them can dodge the shockwave by jumping a few feet in the air.]
Strength: Weak
Uses: Once every four turns
Elemental Resistance: Darkness
Elemental Weakness: Light
History:
From times of old this terrible beast has served the grim lord of the dead, a fearsome sentinel ever guarding the path between the living world and the world below. Some say that Hades found Cerberus as a pup, alone and outcast because of his rare deformity, and imbued the small dog with dark power and hideous strength. Others say that Cerberus was originally a pet of the Titans, claimed by Hades after Zeus cast down the elder gods in the Titanomachy. What is without doubt, however, is that Cerberus has been in Hades' service for so long -- and been in the underworld for so many ages -- that little besides the grim lord's beck and call can effect the terrifying monster's vicious demeanor. There's hardly a chew toy big enough or tough enough; Cerberus plays 'fetch' with whole trees as his sticks, and if you think you can put a leash on this macro-rottweiler you're in for a most unpleasant thrashing.
Sit. Stay. Devastate.

The staff is chosen. Above it floats a small azure-blue flame. Of this, Hades approves.
