Physical appearance ~ : Aly is
very much your average preteen. 5'6" ish, kinda pointy, flat
chest, and is spindly. Gangly. Awkward. Halfway between that
child part of life and growing up part.
She has brown hair with slightly lighter strips that run
along with the flow of her ponytail, which is long enough to
rub against her elbow, sometimes.
Eyes without irises, thanks to the Truesight Lenses she found in the Pride Lands Temple of the Seal. On an adult, these would be eyes to fear and respect. On the face of this child, they sharpen what would be an altogether awkward appearance to a determined one.
Clothing/Accessories ~ : Aly is currently traversing
about in a pair of faded grey jeans, a loose, dull orange,
long-sleeved shirt that's just a smidge too big on her, and
on top of that, an open black windbreaker that barely reaches
her waist. Black shoes, ponytail holder.

~Personality~
As you're walking through the door, you see many sights
that influence your mood. The different feelings that
suddenly wash over you are many, leaving you with a strange
mix of emotions.

Alignment ~ : She's not really sure anymore,
but if you asked her, she'd say good.
Behavior ~ : Aly... can be rather confusing to
understand. So bear with me when I say she's not supposed to
be easy to understand.
Timid - Aly can't stand being the center of attention.
Heck, she can barely stand one person trying to ask her what
her name is. She will run run run if there's just too much
attention being sent her way. However, there are exceptions.
Long time friends, usually of the same gender, or those she
have bonded with, like family or those who've gone through
situations with her.
Righteous - Aly is big on being good. She thinks of
herself as a good person, and will base decisions, big or
small, on which choice is the "better". However, her
perspective on "good" has been seriously challenged lately...
she's not exactly confident in herself anymore.
Loner - It might be through her timid habits that Aly
has gotten it into her head that she's a loner. That she
should be alone, because it's not worth the trouble of
involving others.
Socially Unaware - She doesn't make many friends. The
few who she becomes strong friends with, she'll almost always
believe, depend on, and believe in. She'll protect them to
the best of her limited ability.
Klutz - Aly... well, uh... um. She's just not
graceful. Let's go with that.
Knowledgeable - Her afternoons spent in the library or
in her room haven't gone to waste. Aly knows quite a bit. But
knowledge isn't the same as wisdom.

Bonded
Aly is bonded to Cwen (see summon below). This means that Aly
is more durable than most humans, and attacks of any kind are dulled down to the strength of a lesser ability. (If it's strong,
it would hit Aly like a Moderate attack, etc... Weak abilities are barely noticed, though still noticed.)
However, it has a cost. Any damage done to Cwen is also
received by Aly, though the damage isn't direct. (For
example, you can't knock Aly out by defeating Cwen. But you
can get halfway there.)
Strength: Strong

Equips
1. Truesight Lenses
Item Description: These contacts are plain contact lenses. They turn the color of the eyes of the wearer pure white, as if they were blind. IRREMOVABLE.
Item Ability: This item allows the wearer to 'see' energy, both the presence and absence of it. In practical terms, the wearer can pinpoint the precise location of anything within 50 feet of them, whether it's inanimate or animate, and can 'recognize' others by their distinct energy. However, the wearer cannot see with their eyes anymore, and must rely on the energy sight.

SummonsName: Cwen
Appearance: Cwen is, in appearance, very much a human.
She appears to be a 20-something year-old woman, with short,
cropped blonde hair that goes no further than her neck. Her
eyes are a dark shade of green, and has a very sharp look
about her. She either looks completely goofy or completely
serious. Odd, eh?
She tends to wear clothing that suits combat: nothing
flapping around, nothing slowing her down, and absolutely.
NO. HATS.
Other than that, her clothes are casual. They don't influence
battle whatsoever.
Abilities:
AP: 0/20
Unrivaled Grace:
Cwen is incredibly agile and fast, capable of impossible
feats of acrobatics and is very capable at avoiding most all
attacks and sometimes even gunfire (if she sees it coming/is
prepared). However, she can't attack and avoid at the same
time, and can only avoid attacks alone. (Can't grab someone's
left arm and run through a barrage of bullets unharmed, for
example.)
This works on smaller objects, mainly. For example,
a sword would be trouble. Someone's fist
wouldn't be worth the trouble.
Cwen gained this amazing speed through need: unlike other
Remnants, she is not invulnerable. The opposite, in fact! She
is very vulnerable to attacks that actually make it to her.
Strength: Strong
Uses: Passive
Hand Guard:
Cwen's right hand and adjoined arm is her weapon. It can be used in a similar
manner as other weapons, like swords or maces and so on. As
is such, her right hand can meet a blade like a blade would,
and so on, without receiving damage.
Her left hand and arm, though, is very much like a normal human's
hand. Sturdy, but not exactly strong.
Strength: Moderate
Uses: Passive
Bonded:
Cwen is permanently bonded in a link with Aly. This means
that all of Cwen's natural abilities are enhanced, though the
only thing that's really changed is her strength. Cwen is
strong enough to toss cars (though not casually).
The cost of this bond is high, though. Any damage Aly
receives, Cwen will receive. This includes death.
Strength: Moderate
Uses: Passive
Trickster's Right:
Cwen can use an opponent's ability as if it were her own, so long as she has been hit by it in some way. The copied
ability isn't permanently part of Cwen's arsenal, and is the same strength as the original (weak, moderate, etc.).
This doesn't affect the opponent's ability.
This only applies to a character/summon/minion's attacking abilities. Passive abilities aren't able to be copied, and the same
goes for weapon-unique
abilities (unless Cwen manages to nab the opponent's weapon), equips, Keyblade unique abilities, or items.
Strength: Strong
Uses: Once per battle; only one ability.
Elemental Weakness: Wind
History: Cwen is a battle hardened warrior, standing
triumphant through massacres, destroying monarchies that have
withstood generations and countless armies on a whim, and has
a very short list of names of people she desperately wants to
get revenge on. Often, this revenge involves stealing pants.
Don't ask, please.
Cwen is a remnant, a creature with no limit on age, that is
incredibly powerful. Remnants are stereotyped as selfish,
cruel, and tricksters. Many a foolish man has lost their life
to a Remnant.
The stereotype isn't all that wrong. The few remnants that
remain help to spread the rumor, even. They think it's all
very fun to deceive the entire population.
However, for all they are shunned as monsters, they are also
sought out for. As companions, there are no equals.
There are risks, of course. To both the remnant and
the person. But there's also benefits. Bonded remnants gain
traits that the bondee has. However, it also ties their lives
to the bondee. Should the bondee die of any means (natural or
unnatural), then so will the bonded remnant. The remnant
cannot die until such a time: when defeated, they fade away
into the bondee's subconscious. After a short while, the
remnant should be sufficiently healed to return to battle.
But that short while is more than enough to kill the bondee.
Cwen is a loner among the forty-something Remnants that
remain in known existence. Unlike many Remnants, she is not
invulnerable to poison, or death. Though she could
theoretically live forever, she can be killed. Cwen
doesn't like that in the slightest, and though she doesn't
say it, she hates the fact.
Because of it, she seeks out possible bondees constantly.
Cwen hopes to find a human, or any other being, immune to
death. In doing so, she can use the person to extend her life
and power beyond any other remnant.
Yeah, Cwen's not the nicest person you'll meet. She gets that
a lot, actually.

Aleasa Harper was a nobody, literally.
She didn't make friends. She didn't get involved, didn't want
to go anywhere in particular, and never thought long and hard
about the future.
There wasn't one, as far as she was concerned.
No plans. No questions, like "What do you wanna be when you
grow up?". No real... progression. Who she was yesterday is
who she is today, and who she'll be tomorrow.
Aly's parents weren't oblivious to the fact that their
daughter wasn't growing up. They encouraged her to be more
active, make friends, get involved.
And Aly would shake her head. "I'm fine, thanks. Can I go
back to reading now?"
Her father was a scientist. Not one of the highest caliber,
but he certainly was a dreamer. He'd had his fair share of
success, making enough money for him to finally settle on his
own life long goal. (One you should've already guessed by
now.)
Curing death.
No small feat, to be sure. But he worked. HE worked hard and
long, stayed many a night up until the morning hours broke
through the evening ones.
His efforts stirred up attention in more than one place.
Rumors flying around, about the man who had decided to cheat
death.
One creature, a remnant, heard of his tale. (Another detail
you pro'bly picked up on earlier. ^_^)
Aly couldn't say she really cared. She knew he was trying
alright, but she never dreamed he might succeed. She kept to
her books.
Cwen, on the other hand, was immeasurably delighted at
hearing of this. For the first time in centuries... there
seemed to be hope for herplotI mean plight. Yeah.
Plight.
Therefore... Cwen broke into the Harper household, saw fit to
blow a hole in Aly's bedroom wall, and storm in, demanding
Mr. Harper to show.
What a bad night to be away at a convention, eh?
Thoroughly traumatized, and well out of her depth, Aly
stammered out where her dad was.
Cwen was none too pleased with the sudden turn of events. Not
wanting to run away and have them prepare some kind of
defenses... and not wanting to give up on her lifelong
goal... Cwen threatened Aleasa with death if she didn't bond
with her.
At this point, Aly was almost shell-shocked. Bonding with a
remnant is a good thing, by popular definition... but the
remnant shouldn't want it!
But the "death or bond" bit got her to get out something that
could vaguely be considered a nod.
Cwen was very sure the man who could leave death wanting
wouldn't let his daughter out of the same deal.
And so it was that Aly and Cwen were bonded.
Her father came home to a missing wall, most of his experiments destroyed, (turns out blowing out walls is a bad thing. Who
knew?) and his daughter bonded to a violent creature.
Mr. Harper had extra headache pills the next few weeks.
Though the research remained intact, the experiments
themselves would have to be started again from the beginning.
Not to mention that Aly and Cwen don't exactly get along.
But in the wake of the hectic occurrences surrounding their
bonding, Cwen managed to convince the father to let Aly and
Cwen hide out elsewhere.
Cwen plans on using it as a chance to blackmail the father,
while the father sees it as getting his Aly out of danger.
Nobody really asked Aly about it.
Soon after, bad things began to happen. Competitors vying for the notes started pressuring for early releases of the studies,
claiming Aly was in danger and that her father was incapable of protecting her from a remnant, and so on.
And then a remnant actually managed to get into the house and kill Mr. Harper. Cwen's still kicking herself for that one.
Now, armed with the late scientist's research, Aly and Cwen travel the worlds in search of a scientist who could very well
complete the formula. ...assuming they don't kill each other first.

Hesitantly, Aly looks from one weapon to
the next, with her mouth covered as she thinks nervously.
She's very obviously overthinking the whole situation.
Cwen whaps her on the shoulder and tells her to bloody pick
already.
Rubbing her shoulder, Aly steps forward, towards the shield.
After a moment, one long enough that Cwen motions to hit her
again, Aly grabs the shield from the sides, pulling it down
from the pedestal.I'll be the defender.
Cwen shoves a lock hair out of her face, thinking about how
cool the sword woulda been.[/blockquote]

~Other~
I'd like to go ahead an' spend 500 munny
for the AP Summon Boost thing, please!
Also, I know Cwen's abilities kinda push it, but I'm hoping the bond with Aly evens it out enough, given she's not really capable of avoiding attacks.
