Angelo should have heeded his own words instead of trying to tell Riku this. The remaining blasts of darkness that Riku had fired off destroyed the three aura orbs that were coming his way. This caused a small explosion between the two warriors that would temporarily hide Riku from Angelo.
Riku had the option of using this time to run and plan again but chose to stay in his spot. Holding his hand out to the side, a flash of blue and white light shot from his hand and his Way to Dawn Keyblade appeared. Instantly after grabbing it, a coat of blue and white energy covered the entire Keyblade except for the handle, forming a blade shaped barrier of energy that increased the range of the Keyblade. Riku went into a defensive position waiting for Angelo to either come through the cloud of smoke or from another direction. He was also keeping a watch for Sephiroth from the corner of his eye just in case.
The blasts of darkness that Riku fired at Sephiroth easily hit their target, adding on to the damage that he took after being electrocuted by Reikas quick thinking attack. Even if he was about to try and strike her again with another attack, he would be prevented from doing so as the blasts of darkness hit him, giving Reika some extra time to get some distance. Riku knew the darkness wouldn't kill Sephiroth it was just meant to cause a distraction while doing some damage along the way.

((OOC: When did the rules change and let attackers determine damage? I didn't defer the darkness attack, Reika's actions were going to determine how that was treated. I don't think you can say if Sephiroth suffers Reika's attack damage either.)) The choices before Sephiroth that Reika took were a pity honestly. Did she take him for a novice who would just let himself get shocked, especially when she telegraphed her move? And hadn't she noticed that electricity didn't bother Sephiroth? Much less the darkness balls Riku had hurled at him. And now she had miraculously rolled away, yet being hit by Shadow Flare full on meant her insides had been crushed easily, and any lucidity she might be feeling was the lightheaded feeling before shock took effect. Sephiroth's decision was obvious, even before Reika had tapped Masamune he targeted the blade with Shadow Flare, meeting the electricity in the metal just as he jammed the blade into the arena stone floor. Darkness outlined the blade, while light filled the entire portion of the arena Sephiroth was occupying and the darkness balls met the outer light explosion. Though she would suffer less damage, the electricity Reika had charged into the blade met with Shadow Flare and enhanced the explosion, light and darkness bolts fired out from the explosion's area easily capable of damaging anyone within the arena. Sephiroth was encased in the darkness in the middle which lifted, he appeared otherwise fine. Reika had gotten lucky once, but just rolling about was not going to save her from the outer explosion of Shadow Flare, which in her condition, was more than enough to finish her off. Sephiroth turned to Riku. "It's really a shame your partner moved in time, I was going to have you kill her. Irony is a great thing, though, you've never been one to care much for others, right Riku? You can still give up, from what I've seen you're not taking me seriously. I'm merciful, however...Sora was doing better than you at this rate. He wasn't much to see honestly." Sephiroth brought up Masamune in a guard, egging on Riku to try his luck. "You're outclassed child."

Angelo ran straight into the explosion. He did a sharp turn while in the cover and ran for Sephiroth. He held his sword back. He fired a fire ball at Reika so it was a bit high so it would hit her if she rolled to that side. He fired aura web at her to completely trap her, if not partially. He jumped up and charged his sword with pulse aura, then threw it at Reika so it would hit the floor next to her and bounce up at her and cut her if she didn't roll. If she did roll away from the fire ball it would hit her directly. No matter what it would fire a pulse on contact.

(I think the real question is, how does Sephiroth know anything about Riku when this was the first time they had ever met? Did Sora talk about Riku when they fought or something? But what makes you determine how much damage Sephiroth receives or gives? Shadow flare does do alot of damage, but you can't say that it prevents an opponent from still fighting or doing anything else. The only ability you have that can allow you to not take damage is the invincible equip, and you have to not move for an entire post, which has yet to occur.)
Riku saw Sephiroth using his Shadow Flare once again but this time, as more of a defense than anything. Reika would be killed if he didn't do something in time, so Riku had to do something before it was too late. Reika would soon see a wall of crystallized energy form in front of her. Riku had used Shell Aura in order to protect her from the after effects of Sephiroths Shadow Flare. It continued to linger there as Angelo went running past Sephiroth firing a blast of fire at her as well as his web aura. The shield managed to block both attacks since they weren't very strong allowing Reika to continue on fighting. Even his pulse aura wouldn't have the strength to break through the shell aura that Riku created.
Riku looked back at Sephiroth smirking at the SOLDIER, "You should really take time to see if you killed someone before spitting stupid out stuff like that." Riku motioned Sephiroth to take a look back in Reikas area so he could see for himself. He then kicked his foot off the ground jumping back a few feet, quickly firing a continuous blast of blue and black flamed darkness directly at Sephiroth. From Sephiroths stance, Riku knew that he was about to attack him with a very strong attack that would be difficult to evade. Sora had mentioned this attack to Riku a while back and it was beginning to look as though he would get to witness it first hand. But Riku would make sure to take any precautions in order to not get hit.

This arena match is locked until further notice due to problems that have arisen. They will be addressed properly.
Problem has been dealt with that this thread was locked for. Riku is disqualified. Reika is alone. HOWEVER, after reading all the posts between Reika and Sephiroth, I have one thing I'd like to point out. There is a point where if I understood right Sephiroth used Reika as a shield for Riku's dark aura. Reika then posted, and I'm not sure if she is being used in such a way or not. Kempff's post at the moment seems logical giving the fact of Reika's condition, BUT, I told Shinn this made me uneasy and I would deal with it, and I intend to. If it is nothing to worry about, nothing will be done. If Katsumi is at fault, I won't do anything since she is pretty much screwed here anyway. Kempff, if you are at fault for this issue, you will be punished, even if only slightly.
Go ahead and finish guys. Katsumi, Kempff, I'd say my office now, but I don't have one. Send me pms explaining that whole situation...

"...I-I have failed..." She gasped out, her voice a whisper. Broken. Almost not heard.
The first explosion had done it's take on her, but another?
"...I can't die..."
But...you have nothing left...
"I won't...." Her insides felt like they were ripping apart,"...die without a FIGHT..." either way even if she had tried to move she probably wouldn't have gotten far, with the damage she had sustained during the first explosion and now another. She gathered all the energy she could into the largest arc of lightening that her power would let her, shaping it into a bolt of lighting she threw it towards where Sephiroth had been. Just before she felt a pulse from Angelo's attacks. She was sent flying backwards on the field, rolling on the arena floor.
Moments later, she stopped rolling leaving a trail of where she had rolled. She did not get up...

Victory goes to NO ONE!
After a little conversation with Kempff and Shinn, I have come to the following conclusion.
SHINN AND KEMPFF get their own match, and then it'll be Angelo, Reika, and Iznan against Kuja. Both Kempff and Riku are DQ'd. I will figure out a way to make the three on one match work.
Shinn, feel free to use whatever character you want in that match. Kempff has told me he will start the thread, because I informed him of this. Also, the loser bracket match (Shinn and Kempff) will NOT have ability restrictions. The other rules still apply however, except one thing. I will allow the two to decide if their match is AU or not.
To make things simple, story wise, Riku and Sephiroth forfeit, and Reika and Angelo moved on. Phil then inspired by an unknown person changed the match up to three on one.

Actually, I was more concerned about losing my partnership with Kuja. Although it is upsetting that Iznan didn't get to beat you.
