Just writing this here to try to sort out an idea floating in my head.

*ponders*

Black mages from Nathan's home world appearing at first in pairs, scouting and hunting him down for the crime of killing another member of the Black Mage Guild.

These members are weak with most fighting and supportive magic, but still strong enough to be dangerious.


Later on, stronger members of the guild come hunting Nathan, still attacking in pairs.

It'd have to start in a simple town where the people begin to hunt him, first having them track him with a small device made for tracking those with enough mana. The battles will be hard for him to win, really hard, due to him not being able to use his spells as much as he'd like yet.

He'll need friends then, one or two people who aren't too strong but want to help the Black Mage not fall to the hands of other Black Mages.

Dee (link in sig) would probably be a reasonable traveling companion as the black mages from your world would probably be somewhat interested in his status as an artificial black mage. Or something. XD

Also, he's somewhat new too!
