Okay, I think I've gone part of the way towards solving the two text puzzles Rocket has laid out for us, although I strongly suspect I need a better translator and/or one of the languages isn't the right one. Still, it's my best attempt.  TEXT: Nic Nie Jest Stale

Ooh. Nice work finding the second one. (The second text hint was hidden in the Castle Oblivion Quest image as an animated image. If you sit around long enough, it'll change and show you that text.)
Doing nicely so far, especially for this having only begun! Keep in mind, though, that those phrases were put there knowing you'd translate 'em eventually. ^_^ Don't think they won't be confusing.
I won't be helping you guys figure out the clues, but I will tell you when you figure something out correctly. For example, the two languages you've picked out are correct for each text. Make a guess here (or in a PM to me if you don't want to share your findings) and I'll let you know if the gist of it is right.
You're also right that your translator is in major need of non-suckness. What're you using?
And I'm not commenting on the potatoes. >.>

For the first one: InterTran. Second one was done using the assorted tools found here. Out of curiosity -- and I realize this is almost entirely off topic --... Rocket, are you multi-lingual? Just curious. EDIT: Do we have to wait for Dante to post, or can Mickey and Magus talk for a bit in the meantime? |

Your translation sites aren't as good as the tool I'm using is all. ^_^
Best of luck with that. I'll tell you what translation thing I'm using, though, after you figure out those two bits!

Feel free to do that. I'll only really be picky about post order in battles or tense situations. Be careful not to be rude to Dante by ignoring him, though. And try not to leave a potential partner behind or offended. IC and OOC.
Just.... you know. A little bit of talking is okay, like one or two more posts from you and Mickey, but beyond that I'll ask for a hold off. We're not going to ignore Dante or put him in an awkward starting position!

So... are we going to find out what the source of the glow was? If I had to guess I'd say it's connected to that podium somehow; am I right?

The glow won't be explained directly, but it shouldn't be too hard to figure out.

And podium isn't really what I meant. Remember that platform that brings the door up a bit? That's what I meant. I'll go clarify that now.

I won't deny being surprised that you're not asking why all the lights went out, or why the only light on in the Castle is that first hall. But that's just me, I suppose. >.>
