HOLY MOLY. A MONTH AND A WHAT?!
*ahem*
Ladies an' germs, conundrum time. At the current rate, the whole Quest'll be over... sometime next year. And then some. Thirteen floors and all that! (OH NOES. SPOILER!)
So here's the new deal: Each floor will be an individual Quest. Doing this has some good bits, some bad:
Let's start with the good parts!
-Cameos can be full-fledged parts, meaning big whopping prizes are guaranteed! Only without the big and the whopping. Guess it kinda depends though, right? Wait... I guess that means there aren't cameos![Advantage: You!]
-Those of us that don't want to go the whole year can choose to bow out without having to buy the LEMME RUN AWAY FROM THIS QUEST item. Smoke bomb or something. Also, "us" doesn't include me. [Advantage: You!]
-The reward for sticking through to the end is five times as rewarding, and not just 'cause it's like a bajillion Quests in one. [Advantage: You!]
-The small stuff you pick up in the Floors don't have to be held off on actually "getting" for a year! Those synthesis items you find will be yours that much sooner! [Advantage: You!]
-I don't have to wait a year an' a half to be given the final A-OK (or NAY) on full QMship! YAAAAY~ [Advantage: Me!]
And now for the bads...
-Less flow, I suppose. The story might suffer a bit because of the divvying up. Not to mention plot holes for people joining in on a later Floor! XD [Disadvantage: All of us...]
-We'll be pulling in one or two week breaks at worst while I get/finalize the sign ups, and then reorganize the plot accordingly. Again, breakage in flow. T_T [Disadvantage: All of us...]
I think that's all that comes to mind... alrighty then!
Cameo rules have changed, obviously. ^_^ I will be limiting the "main three" that progress through the Castle to just that: three. Anyone who signs on for a Floor when the three have all said they plan on continuing to that Floor will have to talk with me about how their character will fit in plot-wise and so on. It's the kinda thing that we'll figure out when the time comes.
Questions welcome! Continuing all the way through is highly encouraged! Continuing members (That's you Heroic Bilby, Dante, and Nascent!) can say right away whether or not they plan on continuing to Floor 2 now, by saying so here. All you Cameo peoples are considered "signed up" already. You can ask about bowing out, if you like. And don't worry Brezzen! You won't be too far off!
Alright, so to recap! Quest is no longer one single thing. Each floor will be it's own Quest. The rules have changed some, but still generally apply. Story, too.

Ha. Funny enough I was going to suggest something similar to this, even with the summer's potential to speed things up.
The 'break time' between quests shouldn't break flow too much though. As long as the 'original three' keep going then sign-ups won't be necessary to wait for again right?

I like the idea. It makes a bit of sense to me to make the quest longer. I'm staying in, since this is my personal favorite quest. [Castle Oblivion is O.K. Mushrooms.... not so much..]

Well, I'm hoping to get a cameo in around every other floor. Just to keep things different! And moving! And interesting! So yeah, there probably wouldn't be quite that much of a wait between Floors, but I'm thinking it'll be a "We'll cross that bridge when we come to it!" kinda thing.
Dante, are you not a fan of malevolent mushrooms? I find felonius fungi to be fascinating!
And alliteration is awesome. Just letting you know.
What about you Nascent? Or High? Or Brezzen? Or the rest of you?

Sorry about the late response, but I'm definitely game on the new setup. I aim to see this through till the end, no matter how long it may take. Also, I'll try to post a bit more frequently (as I realize my slow responses have been part of the reason Floor 1 has taken so long). Onward, for great justice!  |

Nascent, no one's holding anyone up until they finish their respective floors. And, heck, if one side made it to the finish line before the other, I'd turn 'em around and point them in their ally's direction! Vice versa applies too. ^_^
I'm glad to see everyone's interested in seeing this through to the end! Cliche as it may sound, you won't regret it!

See, thing is, I noticed about a week ago that it was actually my turn. Sorry. but at the time I was busy and I thought Dante was still away on extended leave, so I didn't think it huge priority to post anyway. And then I got sick and have been away for until now. Sorry 'bout the first part. Won't apologize for getting sick though. =P
