Note: At Mr. Akito's behest I shall be using two unapproved, or rather unpaid for, Strong level abilities. It appears to me that both Akito and I have agreed to aforementioned abilities; however, I would like not to step on any toes so will post them here as well. Srsly.
Midas Strand: !Status Effect Ability! Honed to perfection, Iznan has taken many of the drawbacks of this ability and eliminated them; furthermore, not only has he drawn back on the drawbacks, but his ability to use them effectively and constantly is far greater. The Midas Strand is a gift from the gods, obtained by combining the energy of the other two gods. By channeling small amounts of magic energy into his fingertips and brushing them across any solid surface long tendrils of concentrated magic will grow up to seven twenty feet from that surface. These tendrils are ultimately the most dangerous thing in Iznan's arsenal. Essentially the way this ability works is this: By channeling the magical energy into his fingertips he is, for all intents and purposes, making seeds of magic. When they are absorbed into a surface, the seeds then perform all of their own necessary functions. These functions include acquiring their own nutrients, growing and expanding on their own, et cetera (by feeding magic to them he can accelerate or skip this process). Thus it is easily seen how very little magic energy goes into their creation, and how they can be pumped out so rapidly. It is once they have grown that the strands become deadly. These long white threads of magic seek out any organic substance, latch onto it, and (depending on the nature of the thread) begin siphoning energy from that target. How this affects another being is easy enough to see. Drowsiness and slowed movement are the major items factoring into this unconventional attack. Additionally, through intense training, Iznan can reform the nature of the threads. Now, he is not solely limited to threads that slow, but he also has threads that inflict moderate poison damage (Poison), and threads that cause the enemy to take damage equal to the damage he deals to Iznan (Curse). [Iznan will be unable to physically attack while using Curse strands] However, there are still a few weaknesses. First and foremost, this attack is purely defensive in nature, and only an enemy who wants to be effected will be. Although the reasoning may seem obscure, it's true. These threads of magic are only effective if the enemy walks into them. The magic strings grow straight out from the surface they've been planted on and move very little, so as long as one is careful and wary they can be avoided. Additionally, one might normally fear the "Never-ending Chain-Status". But there is a major flaw in this magic that prohibits chaining status effects. When the threads latch onto an enemy, they emit a sort of magical anti-pheromone that prevents any more threads from attaching to that target. The magic residue of these lasts for two turns after dissipation, which means a full two posts of free movement among the magical threads.
And then there's the last major drawback. Yes, when the thread's latch onto a target they leach magical energy, but when they dissipate they disperse magical energy, a large amount of which is reabsorbed back into the victim. This magic absorption acts as a shot of adrenaline, heightening power and senses. The larger the amount of threads the stronger the adrenaline. Combined with the anti-pheromone residue, this can be hugely disadvantageous to Iznan.
10 Threads catching in one post=1Post of Slow/Headache/Curse 20 T=2PS/H/C 30 T=3PS/H/C 40+ T=2Posts of Paralyzation/Excruciating Pain/Pacifism
Strength: Strong Uses: Ungodly amounts can be made per turn with little or no detriment to his magical state. There is no cool down, and there is no charge. They last only two turns on their own, but can be sustained indefinitely as long as Iznan has the power to spare. Without acceleration they grow to half height on their first turn, and to full height their second, before dissipating. At the beginning of every battle Iznan starts with the Slow threads, and must wait a minimum of five turns before he can change their status. Changing status effects has a five post cool-down. More on that: Although he can make many threads per turn, in many different locations, it’s far more advantageous for Iznan to keep these threads in a ten foot radius about him. Within a ten foot radius Iznan can maintain their growth and extend their life beyond that which would normally be expected. In fact, even if he doesn’t interfere with their growth, the threads can only live to their full life expectancy when inside this circle. All threads that grow outside this circle cannot have their lifetime extended, and will die at the end of the post before they reach full height. And there’s more. When Iznan takes no violent action for an entire post, (basically because he’s charging up for an “attack” if you will), he can fill the entire circle around him with threads. In all other instances, he must physically touch a surface to plant them.
Midas Web !Status Effect Technique! This is a far more advanced extension off of the first technique. It utilizes the same basic principles as regular Midas Strands but there is oh so much more. By slamming his hands down on the ground, Iznan can create a 10x10 foot wall of Midas strands that appear to be a spider web. This wall is equivalent to thirty midas strands, thus it causes three posts of a given status effect if touched. The wall itself is flimsy and paper thin; it collapses around the first thing to come barreling through it. This goes as well for projectiles and spells such as Fire, Blizzard, what have you (any spell capable of being touched). For projectiles however, the rules are slightly different. If a bullet were slowed its own movement would decrease drastically, if it were poisoned it would decay to nothing in midair, but if it were cursed the damage it did to Iznan would be done to the one who shot it. As an added plus if multiple objects come into contact with it at once, they all receive the three posts, rather than it being divided among them. Of course, this has several obvious weaknesses. First, it temporarily puts Iznan in a prone position (slamming his hands on the ground). Second, it can only appear directly in front of him (up to ten feet away in any direction). Third, he absolutely, absolutely needs a solid surface to use this ability. That leaves many different weak points. He can't block above him unless he has a wall to use, he can't block to either side unless he physically turns in that direction, etc.
Strength: Strong Uses: Once a turn. It lasts for three turns, requires no charge or cool down. Coming into even the barest of contacts with it guarantees three turns of status effect. It can be used offensively against enemies within ten feet of his person. Its appearance is instantaneous; as soon as his hands touch the ground it appears. Effective against projectiles and magic.
